Yo Eric Happy Holidays ! Today I made the first step into changing my life and I signed up for the gym. I understand I’m a beginner and I know I don’t know everything yet so I’m trying to have patience with myself but thank you for you’re videos. I watch them all the time and they’re super helpful. God bless man keep doing what you do hopefully I stick with it and change myself for the better. 🙏🏻
🎉🎉🎉🎉 TO A BETTER YOU, @CTHANGG!! Yyyeeessss!! This decision is the hardest part! the rest, is a non-stop hate/love jounery but YOU are the author and actor/actress of your OWN journey!! I love seeing these comments, LETS GOOO 2023👏🏼👊🏼
Eric what would be the most accurate way to count steps? I would have to rely on a walker mostly to do steps (two botched hip replacements). I am 71 and a caregiver to my son. So how would be the best way to track steps? You have lifted me out of a dark place and I have hope again to losing my 72 lbs !
I’m so sorry for your health issues and bless you for caring for your son! I have the pedometer on my phone as well as an Apple Watch. A Fitbit would work too.
Happy Holidays Eric! Me and my wife love and appreciate your videos! I’m surprised your channel isn’t bigger on here. Anyway, quick question. Would it make sense to do a quick mini cut to “jump start” the weight loss process, then lessen the deficit after 2-ish weeks to have a more sustainable weight loss rate over the long term?
Jabari! So glad it helps man. Great question, it's possible yes.. but you just have to be disciplined to not get greedy with the mini-cut and truly stick to the 4 week mark for example.. a lot of people try to keep extending it out and do it for longer and it backfires
Hi Eric love this video it’s super helpful! I have been wanting to lose 30-40 pounds to start my weight loss journey do you have any videos to set up this type of diet?
@Hailey K Riehl - I so thought of THIS video for many beginners because HE MAKES SENSE! Don’t over do too fast because we give it faster…. I have learned, so yes! Do this video and set your goal small, then hit that and set another round… LETS GOOO!!
Love this! Thank you 👍 My issue is with steps… I fractured my ankle 30 yrs ago in a car accident and now have horrible arthritis. Taking walks is not an option for me (I’ll be in pain and limping after 15 min. of walking). I need low impact options.
I've tried playing with multiple caloric ranges since April to try and figure out where to be for maintenance and where to be for cutting. And apparently I maintain everywhere because nothing is happening. Not even measurements hahaha. It's OK though. Still not giving up. Fuck it. I'm healthier than I was last December. But any advice on finding a good fuckin calorie range? Like damn lol
Finally getting around to watching this - been keeping you starred in my inbox since receiving (: Thank you for describing the difference between a moderate caloric deficit and a mini cut! I've been moderate forever and was considering a mini cut for specific time-specific dates/goals. "Quick" question(s) - What impact does a caloric deficit and/or mini cut have on building muscle? I would classify myself as an intermediate lifter who typically is in a 300-500 calorie deficit. Is recomposition a possibility/what are the realistic expectations?

Do you have a fitness tracker? Doesn’t have to be an expensive “smart” watch. There are many useful ones on Amazon cheap.
