I just picked up two new pistols yesterday... my CZ TS2 Orange & the Canik / TT Colab pistol.
(Quick shout out to MAD DOG Armory - Tampa for finding both pistols).
I went out yesterday and ran about 200 rounds in the CZ and it was an amazing. I ran off 50 rounds on the Canik and i put it back in the case... I couldn't hit the side of a barn with that thing. I love the video you have put together here and all of the info is very helpful.
I feel like the CZ really complimented my Sig Sauer P226. I like the weight and the overall balance of the pisol.
thanks again and keep the vids. coming!!

Sunday was indeed a good day for you, Acrobat ! Yes indeed, now 1050 rounds (3 sessions) into my TS2 Orange - and absolutely loving it & synching with it very quickly (happy to hear sounds like the same for you). Getting it back from my local gunsmith tomorrow - he's replacing the thumb safety with the wider-shelved one from the TS2 Bronze in Europe. And I now have the Ghost holster all set up and ready for it, too. So I should be truly good-to-go this coming Sunday for another 350-400 rd session.
What SIg P226 do you have. I've been curious (never shot it) about their Limited division X-Five Stas version with the black grips. If that's the one you have, please let me know how it compares (positives & negatives) to the TS2 Orange (whenever you get around to doing a serious comparative).
Have long heard mixed-things about the Taran Tactical shooters - from great to hate. But the 1911 Syndicate's absolute panning of it video on YT has made me sure to not pursue such a pricey purchase. Too many universally-applauded offerings out there to pick from instead, if / when spending such money. I do believe there is a "law of diminishing returns" in the world of pistols.
I don't post to often (have full time profession) - but trying to do so more often. THANK YOU for subscribing !

Hi TZ & thank you for commenting. Yes - if you know the CZ platform & are a fan of their higher-end / competition-level offerings, I believe you will be extremely & ecstatically pleased if you move ahead and by the TS2 Orange. I'm now at 1050 rounds and have only increasingly enjoyed her with each session. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions pre-purchase. And be sure to follow-up with how you like her post-purchase. Cheers !

I am with you 1000%. Although not a competitive shooter, I shoot Precision Accurate at 25 and 50 yards "slow fire" standing unsupported, with 5 round groups ranging from 1.5"-3" respectivly. So I wanted to purchase the most "Precision Accurate" pistol I could afford, with my goal to reduce my group sizes down from 1-2.5". I like to consider myself a "Pistol Sniper". With this pistol and its phenomenal trigger I feel I can accomplish my goal. Just as you have, I only recently found one CZ TS 2 Orange 9mm by accident two days ago, I gave up looking months ago and this one just popped up so I took the plunge.
What I like about the pistol is its Trigger, ( which is aluminum) its Ergonomics, Balance, Bull barrel, Iron adjustable sights, easily removable front side via set screw, and its LOOKS!
Looking forward to more videos of this model from your channel.

Thanks for writing, PrecisionMarksman. First, let me complement you on your tight groups in Precision Accurate. Never heard of that as a competition - but what matters is your shooting & dedication to it & obvious efforts on improving. I have a close buddy who regularly shoots the informal 'Bullseye' competitions at the outdoor range / club we belong to (small targets w/ pistols at 75') - so I know how much he loves that & works at it & enjoys the friendly competition with his precision friends. And the always-superb accuracy of CZ pistols - especially the new TS2O with its 5.2" bull barrel & feather trigger - would certainly make that a great selection for your future matches.
Bought yours just 2 days ago - Have you shot it ? Did you do precision work with it today (Sunday) after getting it Friday ? Results ?
I had my second outing today with her & another 350 rounds - all on steel at 45' - and found I was really synching with it very quickly & easily - and enjoying the hell out of it ! Going thru ammo at a truly alarming rate ! Will definitely be doing some Action Steel competitions in Limited division with it as soon as the broiling FL summer is over. All my pistols, as you can see in my videos, are either for Carry/Car/Home defense ... or shooting Action Steel. Shot today with my TS2O just about as well as I ever have, and after only 2 sessions with her. She's right up there with, maybe just a millimeter below, my Bul Radical R - so that pretty much says it all !
All my best to you & thanks again for commenting. ENJOY your TS2O ! I am certain you will !

