Over the years I have played a wide variety of cymbals including , sabian, zildjian, dream cymbals, and etc. Until one day i ordered in my Meinl Mb 20 heavy crash series. By far the best sounding cymbal I have ever played in my entire life of playing drums. I'm now switching over to Meinl completely . The prices on the cymbals are very expensive, but the durability of the cymbals are great and will last forever. The Mb 20 I just bought was over $400.00 dollars , but it sounds like a million. I highly recommend Meinl to any players out there.
+MR.CodyGittss MB20 are great for drummers looking for brilliance and power. Byzance has a touch of mellow and complexity that also goes toe-to-toe with other brands in this category.
Alright the keys to being an amazing drummer are to practice constantly to improve your skills and feel like you are taking a relaxing dump in your grandmother's bathroom. Thanks Chris
I like Chris, but he’s on record saying you can attach a trick pro-1v pedal to a bass drum and throw it across the room and it won’t come off. I own one- you can simply push the bass drum off with little effort. I had to make a metal plate to ensure the pedal stays attached. On the other hand, they are probably the smoothest peaks in the world.
@darkster67 awks for zildjian... i prefer the overall sound of Meinl though. over each kind of cymbal they sound great, sabian are great for hats and crashes, but terrible for china's zildjian are good for chinas and crashes, but hats and rides arent as amazing paiste... i really dont like... meinl are pretty tops across EVERYTHING!

What's the successor line to mb20 now that they are discontinued?
The other cymbal company he's talking about is Zildjian lol
he left aquarian and now he is with evans
And then he left Evans and now he is with Home Depot.

Is aquarium better than remo??? And I always wonder how much tension Chris has on his bass pedal springs

Cheers bro!
Well I own only one meinl cymbal :S and a shitty ride... but if i had the money, all cymbals would be meinl, best sounding stuff around!
@lambofwrath95
i would meinls chinas are fairly subpar, only a few of them are good like the big mb20's and byzance
@mikek
Aquarian has always sounded better raw, and even better in a mix, than any other skin company.
Cool story about Meinl. But then again, they are a German company. what do you expect
