What I have seen done (on the DWX which has the same magazine release) is shaving the release face on an angle, drilling and tapping a hole, and installing the Shadow 2 release. Onto it. Takes some work, but it’s doable
That’s hard… honestly very hard. Let’s talk TS2 Orange in comparison instead since it’s done a little more like the DWX in quality. Although they’re both owned by Colt-CZ, and both were designed for competition. (although some may argue the ts2 was a little more intentional than the DWX) I think it’s truly a feel thing between the 2. They’re very equal competitors in my opinion as far as optimal shooting performance goes. I run a DWX and S2 in competition. And even then, I wouldn’t be upset if the DWX was replaced with a TS2Orange or TSO. But I’d also miss how that 1911 style slide cycles in comparison to the TS2. If I had to have one or the other, I’d have to say I’d take DWX. BUT I’d be hard staring at the TS walking away from it just the same!
I shoot a Shadow 2 and a number of X5’s in USPSA and UML 3 gun. I am probably going to get a DWX when they become available again. I just don’t see any 2011 ish type of gun in it’s league for the price. The steel frame, the magazine availability and the ability to tune the weight and grip with Lok products just make it a winner for me. Thanks for the response!
I had the same problem with the extended mag release button, do you know where I can get the shorter one? Or someone can modify it?
Thanks

Much difference between said pistol and the ts2O ?
TS2 O has a gas pedal, bull barrel, and better shadow style mag release. To me, yes.
Nice shootin' iron! 🙂
Thank you sir!
DWX or TS2?

Yeah I’d say the next best “2011” thing that’s comparable in price is a prodigy build. You’ll still be around the same cost in the end I think.
@@thegreenberetlife0191 great choice my friend. I did a few videos on my dwx as well if you want to see more
A blind person can shoot the TS2 and not miss the target with that amazing light 1.5 pound trigger and gun weight and none tilting barrel.