I have two of the twos on in 9 and one in 40. No it is not there best Checkmates blow it out of the water. The bull shadow has a bull barrel. It was Eric that wanted it. It was Angus. If your shooting limited the Double alapha racer xi has an insert and they fit. You can get those off off Ben Stogers Pro shop.I have at least a dozen Cz pistols I and my son both shoot USPSA I generally shot open with one of my Checkmates. My son shoots limited with our tso(1) the tso 2s are a little on the large size for him. He’s 14.

You have a great Green shooter, there, MFA ! Yes, for 3+ months I was deeply regretting selling my TS2 Racing Green (to 'upgrade') as I shot it MUCH better than its replacement. Thank goodness that CZ came out with the significantly upgraded TS2 Orange in that interim period ... as finding a now-discontinued Green is both very rare/difficult and priced at a hefty premium to what we originally purchased it for. Thank you for commenting & keep shooting straight !

Yup, V8P - I know what you mean when you have something nice like that. But you want / need to perform at the level you're capable of ... and such a superb firearm as the TS2 RG let's you do that comfortably - hence the conundrum. Maybe put the more pristine of the 2 aside for occasional shooting - and beat the hell out of the other one (hehehe) ?

Dear all, I shot my new TS2O for the first time last week during a course. I could not work the safety for life of me coming in and out of the holster My right thumb is raw at the UL side as I was trying to flip the safety up. All of the extended safeties have found are out of stock. I’m thinking about selling it. Any suggestions?

Hey there, JS. No No No 😁! Don't give up on a spectacular pistol for 1 part that's giving you a bit of trouble !
Option 1 - If you are ok with the width of the thumb ledge / shelf, and only are having problems with it snapping on / off with a tactile (but easy) click - then simply bring it to a good, competent gunsmith in your town - and have him work the thumb safety until it's clicking on/ off as you want. That would be a very inexpensive, easy fix.
Option #2 - If the width of the thumb safety's ledge / shelf is also a problem for you (as it was for me) then contact X-Ray parts in Italy ... make sure with them that this part is indeed wider than the stock TS2O safety ... and (if so) buy it & have your local gunsmith install it properly on your TS20. xrayparts.it/en/cz-shadow-2-spare-parts/639-wide-extended-safety-for-cz-shadow-2-cz.html.
      Sound good ?

    • @PBPistoleer
      @PBPistoleer  Місяць тому +1

Thank you very much, Archerious ! Mine is in 9mm - so shooting Limited division - minor. I have to say that - with the meaningful improvements they made over the TS2 Racing Green, and the original TSO - the pistol is simply fantastic. For the price I believe it's practically (definitely?) unbeatable as a pretty high-level, out-of-the-box race gun. And, for me specifically (very important to distinguish that given my hands & natural shooting preferences) it's nearly perfect. The more time I spend with it (now ~3,500 rounds), the more I synch with it and appreciate it. Not quite as good as my Bul Radical - but at 2/3 the price of that - it's right there in a bang-for-buck comparison.
Do you have any CZs ? What do you shoot ?
TGIF ! Thanks for commenting & participating !! Cheers !!!

Hi JS. Yes, from early on I purchased & have been using a Ghost The One EVO competition holster. When buying from Ghost, you need to select the option for the "CZSp01/TS/TSO". I got that one to fit my TS2O perfectly. Ghost holsters get a very high recommendation from me - durable, quality build, works fantastically well -all at a very reasonable price / good value. Let me know if you get one & how it turns out for you. Or if you do something else - how that works. Thanks for participating. Cheers !

Thanks for Commenting, V8P ! That TS2 Green was FANTASTIC ! Never should have parted with it - though it did (as explained in vid) ultimately get me into the TS2O. I've gone to OKC for 3 Action Steel competitions in the past year (haven't done USPSA yet) - but have decided I'll only do it from Oct thru May, and only 3-4 times per year. Don't have the admirable dedication you do - but really do enjoy it when I've done so. Maybe I'll ramp things up in '25. Keep up the good work & shoot straight + fast ! Cheers !

