Man who doesn't fucking love Chris Adler, he's such a real dude, he has such a huge passion for what he does and turns out he's an amazingly handsome man.
I got to meet Chris at a NAMM Show party 3 or 4 years ago......he was sitting alone at a party in the Marriot bar......i engaged him in a great coversation about drums....i thanked him for his amazing music and politely took my leave. Total gentleman and a consumate professional.....and im a huge LOG fan.
This is Brad Pitt's long lost cousin Brad Moshpitt. (Ba Dum Tss) But seriously, it's amazing that he didn't get his first drum kit until the age of 21, and he's that good! So inspirational!
he is the only one that appreciates his fans i waited outside 15 degrees outside and chris came out and said hi and i was able to get a pic. but he is so about the fans thank you chris and thank you for being in tune with your fans! and i will continue to be a fan because i got to meet my favorite drummer thank you SIR!!!!!
Guitar Center makes awesome interviews! :) Chris is a true inspiration to me. Can't wait to see the new documentary. This inspired me. I'm gonna cover The faded line on drums now! one of his best works on the drums.
He was 21 when he got his first drum kit? CRAZY! If that doesn't tell you how talented someone is.. I don't know what will. I got mine at 15, and thought that I was old. I'm not even close to his latent level (with a LOT of hours behind the kit), and I'm 50 now. The take away from this, is that you don't have to start drums when you're 6 to be a prodigy. Stick with it and you might be the next great thing, regardless of age.
Raymond Lualhati... Don't ever be discouraged. I think I'm a darned good drummer. I've played mostly speed metal, punk and hard rock, throughout the years and Chris is one of my favorites in the genre. What I have found encouraging, is the fact that Chris really isn't trained in rudiments. You can tell by his style. Its great to see how people can overcome "setbacks" in training with good old fashioned practice and natural talent.
he's right. to see people headbang, moshing, or even give their horn signal, is really special to performer. i'll be honest i hate long ass practice session, long ass drive, or even recording a riff over and over again. but to see people come to together in front of you, thats special.
Indeed they are/were! Saw and met those guys back in 90-94ish in WA and SAZ. Killer musicians, great songs. For those unfamiliar with WA and Shannon Larkin in Wrathchild America: ua-cam.com/video/2Z8yOalGkds/v-deo.html
Cool inspirational story, now I don't feel so bad for getting my first drum kit at 36 years old. LOL For me it was Mike Mangini that made me get a drum kit and Jeff Waters made me get a guitar.
Hmmm. This is something I want to ask Chris Adler. If you started drums at 21 and Burn The Priest became a band at 99 and he is 22 years old that time. So it only took him 1 or 2 years of drumming to perform? And to think that drums in the tracks from the Burn the Priest and New American Gospel album are not a walk in a park. Damn he's good if thats the point.
+drummessiah The beard is trimmed. I saw him last night w/Megadeth and it's much, much shorter now. He cut off a lot of his hair too, it's like shoulder length now.
This guy is a world class musician. he plays all kinds of instruments. And he seems really nice and down to earth. hey check out my music channel! Thanks so much! Peace!
I met this guy once when I went to Kansas City for business. he looked just like Chris Adler but with short hair and a regular goatee. I told him if he had long hair and a long beard, he would look like Chris Adler. he said "you mean like this?" he pulled out his drivers license and I swear it was Chris. carbon copy.. no joke
For real though...that that's why I selected this video, but at the same time it's all good cuz he's a cool dude, but again, yes it would of been nice to hear him play smh lol
I see your point, I was also expecting him to play, but it's Chris Adler, there's zillions of videos of him playing drum solos and stuff, he's not a drummer that does not do solos
guitar centers over priced retail plus taxes prices funk that shit bra I be going to the second hand store for that kit with the Lil ding that's half priced good thing y'all got rich rock stars to keep ya floatin
I could use a sponser I play better than Lars Chris alder and Chad mofucker and what john bonhams spirit is in me hell kicked him out he played to loud kept the devil up during the day so he couldn't work at night taking souls
The man that doesn't age.
+Melinda Lee I thought it was because he was a wizard. I mean, look at that beard
***** let me show you Keith Richards.
Man who doesn't fucking love Chris Adler, he's such a real dude, he has such a huge passion for what he does and turns out he's an amazingly handsome man.
Do you burgie burgie
he started drums at 21... I'm 21.. this makes me hopeful for my life now. thank you chris
Its two years later. Any updates?
Damn right. Late bloomers turns out to machine drummer.

