You'd lose out on the game specific art and layout, but it would save on the number of mats to buy.
The update #6 on the kickstarter page confirms they are doing this. "Neoprene area playmat to house the dungeon, the torch track, the dungeon boss and the card decks."
I agree the cleric is great when playing as battlemage and is one best hero's love combining her with with full set of the scarab synergies very well together
hopefully there are ways to alter the difficulty. Seems like alot of loot and mitigation are making it a touch easy. Course it could of been just phenomenal dice rolls.

You should spend the focus before you collect it from the roll. This makes more sense. Since the roll is done due to using the attack thus paying before attacking and reaping rewards v
13:52 - Why maxing the focus 1st and then spending for the attack/spell? I guess in order to be able to make attack even when at 0 focus. But that way you wasted 4 bonus focus. Can we be flexible and use the bonus focus from dice in a mixed way (before AND after) or it will be too powerful balance-wise? 19:00 - Okay we can only roll maximum of 3 dice, but is it a terrible idea to have the +1 items to be used also as a reroll of one of these dice (when we have maximum [3] of this stat)? Again from balance perspective? Maybe you already considered it while designing the game? What's your thoughts? At 40:45 I found it weird that when Grok' Ull leaves the lair he comes out of the dungeon door and not the "taunted" pawn. How does this work thematically? Thanks for the video, the game looks awesome!!!
The boss lair is a giant room, not the boss. The boss token represents the actual boss and it can move rooms just like the players. So when the boss was taunted, it left the lair room through the lair door into the rest of the dungeon. Grok'Ull then did the same thing later, moving out of the lair back into dungeon through the lair door.
Sometimes yes, but Goblins are so squishy. If you take care of them, they are no big deal. But if you see them as weaklings and leave them be, they will swarm and overwhelm you.
If you let them stack they can be pretty dangerous because of their abilities per goblin on the board. Also getting the Gobling King as the boss can be scary.
I found it weird that the whole Lair Mechanic is barely used! why go into the lair if you can just Taunt the Boss out and not have to worry about the Penalties of the Lair Itself! can you even Hit the Boss if your in the Lair and he is walking around outside the Dungeon? The only way i see the Lair being used is if you can hit him while he is walking around outside being Taunted by someone else and the further spaces of the Lair actually make it easier to damage him... although then Thematically I wouldn't see how you can hit him while in his Home! (You Taunt a guy outta his house then sneak in and punch his Fridge to knock him out!)
Looks a little to easy since this is also a hard boss. And do you can’t split the Fokus dice during a heroic action ? I guess in the rulebook isn’t something saying that you can’t. I mean you can roll take Fokus from a not needed dice, do your heroic action and if there is a dice left with health or Fokus is it again ?

Love the gameplay, but really suspicious of the fact that they already have all of the screen printed and custom shape tokens. It's obvious that the 'stretch goals' were anything but and had been planned from the beginning.
We plan all of our stretch goals prior to launch. This includes getting factory prices and samples. We want to make sure that anything we offer is something we have handled in person and will be top notch quality.
This is how every tiny epic campaign is. Everything in the SGs is intended to be part of the game but they want certain funding levels to spend the manufacturing costs to produce those components.
I've fallen in love these.past few days with this game. I can't wait to add it in my collection. I've seen all the videos of this game and I have a question. When do you get the focus back from the dice. For example if you are at full focus and you use ethairna's spell and you get 5 - 1 -2 does that mean that you stay at full focus or is it that you first have to regenerate focus from the dice.and after spent it ? Or is it that there is no stacking through the actions ?
After you roll the dice, you pick which die to use for the check/action. You then immediately gain the focus from the unused dice. If already full on focus, you're full and cannot gain anymore. Next, you perform the action that you were rolling for, such as casting a spell, and spend the required focus to accomplish it.
I would love to see if the makers could create a playmat like they did with Tiny Epic Pirates

at the 43 min mark why use your focus to lower the dice from a three to a two? as all dice were used in the attack total.

I had already moved the torch down and ended my turn, then I recalled my free action and so I performed that. I can see how that was confusing though.

I am wondering, when you attack the serpent around 18:30, you don't have to take into account armor?
It's a spell cast, some spells don't take armour into account, but they just deal a fixed amount of damage.
Spells deal direct damage as opposed to a weapon which will take their armor into account.
Question.... When playing solo, do you need to control 2 heroes ?
I think they already answered in the KS comments, yes. You can't play with only 1 hero