Thanks for the feedback. Uggh - how disappointing ! I have only been shooting the "comes-with" 16 lb - which runs perfectly. Was hoping that the lighter springs would still work (I shoot 147 gr) - and I WILL eventually try it out - but sounds like no need to rush into that. That's disappointing - why supply lighter springs if they really aren't going to work (especially with mainstream 124 gr ammo).

I ordered the same gun, I want to do a slide cut for SRO. I'm not sure If I should port the barrel ? what your thoughts on porting this gun ? I don't compete with it.

    • @PBPistoleer
      @PBPistoleer  5 місяців тому +1

Thank you, Evan, for your comment / inquiry !
      1) Yes, having a good gunsmith drill the back of the slide for an optic cut is VERY common for all those red dot shooters that want to use CZ's. Quite surprising that CZ still isn't doing that from-factory - but they (as great as their pistols indeed are) seem to be quite slow to adapt to popular (even majority, now?) trends. I can't personally vouch for it - but if you don't have a good gunsmith to do that, I know Cajun GunWorks works on CZ's in large volume - so they should (check reviews & videos on it) be quite adept at doing it well.
      2) Not only do I NOT recommend porting the barrel on this pistol - but (with all due respect & intended positivity) the fact that you are asking that leads me to question if this is truly the best pistol choice for what you really want / need. My first rule is making sure that the gun you are buying is for its proper, intended-from-manufacturer use case. This is definitely either (1) a competition pistol or (2) a range toy / safe queen that will induce interest & envy from others ... and not very much else. Your asking about porting (I would think to maximize a flat shooting experience) makes me think that you may be (and apologies if not) intending to use it as a tactical / defense shooter - or a home defense gun. And its super-light trigger & hefty weight does not make it ideal for those uses in any way.
Happy to discuss this more, as we are fortunately (in the US in 2024) in a golden age of pistols with many high-quality manufacturers making many great pistols for all use-cases. And there are indeed many from-factory ported (or even compensated) shooters you can choose from to make you fully satisfied - IF that is indeed what you want more than a competition gun or range toy / safe queen. The new Bul 5" Tac Pro (ported) would stand out very highly for that use-case (at an all-in comparable price point).
Hope that helps. Nice chatting with you. And feel free to reach out again if you need more info / details !

I hate to say it, as I am one of the biggest Bul Armory fans in the world. I feel very strongly that (along with CZ's competition pistols) Bul Armory gives you just about the best 'value-for-quality-for-money' equation of all premium handguns. But I sold my TS2 Racing Green after 5k rounds to 'upgrade' to the Bul Air. I owned the Bul Tac 4.25' and shot it just about as well as a competition pistol. And I shoot my Bul Radicals better than anything non-compensated I've ever shot (aside from an $8k Infinity). So I thought (for $600 extra after selling my TS2 Green - which I loved & shot beautifully) I would 'upgrade' to the Bul Air. While I do think the Buls are slightly higher-quality than CZs - a little better fit & finish & quality control - I just couldn't shoot that Air at all. Despite the tons of crazy rave reviews on it - it certainly didn't work for me. So I sold that for a $300 loss - but bought the TS2 Orange (with its big upgrades over the Green) for another $380 less than what I pocketed upon the Air sale. So, I came out (despite 2-3 months of frustration / anguish) pretty much break-even - and I am (now 1050 rounds in) LOVING the Orange. I think it's spectacular (especially for less than $2k all-in) - and am shooting it very well (for me).
By the way, the good friend who bought my Air is absolutely loving it - and told me that he feels it's his now 2nd best shooter (and he has a very nice collection) behind his Staccatto XL (very similar pistol, but heavier). Just goes to show you how individual it is !
As you can see from my videos, I am 100% hammer-fired, metal pistols. That said, I follow everything I can get my hands on pistol-wise - and you mentioned 1 of the 2 polymer-based shooters that seriously interests me. One is the RIA 5.0E, and the other is the Grand Power X-Caliber. I really would love to shoot the rotating-barrel mechanism. While mostly raves about it & talk about how flat it shoots with minimum recoil / muzzle rise ... it doesn't actually look that way to me (visibly only) in the many videos I've seen on it. That said, I believe that their words are genuine - and that is what they're really feeling / seeing from the front sight. Do you own one ? Have you shot one ? Or just very interested ?
      Thanks for commenting !