One of the best metal drummers ever and seems proper down to earth

He loves drumming more than his wife and kids, badass.
he didn't say that.. he says that drumming gives him creative outlet like nothing other
This is Brad Pitt's long lost cousin Brad Moshpitt. (Ba Dum Tss) But seriously, it's amazing that he didn't get his first drum kit until the age of 21, and he's that good! So inspirational!
HAHAHAHA!! Fuck. Really lost a tear there.
Well adults are more attentive than kids. They're benefits in playing later than when your young.
totally agree! look at this Brad Moshpitt with long hair! ua-cam.com/video/h8OBQxCYlrY/v-deo.html
Dude. Fucking hilarial
Adler's the man
he is the only one that appreciates his fans i waited outside 15 degrees outside and chris came out and said hi and i was able to get a pic. but he is so about the fans thank you chris and thank you for being in tune with your fans! and i will continue to be a fan because i got to meet my favorite drummer thank you SIR!!!!!
You make it sound like 15 degrees is cold
+JoRdOguitarman1 That's cold enough if you were to wait for somebody outdoors for hours. Cmon be a good sport...somebody's telling a story
That’s why this man is a god in the drumming world!
I don't know why people don't like him....He is a solid drummer in my opinion! And seems like a really cool guy! Rock on Chris!
People don't like him?
@Evan stewart where u get ur info?
people don't like him? wake up from ur nightmare i haven't hear not ones of him not be liked...
1oght7 look at his solo stuff, alot of hate going on, I personally love his playing!
Evan stewart never heard of anyone hating him. Hes not "solid" either he's a beast...
He's a very cool guy. Down to earth, humble, nice, funny, and just cool as fuck
Guitar Center makes awesome interviews! :)
Chris is a true inspiration to me. Can't wait to see the new documentary.
This inspired me. I'm gonna cover The faded line on drums now! one of his best works on the drums.
Wow, that was the most inspiring thing I've seen in a while
This applies to many in the world...outlet = relief, relief = calm, calm = peqce and healthy living

Cool to hear! My grandpa gave me my first drum set on Christmas Eve when I was 9. I’m now 19.

Awesome drummer
Amazing drummer. Love LoG!
Yeah Chris Adler!
he's right. to see people headbang, moshing, or even give their horn signal, is really special to performer. i'll be honest i hate long ass practice session, long ass drive, or even recording a riff over and over again. but to see people come to together in front of you, thats special.
Such a cool ass dude, all the best to him and his family!
Wrachchild America is such an awesome band
Indeed they are/were! Saw and met those guys back in 90-94ish in WA and SAZ. Killer musicians, great songs.

My favorite drummer
Thanks Chris now you're a sanctimonious badass drummer

Going to see LOG in August, I can't fucking wait.
+Ryan Combes Burgettstown
that's how I felt when I hweard him plasy the first time ,, how he describes feeling hearing the drummer he tslaks about
This dude rocks wheather you like it or not. 👍
Seems like such a genuine dude. Can't wait to hear how his talent melds with Megadeth.
This Mapex kit they're trying to sell sounds really great when Chris is playing!
People say he has no feel I think he does have feel and Chris Adler is the China double bass god
Chris Adler is a BadA$$ drummer. I’m a huge fan of your sound man.
Man started when he was 21 and obviously is the best metal drummer of all time!! Imagine if he did start at 13 🤯
Wow, Chris Adler was influenced by Shannon Larkin
I know there's been at least a couple times in his career where he contemplated trimming the beard... but then realized it can't be done. It is him.
+drummessiah The beard is trimmed. I saw him last night w/Megadeth and it's much, much shorter now. He cut off a lot of his hair too, it's like shoulder length now.
less words, more drums!
He had singing lessons for 6 years ? He should do cleans for Lamb Of God.
Kinda like the Rev did.
That would be cool
speaking of Baltimore, when are we gonna see anyone from Clutch at guitar center
Start playing at 21?
But I know now why he's so good, start playing instruments science he was little.
What is the title of the track, playing in the background?
Man...look what he does to Megadeth... true Rock n Roller
Woah, he started at 21!!!
Their first album was released when Randy was 30
Out of curiosity - does any one recognize that tune they are playing at the start of this video ?
I wish they would let us hear what he's playing in the little side shots haha. Probably a fill he'll use on the new LoG album?
Что за песня играет в начале видео?
what song is playing at the beginning of the video
It's nice to see how Chris still gives props to Shannon Larkin from where he is now, maybe even after doing so much more than Shannon.
Are you sure you really know what shannon is up to right now?
Sergio Cepeda Remind me? I'm not sure what we're talking about in particular.
I know Shannon as the drummer for Godsmack.
Not only that, but there is a reason why adler mentions him...never thought that they had anything in common
Somebody have the background track? Please, omfg
What's the music running in the background?
must suck playing the same song on a tour for two years. he is an awesome drummer.
Does anybody know what the opening song is called?
WHAT SONG IS THAT AT THE BEGGINING, and playing in the background?
I was thinking that too
I haven't listened to it but it might be one of the songs of the protest the hero album he did drums on. Im just guessing.
Depard - Still Something
This guy is a world class musician. he plays all kinds of instruments. And he seems really nice and down to earth. hey check out my music channel! Thanks so much! Peace!
shannon larkin inspired him to be a drummer? ..that's awesome! \\m//
I know right Shannon from Godsmack is awesome and Lamb Of God is fucking badass!!!
what was the song in the beginning?
Heavy metal Jesus
Totally agree! I daydream when I drum. It's weird!
What's the song in the beggining
Did he say Shannon Larkin?
Yup. The same one from Godsmack.
+Eddie Espinoza And Ugly kid Joe
What song is that in the beginning?
Depard - Still Something
Thank you!
Hammerjacks, those were the days
More than talking guitar center could show Chris playing in mapex kit everyone hoped this I swear those who came here first time......
Shannon Larkin is good, but Chris is ahead of him now!
I see he goes for the Louis de Ponte du Lac look nowadays. Kind of a nice change.

intro song?
Depard - Still Something
He has good hair genes!
anyone else wonder what he looks like with short hair and no beard?
+Zack Baker Drum Channel I don't want to
I met this guy once when I went to Kansas City for business. he looked just like Chris Adler but with short hair and a regular goatee. I told him if he had long hair and a long beard, he would look like Chris Adler. he said "you mean like this?" he pulled out his drivers license and I swear it was Chris. carbon copy.. no joke
Yea just sit down on a drum kit and don't play it...
