    You have a great Green shooter, there, MFA ! Yes, for 3+ months I was deeply regretting selling my TS2 Racing Green (to 'upgrade') as I shot it MUCH better than its replacement. Thank goodness that CZ came out with the significantly upgraded TS2 Orange in that interim period ... as finding a now-discontinued Green is both very rare/difficult and priced at a hefty premium to what we originally purchased it for. Thank you for commenting & keep shooting straight !

    I had commented on your last video, that I also recently purchased a CZ TS 2 Orange. Primarily I Shoot at an indoor range, purely for accuracy at diatances from 25 to 50 yards. This pistol is super accurate. From 25 yards, (Two hands, Standing unsupported, "slow fire") using Blazer Brass 124gr fmj , I shot a 5 round group measuring 1" into the Bullseye 3" diameter X-ring! The smallest group I had ever shot before was 1.5" with a Sig Sauer P220 9mm.

      Yes indeed, Precision - I remember your last comment & my reply. That is certainly some excellent marksmanship there ! Just finished cleaning my TS2O tonight - and seeing how long the internal rails are, and how tight the slide to frame fit is, and the long 5.2" barrel, and that snap trigger ... the pistol certainly lends itself to getting out of it whatever you can. Keep up the good work !

    I ordered the same gun, I want to do a slide cut for SRO. I'm not sure If I should port the barrel ? what your thoughts on porting this gun ? I don't compete with it.

    • @PBPistoleer
      @PBPistoleer 24 дні тому

      Thank you, Evan, for your comment / inquiry ! 1) Yes, having a good gunsmith drill the back of the slide for an optic cut is VERY common for all those red dot shooters that want to use CZ's. Quite surprising that CZ still isn't doing that from-factory - but they (as great as their pistols indeed are) seem to be quite slow to adapt to popular (even majority, now?) trends. I can't personally vouch for it - but if you don't have a good gunsmith to do that, I know Cajun GunWorks works on CZ's in large volume - so they should (check reviews & videos on it) be quite adept at doing it well. 2) Not only do I NOT recommend porting the barrel on this pistol - but (with all due respect & intended positivity) the fact that you are asking that leads me to question if this is truly the best pistol choice for what you really want / need. My first rule is making sure that the gun you are buying is for its proper, intended-from-manufacturer use case. This is definitely either (1) a competition pistol or (2) a range toy / safe queen that will induce interest & envy from others ... and not very much else. Your asking about porting (I would think to maximize a flat shooting experience) makes me think that you may be (and apologies if not) intending to use it as a tactical / defense shooter - or a home defense gun. And its super-light trigger & hefty weight does not make it ideal for those uses in any way. Happy to discuss this more, as we are fortunately (in the US in 2024) in a golden age of pistols with many high-quality manufacturers making many great pistols for all use-cases. And there are indeed many from-factory ported (or even compensated) shooters you can choose from to make you fully satisfied - IF that is indeed what you want more than a competition gun or range toy / safe queen. The new Bul 5" Tac Pro (ported) would stand out very highly for that use-case (at an all-in comparable price point). Hope that helps. Nice chatting with you. And feel free to reach out again if you need more info / details !

      Hi TZ & thank you for commenting. Yes - if you know the CZ platform & are a fan of their higher-end / competition-level offerings, I believe you will be extremely & ecstatically pleased if you move ahead and by the TS2 Orange. I'm now at 1050 rounds and have only increasingly enjoyed her with each session. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions pre-purchase. And be sure to follow-up with how you like her post-purchase. Cheers !

      I hate to say it, as I am one of the biggest Bul Armory fans in the world. I feel very strongly that (along with CZ's competition pistols) Bul Armory gives you just about the best 'value-for-quality-for-money' equation of all premium handguns. But I sold my TS2 Racing Green after 5k rounds to 'upgrade' to the Bul Air. I owned the Bul Tac 4.25' and shot it just about as well as a competition pistol. And I shoot my Bul Radicals better than anything non-compensated I've ever shot (aside from an $8k Infinity). So I thought (for $600 extra after selling my TS2 Green - which I loved & shot beautifully) I would 'upgrade' to the Bul Air. While I do think the Buls are slightly higher-quality than CZs - a little better fit & finish & quality control - I just couldn't shoot that Air at all. Despite the tons of crazy rave reviews on it - it certainly didn't work for me. So I sold that for a $300 loss - but bought the TS2 Orange (with its big upgrades over the Green) for another $380 less than what I pocketed upon the Air sale. So, I came out (despite 2-3 months of frustration / anguish) pretty much break-even - and I am (now 1050 rounds in) LOVING the Orange. I think it's spectacular (especially for less than $2k all-in) - and am shooting it very well (for me). By the way, the good friend who bought my Air is absolutely loving it - and told me that he feels it's his now 2nd best shooter (and he has a very nice collection) behind his Staccatto XL (very similar pistol, but heavier). Just goes to show you how individual it is ! As you can see from my videos, I am 100% hammer-fired, metal pistols. That said, I follow everything I can get my hands on pistol-wise - and you mentioned 1 of the 2 polymer-based shooters that seriously interests me. One is the RIA 5.0E, and the other is the Grand Power X-Caliber. I really would love to shoot the rotating-barrel mechanism. While mostly raves about it & talk about how flat it shoots with minimum recoil / muzzle rise ... it doesn't actually look that way to me (visibly only) in the many videos I've seen on it. That said, I believe that their words are genuine - and that is what they're really feeling / seeing from the front sight. Do you own one ? Have you shot one ? Or just very interested ? Thanks for commenting !

