So they are be introduced to the secrets of the Cult Mechanicus, but recruited by an inquisitor before they swear loyalty to Mars as a full tech-priest. A proper tech-priest wouldn't be made an explicator let alone an inquisitor, and they wouldn't be allowed to renounce their vows to the Machine God and just walk away either.

That wasn't his voice, it was his modem, and he tried to conveniently cover that up by speaking through vox-hailers. It is a common affliction of our Blessed Order.

Tech priests usually speak binary amongst themselves and they tend to keep to themselves and not deal with fleshbags more than necessary. It strikes me as unintentional on the tech priest's part, portraying that he's speaking his second language and isn't as fluent as he could be.
Later on in the campaign the Inquisitor is looking for the remains of another Inquisitor and when he reaches the supposed burial site he tells the Adept he can't find the body to which he responds: "Do you require a primer on the rate of human decomposition across the millenia?" Him and the Magos Biologis are the funniest character by far

The joke is very fun, it would've been funnier if the Adept just kept the Metalic Screeching. There are problems tho, compare the voice here to the voice of Mechanicus Intro/Teaser and there is a... lore problem, Inquisitors have been trying to understand the Techna Lingua since inception and they have failed everytime. Well, minor problem for the avarage 40k enjoyer, but I'm a toast lover to the heart and this makes my emotion vaults be full with disgust.
The texture layer containing the blood is moving about. Pretty sure it's the same layer the lights are on, which gives the ship the feel of being in motion even when you're standing still. Also the same layer as the water when planetside. They're actually moving underneath the floor then floating back above it.
If Cawl and Kitten could have known each other prior to the battle, it likely wouldn't have happened. The Fabricator General is the real traitor in this scenario. Remember Episode 29. But yeah GW totally killed Kitten too. They're partly to blame.

The Tech-Priest switches to the "inferior" speech version in a bit of a mocking tone. Mechanicus came out a year after Inquisitor: Martyr, and the voice/sfx work they did for the Adeptus Mechanicus was absolutely outstanding. It was more like garbled mechanical noise than speech.

ARPG in 40K. Reviews seem fairly mixed, probably quite enjoyable if you like both 40K universe and ARPG's. If you only like one of those things then the game's probably not for you.
As someone who played it, and a huge 40k fan, I can say if you really love ARPG's and really love 40k just play path of exile and read some fluff.... way too much time and energy to have fun with the game. They do get the setting right, but so do the books.
It's gotten alot better than when it launched. As a whole it is a bit more streamlined and less quirky than before. Some loved that, some hated that. It still has things that set it apart from other ARPGs like how almost all your skills come from the weapons and gear you have equipped (exceptions: Psyker and Tech Priest). I find the visuals, sound, level design, amount of gore, setting and faithfulness to the lore make it one of the top 40K games out there. So unless you hate ARPGs and the like (top down games in general for instance) and you like 40K I'd say give it a pickup, especially when it's on sale incase you are on the fence about it. With additional endgame things to do and seasons they also increased long-play value. Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr is the base game. Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Prophecy is a standalone expansion adding the tech priest, who has a diffrent start than the Crusader, Assassin and Psyker do in the base game but their storylines eventually converge again as well as more story content. If you only buy Prophecy I believe you can't play the three base classes, only Tech Priest.
It's basically Diablo, but in 40k. The story is fairly engaging if rather heavily padded, the game mechanics are pretty janky at times but overall intuitive enough. I enjoyed it, and I would still be playing if not for my decision to stop play on all GW official products. Ultimately, if you're happy with just murdering xenos and heretics, looting them for better gear, then repeating that cycle ad infinitum then it's going to hold your attention really well. The mechanicus are a DLC character option and are obscenely overpowered, but they start the campaign halfway through so play one of the others first to get the full story of what's going on.
So for some reason, this is doing numbers.
If this is my legacy, I gladly accept it.

If you only buy Prophecy I believe you can't play the three base classes, only Tech Priest.
It's basically Diablo, but in 40k. The story is fairly engaging if rather heavily padded, the game mechanics are pretty janky at times but overall intuitive enough. I enjoyed it, and I would still be playing if not for my decision to stop play on all GW official products. Ultimately, if you're happy with just murdering xenos and heretics, looting them for better gear, then repeating that cycle ad infinitum then it's going to hold your attention really well. The mechanicus are a DLC character option and are obscenely overpowered, but they start the campaign halfway through so play one of the others first to get the full story of what's going on.
