I wore fresh cream warm cashmere yesterday and my 11 year old daughter kept hugging me and telling me i smelled like our favorite ice cream shop and waffle cones. I will take that as a WIN! I don’t know the last time that kid voluntarily hugged me 🤣🤣
Does the scent last on you? I love the way it smells, but I swear mine fades to nothing within 30 minutes...even layering it.
omg Fancy was one of my first blind buys! and it really cemented my obsession for sweet gourmands. since then I'm always on the quest to smell like a dessert :)
I used to blind buy perfumes a lot when I was really into perfume oils, since the bottles are smaller and much cheaper. Now that I almost exclusively wear alcohol-based (and mostly niche) perfume, I'm definitely not taking the plunge on a blind buy!
I buy most of my perfumes blind. Top faves that I’ve blind bought so far: Tom ford Tobacco Vanille, Tokyo Milk Tainted Love (usually I layer it with Tobacco Vanille), Nest Wild Poppy and Indigo, and L’Occitane Herbae - herby and citrusy and oh so good for summer.
Idk if I could ever buy a perfume without smelling it!!! But I guess if you know what scrnt notes you like it makes it easier
All of mine are blind buys as well! Of the 50 or so I've blind bought, the only ones that didn't work out for me were Mugler Angel Muse and Burberry My Burberry Black. Not a bad track record@

so excited to watch! I got into perfumes this year and blind bought a lot of full bottles... I know it's bad but I actually didn't end up with too many duds! I'm moving to a bigger city next year where it'll be much easier to access testers in-store, so my blind buying days are over hehe

I got heavy into perfumes this year so I love scent Sunday! Your descriptions are awesome. I laughed imagining a peach floating past your nose. My favorite blind buys have been Fancy and Vanilla Sky but those are safe for me because I love vanilla
Philosykos is one of my top 3 - I also love fig scents. I just picked up D.S. & Durga’s Debaser which is pretty similar but with a little more depth/complexity and is really nice.
I love fig too! If you like a greener fig I recommend The Zoo's Fig My Love-so good.
I need to try Sunny Side Up now because one of my favorite perfumes of life is Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume I looove it so much. The notes on that one sound incredible and I can’t wait to try it! Along with Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere I can’t wait!!

Yay! I’ve been so into perfumes this year so I’ve been so loving these Sunday videos! I finally got a Skylar tester set and fell in love immediately with Vanilla Sky as I knew I would! I also enjoyed the other scents a good deal, I can’t say there was one true dud. I have an Ellis Brooklyn roller ball set on it’s way to me because I almost blind bought two fragrances (sweet and bee) so I thought the set was a good compromise lol

I feel like you’d like Solstice Scents if you don’t already. Their descriptions and notes take you into a story, it’s so fun. Witch’s Cottage is a personal favorite
Have you tried paco robanne Olympea? It's my favorite and I think you might like it.
I’ve never met a Guerlain fragrance I didn’t like, but they are usually too expensive for me to blind buy. I did get one of the Shalimar flankers - Soufflé de Lumiere - without smelling it first, but it was a pretty good deal.
Mon Guerlain is one of my all time favs! 🥰
Philosykos is my daily wear, it's so green and plant like, it's gorgeous. I love Grass by Lush which is just intensely green and earthy, but I've had all sorts of mixed reactions to it! You should look into BPAL fragrances, they do some really interesting scents.
Check your TJMaxx. I pick up the set of the Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere perfume & body wash set for under $30 every year around this time. That is such a great, warm vanilla scent. Love that the cashmere keeps it out of the fake sugar cookie scent realm.

Yours is one of the only videos I’ve seen in which Fancy is mentioned! I love Fancy Love. It smells nothing like my typical fragrances. I hugged a friend, told her she smelled great, and she bought me Fancy Love as a gift! So nice of her. I don’t know that I would have bought it for myself since it’s not typically my jam, but I love it and whenever I wear it I get compliments. Give it a shot if you’re looking for another blind buy!