      Will let you know if I ever head over to Tampa with pistolas in hand ... but not very likely in the near-term. I do, however, head mid-state to OK Corral in Okeechobee to do an Action Steel competition every now-n-then / approx 3 times per year. Yup - Bought my first pistol just before the Nov '20 election. And after about 6 months & decided I wanted to seriously speed up & shrink my groups - and make it my hobby / sport. 3.5 years later, I'm still pretty obsessed with it and have loved the journey. Very cool that you too "have the bug". The Buls are amazing & can't recommend them any higher (especially for the money / value propositions). And I feel very much the same about the competition-level CZs. Keep up the good work & practice & enjoyment !

    I just picked up two new pistols yesterday... my CZ TS2 Orange & the Canik / TT Colab pistol. (Quick shout out to MAD DOG Armory - Tampa for finding both pistols). I went out yesterday and ran about 200 rounds in the CZ and it was an amazing. I ran off 50 rounds on the Canik and i put it back in the case... I couldn't hit the side of a barn with that thing. I love the video you have put together here and all of the info is very helpful. I feel like the CZ really complimented my Sig Sauer P226. I like the weight and the overall balance of the pisol. thanks again and keep the vids. coming!!

      Sunday was indeed a good day for you, Acrobat ! Yes indeed, now 1050 rounds (3 sessions) into my TS2 Orange - and absolutely loving it & synching with it very quickly (happy to hear sounds like the same for you). Getting it back from my local gunsmith tomorrow - he's replacing the thumb safety with the wider-shelved one from the TS2 Bronze in Europe. And I now have the Ghost holster all set up and ready for it, too. So I should be truly good-to-go this coming Sunday for another 350-400 rd session. What SIg P226 do you have. I've been curious (never shot it) about their Limited division X-Five Stas version with the black grips. If that's the one you have, please let me know how it compares (positives & negatives) to the TS2 Orange (whenever you get around to doing a serious comparative). Have long heard mixed-things about the Taran Tactical shooters - from great to hate. But the 1911 Syndicate's absolute panning of it video on YT has made me sure to not pursue such a pricey purchase. Too many universally-applauded offerings out there to pick from instead, if / when spending such money. I do believe there is a "law of diminishing returns" in the world of pistols. I don't post to often (have full time profession) - but trying to do so more often. THANK YOU for subscribing !

    I am with you 1000%. Although not a competitive shooter, I shoot Precision Accurate at 25 and 50 yards "slow fire" standing unsupported, with 5 round groups ranging from 1.5"-3" respectivly. So I wanted to purchase the most "Precision Accurate" pistol I could afford, with my goal to reduce my group sizes down from 1-2.5". I like to consider myself a "Pistol Sniper". With this pistol and its phenomenal trigger I feel I can accomplish my goal. Just as you have, I only recently found one CZ TS 2 Orange 9mm by accident two days ago, I gave up looking months ago and this one just popped up so I took the plunge. What I like about the pistol is its Trigger, ( which is aluminum) its Ergonomics, Balance, Bull barrel, Iron adjustable sights, easily removable front side via set screw, and its LOOKS! Looking forward to more videos of this model from your channel.

      Thanks for writing, PrecisionMarksman. First, let me complement you on your tight groups in Precision Accurate. Never heard of that as a competition - but what matters is your shooting & dedication to it & obvious efforts on improving. I have a close buddy who regularly shoots the informal 'Bullseye' competitions at the outdoor range / club we belong to (small targets w/ pistols at 75') - so I know how much he loves that & works at it & enjoys the friendly competition with his precision friends. And the always-superb accuracy of CZ pistols - especially the new TS2O with its 5.2" bull barrel & feather trigger - would certainly make that a great selection for your future matches. Bought yours just 2 days ago - Have you shot it ? Did you do precision work with it today (Sunday) after getting it Friday ? Results ? I had my second outing today with her & another 350 rounds - all on steel at 45' - and found I was really synching with it very quickly & easily - and enjoying the hell out of it ! Going thru ammo at a truly alarming rate ! Will definitely be doing some Action Steel competitions in Limited division with it as soon as the broiling FL summer is over. All my pistols, as you can see in my videos, are either for Carry/Car/Home defense ... or shooting Action Steel. Shot today with my TS2O just about as well as I ever have, and after only 2 sessions with her. She's right up there with, maybe just a millimeter below, my Bul Radical R - so that pretty much says it all ! All my best to you & thanks again for commenting. ENJOY your TS2O ! I am certain you will !