I saw a bunch of bottles of Sunny Side Up discounted at Winners the other day and now I'm kinda thinking I should go back and get one... I blind bought MMMM and didn't like it that much at first but it really grew on me, so I would like to try other JHAG fragrances

I blind bought two fragrances and both were complete fails. After that I said never again. I buy travel sized and if I absolutely love it, I buy a full bottle 🥰

I blind bought Fresh Cream warm cashmere & I didn’t like it at first, but it’s growing on me. I will pick up Vanilla Woods or Kayali’s vanilla over it though because to my nose, it’s pure vanilla. I also blind bought Alien Goddess & I love it. I just bought the big bottle. It has the same vanilla gourmand qualities of Fresh Cream but is so much more sultry & complex & something else. I love it.
I think you would probably like Daisy Love Spring. It has some Daisy DNA, but it is also a fig scent. I really like it and it was in the running for my top 10 fragrance purchases this year. That's saying something too since I don't know how many perfumes I purchased!
Also, I saw Sunny Side Up at TJ Maxx and Marshall's earlier this year. I would have picked it up to review, but it wasn't in the budget when I saw it.
Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere is my current go to scent. I'm picky with scents and really enjoy this. I generally don't like coconut but it's so faint that I don't mind. My only gripe with it is lasting power. It barely lasts longer than an hour on me. The last perfume to really surprise me with how much I liked it was Lancome Idole. It smells like the perfect spring-summer scent to me.

I’ve had a lot of hits from KKW Fragrance; both Body II and Body III, Wifey (Candy Hearts), Gold (Metallic Hearts), etc. I’m also a big fan of Victoria’s Secret fragrances. Their new Cloud Tease was a blind buy and I love it!

I recently blind bought Fiele Fragrances Mentha because I was looking for a beautiful mint perfume, and I love it!!! now I want more!! and I’ve been so enamored with my Le Labo The Matcha (not a blind buy, I did get a sample of that one) that now I want ALL the fig scents. looking at Philosykos and DS Durga Debaser. oh, and I just got the Margiela matcha scent in a travel spray, but haven’t used it yet. love your weekly perfume vids!!! 💜
I got recommended This Is Her in store when I asked for something similar to Lancôme's La Nuit Trésor but more wearable in daytime and springtime and truly? Zero regrets. I ended up spending more than planned bc they only had full-size but it's honestly so versatile. I didn't even know it was so popular on here, I mostly saw very polarised reviews on blogs and such

Have you ever heard of Fragonard? They are a French perfume house with an American warehouse and catalogs with samples. Excellent ingredients and i believe most of them avoid synthetics which is awesome for us sensitive skin perfume lovers. They are listed on perfumania for their olfactory pyramids and they have a nice sample set of women's scents and men's as well. My husband and my son won't wear anything else. Happy scent hunting!

Sucreabeille is one of my favorite perfume houses. I love Three Eyed Raven- think tootsie pop, Out West- palo santo , Sansa- lemon buttercream, Khaleesi- spicy citrus, Hello Boys- Mexican Hot Chocolate, Goth AF- Incense and old cathedral, Bloodline- dark pomegranate. There is also this perfume house on Etsy that makes gooseberry and lilac perfume ( the scent of a sorceress- Yennifer's scent from the Witcher. That perfume house is Bella Des. Also Byredo's Mojave Ghost is definitely in my top 5
I blind-bought Dossier's Citrus Tea (based on Le Labo Tė Noir) because I love tea and it seemed like it would work for me (I also enjoy musk and stay away from patchouli). It's great. It's like a nice green cedar scent with a bit of sweetness, and makes me feel like I'm in a cabin surrounded by pine trees. That and Replica By the Fireplace have been my fall scents, because I love the cabin aesthetic.
Lauren do you listen to the Smell Ya Later podcast? They deep-dive into/interview some of the perfume houses you mentioned and i have learned so much listening to them! I definitely have to look into the zadig&voltaire scent because that sounds right up my alley

I am obsessed with Sunny Side Up. It is me in a bottle 😂 I love Diptyque but for some reason my skin eats the scent. This is her is a masterpiece but like Commodity Milk expressive it can be polarizing so it’s definitely for going outside, parties or shopping…etc. Not for my home my family hates the chestnut note.

I bought Narciso Rodrigues- “Rouge” - as a blind buy from Nordstrom Rack app and it came today and I’m really satisfied. It’s so French somehow, 😂, heavy and mature but also flirty and provocative. I’ll take most perfume with the Orris note. Lauren, have you smelled “Lipstick Fever” by Juliet Has a Gun? I just bought the full size as I used up the travel size to the last drop… it’s one of a kind, also iris note and violet+raspberry. I’m gonna use your advice and try a small size Sunny side up. I’d also be curious to hear what you think of brand new scent from JHAG “Lili Fantasy”?