    Thanks for the video. I have a Radical 5.7 R in 40, and a 5.4 in 9mm. I was interested in your Cheely grip. Who put that on for you? I'm surprised that you're still able to use Bul mags with it.

    • @PBPistoleer
      @PBPistoleer 4 місяці тому

      Thanks for writing, ORMCQU ! I had my excellent gunsmith in West Palm Beach put the Cheely Grip on that customized Radical - and since he's very talented, it seemed no problem for him. Bul mags work perfectly fine with it, too. BUT - please note that you will not be able to put your existing Bul magwells (probably Bul's aluminum ones that came with the Radical) on to a Cheely grip (if you end up making the switch). So, that ended up costing me ~$600 for the Cheely Grip + ~$250 for a new Cheely Magwell too ... was more expensive than I wanted, but it did still turn out AMAZING ! Depending on what you're trying to accomplish (weight addition & recoil / muzzle rise control vs texture change / not liking the polymer grips feel vs aesthetics / looks) I'd have some recommendations for you re: taking the most cost-effective route (if you want that). Just let me know. Wow ! A Radical 5.7 R-Edition - that must shoot BEAUTIFULLY ! I love love love my Radical R-Edition 5.4" - and, if I get to a B or A classification level, that will become my main competition gun. And thank you for subscribing to my channel ! Don't expect a lot of content - but I do plan on an occasional post / video. Just replaced (for my heavy-use competition shooter to get me to a B or A level) my CZ TS2 Racing Green (1 video with that) with a New-In-Box, but old-stock Bul Air (now discontinued & replaced with the Blaze). Will probably post a video on that in the next few weeks. Made only 1 modification to it - otherwise shooting it stock - and probably an Action Steel competition with it coming up in April or May. Cheers !

      @PBPistoleer thanks for the response. I'm definitely interested in any info concerning Bul grips. I also have a Bul SAS II UR open pistol, and my carry gun is a Bul Viper. I was shooting my CZ TS, but the Radical just shoots better. So that's what I'm shooting these days. My story is very similar to yours. I'm a 63 year old C class shooter. I shoot once or twice a month if I'm lucky. Hopefully, this year, I'll be able to move up. I've definitely got to do more practicing. Keep up the good work. I'll be looking for more videos.

      Hi again, ORMCQU ! As to possible grip change on your Bul(s) ... For my customized 'safe queen' Radical it (again) ended up costing me ~$600 for the Cheely Grip + ~$250 for the Cheely Magwell ... was expensive at approx $850+. I'll be eventually shooting my Radical-R stock, as the metal grip is fantastic (and I assume you feel the same with your "R". For the Radical I believe you're contemplating a change on (I'll assume stock polymer grip) If your goal is simply to add weight to the grip and/or magwell areas - and you're ok with the existing polymer grip texture , let me make a wise, money-savings suggestion to you. Bul makes an Open division magwell of Tungsten that weighs 15 a lot. That (with a slightly longer affixing pin needed, too) will add ~1lb+ to the very base of the gun for merely $280 + $12 pin (far better than the $850+ noted above). You may not (not certain) be able to legally shoot USPSA Limited division (what Air is for) with that Open magwell affixed - but I think you may be allowed to & if you're doing 'less official' competitions and/or just looking for a slightly better-balanced shooting experience, that's the less expensive route I'd recommend. I just did this with my new Air (my only modification) - and it came in at 3.6 lbs vs 3.4 for my Radical R. Very impressive on the C-level achievement ! I'm not a USPSA member nor ever been 'qualified' but I believe I'm a high-D or a low-C. I'll probably do a qual later this year to actually know. As to you - we indeed seem to have a ton of similarities in where we are shooting-wise : Advanced age 😁. Deeply frustrating every-other-week availability. Bul Armory fanaticism. Recent CZ TS --> Bul Armory upgrade (as great as the CZs are - especially for the $ - the Buls are worth the upgrade). And I'm sure a lot more, too. Love discussing all things re: high quality pistols. Are you in Florida, by any chance ? Total shooting experience ? Too much to discuss on Comments. Please take this to sjroth1 at the most popular email provider - and we'll get in touch with each other later this week. Cheers !

      Thanks for your comment ! For the customized Radical in this video, I bought the basic model (probably the one you wisely ordered) back in August '22 ... spent about 1-2 months (1) cerakoting the thumb rest / gas pedal and barrel / sight block (2) replacing the polymer grip with a Cheely steel one & adding a brass magwell and (3) porting the slide. This one is my 'Safe Queen". On my channel, the only other video of this one is the one of me shooting the Dueling Tree. The pistol is such an exceptional shooter, that I also eventually located & bought a new-in-box, old-stock Radical "R" Limited-Edition model (discontinued for many years) back in July '23. On my channel, the 3 videos with the "R" are the 2 of me practicing for Action Steel - and the 1 Short of muzzle rise testing. When I'm good enough (at least B-qualified for Limited division) - the R will become my heavy-use competition shooter. You are going to LOVE your Bul - and I say that with 100% certainty !