Ok I don’t understand what’s wrong with my nose but literally after the dry down, all I smell after the dry down of fancy is powdery!
I wish I could wear perfumes 😭 I used to have a decent collection but as I’ve gotten older I can no longer tolerate a lot of scents.. I get headaches even from the tiniest spray. I ended up giving all mine away 😔
Have you tried the original Juliette Has a Gun and I’d so what do you think about it?? I tried it at Sephora and I *think* I love it which when I feel like I like and almost don’t like a perfume at the same time that’s usually means I love it lol. It’s pricey so I might pick up the small skinny bottle to test it out
I hated it at first spray but later that day I was addicted to the dry down. If I put on my jacket after while I’m like ohhhhhhhh 🤩 now I love it.

I’m into YSL Libre. My husband almost knocked me over, nuzzled my neck, and said I smell like a real woman. He added that if it’s good enough for Dua Lipa, it’s good enough for him!🤣
I’ve been burned by all my blind buys other than one. I blind bought cloud and I hate it 😭😭😭 it smells like metal and plastic to me which just makes no sense considering the notes. My only successful blind buy was Ellis Brooklyn Bee which I adore.

Blind bought Juliet has a gun Pear Inc earlier this fall and just ordered Moscow Mule from them as well. Definitely agree with you on certain perfume houses just being a good fit as that's the house for me. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of coconut or vanilla so Sunnyside Up probably wouldn't be for me :(
My best blind buys: Nest Black Tulip, Tom Ford Black Orchid (do you see a theme lol), Ariana Grande Cloud (thanks to you!), Kayali Pink Pepper, Kayali Utopia, Kilian Paris Love, Don't Be Shy (it smells like a rootbeer float to me, delicious). I'm sure I'll think of something else, but by far Nest Black Tulip is my one true "if I were a scent". I think Nest can do no wrong, honestly. The few times I've gotten a scent I didn't vibe with, they gift WELL. Also Marc Jacobs Honey and Dot, but those are older.
Hi Lauren, Have been around since quite awhile, and I do love most of your video ideas! However I think I'll give this series (perfume related stuff) a miss from now on. I've been into notes, accords, extraction processes, noses and perfume house history (niche/indie/designer and vintage) since 2011 and i guess the best way i can say this is, that this does indeed feel too amatuer to me. I personally dont feel like I am learning anything new here. On the otherhand, I'll wait for some of your non-perfume uploads and I hope you find joy through your fragrance journey :) Just a constructive criticism here - try to sketch an imagery for us, an olfactory imagery when you describe a perfume. "This smells so good" pretty much means nothing as scent is just as subjective a colour theory or makeup (I'll strongly propose that it's more subjective). Like if you are trying to describe ebony fume, maybe tell us how it's like a layer of burnt sweet sticky substance stuck to a not stick pan, that is taking in heat from a pile of woods burning beneath. (That's how it smells on me). That'll help the viewer, in this case , me, understand if that imagery is a good scent for me or not. Also, the same perfume (let's say xerjoff italica), a bottle i own, smells different on each of us in the household - goes stale milk bread on me, goes light biscuit on my partner, goes just lactonic on the mom and doesn't smell like anything much at all on the dad. Reviews are still helpful cause of course, at least it gives us a direction of thought before lookin further into the perfume.
I used to buy my perfumes blind and Flower by Kenzo L'Elixir is so far one of my best blind buys. Givenchy l'interdit rouge is a new perfume I would suggest you to try because it seems like you don't like patchouli but I swear in that perfume it is different! That Givenchy one and Max Joacim's Possessed are my favourite fragrances and they both have patchouli which I am not normally a fan of. So weird!!

Ooh I’m def looking into that malin goetz strawberry fragrance! I love strawberry, and I’m so here for the green and lactonic notes! I also love pretty much all the Marc Jacobs fragrances, I love wearing Perfect to bed ☺️
Also! TJ Maxx/Marshall’s pretty much always the philosophy body washes, sometimes even in the huge sizes ;)
