This will absolutely replace my Steam Deck for DS, 3DS, and in the future, Wii U. Holy shit, this is so cool.
The only crappy thing about DS emulation on Windows and no secondary screen option. I know there's ways but not legit however WiiU YES, 3DS definitely yes I was playing on my Ally after I posted this lol. I can't wait until I share the end results with multiple devices.
@@DNAMobileGaming 3DS will be especially good because Citra performance on Steam Deck is dogshit for me for some reason. I guess I could try the PabloMK7 fork until then.
The Rog Ally and Linux on the Odin 2 runs quite well I know you asked me this too. I'm still working on the Linux stuff for the Odin 2 as well.
@@DNAMobileGaming I see. I may have to try installing Linux at some point. I hope Cemu will get a Linux ARM port alongside their Android one. Would make the Odin2 pretty much perfect.

200ish is to expensive tbh, would love to see if down the road is possible to get a cheaper/lite version of it that can land into the 100-150 max
Maybe lower resolution, smaller, still 3D printed or whatever may be needed.
Well once you see what it is 200 CAD will seem too cheap in my mind. Also that is a rough idea price but might still be the final cost because of what it can do 😁

We've been really looking into the tiers and this is a great idea. I'm sourcing out a Steam Deck this weekend as it works really well on two of my Windows devices and should work just as well on the Deck. Once the other samples come in the promo videos and shells will be put together for filming.

Wow, I would love that. I nearly bought a Ayaneo flip device just to have a bigger dual screen device. I’d much rather have a screen attach to devices I already own.
That's the concept as this will attach to nearly anything! Buy a Steam Deck YUP, buy an Ally YUP, buy a Retroid 4 Pro YUP just have a PC and want a mini display YUP. Did I say too much probably 😎

This looks great! As long as the reviews say the screen quality is alright; this feels like it was made for me. I would even be interested in a more expensive version if it means a higher quality screen.
The screen resolution looks better than the Odin 2 I know it looks off in the teaser I'm pretty sure I changed the settings to standard with low backlight and brightness. It has the ability however to set the screen however you'd like.

I was actually pretty interested until you said $200...
I mean it's def a great idea, but you can plug an HDMI to USB-C cable into a monitor and get the same effect for far less money, the only thing you'd miss is the convenience of portability. Maybe like another commenter said, around $100-125 would be a solid deal, especially for an add-on to what are already pretty pricey devices, but that's just me.
Nah you're missing the entire concept entirely also that's CAD also a simple HDMI to USB C cable won't work as you'd still need power to that said monitor which you don't need any extra power for this. Once you all see what this does and can do you may think $200 CAD is too cheap because good luck finding something that is portable, one of a kind, and universal like this to attach to not just mobile handhelds but other devices like monitors, tablets, desktops heck even use it inside your car attached to your phone 😎
@@DNAMobileGaming Is it not being powered by the console? Also most people like, own monitors between PCs, TVs, their phones if they accept HDMI signal. It's a dope idea in concept, but there's gotta be more to it than just "another monitor", yk?
@q-boyo0523 USB to HDMI doesn't support power by the console no. But the DNA Duo can be played anywhere you want to play it. I was stating the facts about how you said a simple HDMI to USB-C cable into a monitor would work however that monitor still needs to be plugged into a wall.

It's very cool. Very curious about the other features? May could've been good to hold off mentioning tentative price until you reveal all it can do though. But will try and hold off judgement until there's an actual full reveal
I want the DNA Duo to be reasonably priced however once everyone sees everything I'm going to showcase about it, then I think the price will fall into place. The coolest aspects I have not shared yet and I'm still waiting for a good OLED screen as well 😀. This is a beautiful 7 inch 1920x1080 HD display however.

if the panel get a bit brighter and the battery life isnt impacted too bad then this would be a winner, also if the screen coould fold down fully to clam sehll... take my money...
Did you watch to the end? Also the settings of the screen can be changed to whatever your hearts desire.

might consider it if you don't have to plug it in the wall outlet.
It doesn't need to be plugged into anything but the device that powers it and the Odin 2/Rog Ally are two devices that handle the power consumption quite well too.
actually excited here.. been using the dual screen case for lg for so long but kinda sucks for 3ds.. pls also try consider making an app to make it work for citra.. lg has a wide mode by yutaka tsumori
I've actually been looking into the source code of Lime3DS to allow for what is called Media Projection. Drastic uses Media Projection to render the second screen. The only other way to play 3DS on the Odin 2 right now this way is to dual boot Linux I've tried and it runs quite well.
How about winlator.. sounds wierd but could be viable just dont know how well it runs.. but ive seen vids here in yt runing cemu thru winlator on atleast 855 865 chipsets 😁

Oh man the Steam Deck, Rog, my AyaNeo Next Lite are the 3 main devices I'm showcasing for this. I love it for my Odin 2 but it fits so much better with bigger handhelds. I can't wait to see the AyaNeo Evo.
@@DNAMobileGaming looking forward to seeing it match up on other devices. Right now I'm using an android tablet, holder, 3D printed clamp, and various cables, and hub. Ready for something more stream lined. I'll keep an eye out for when orders open.

What would you need a battery for? The screen is powered by the Odin 2 and with that huge 8000mAh battery I haven't had any crazy consumption issues with the second screen attached 😳

Really cool, but perhaps you should work a little on the resolution and the colors which in my opinion are a little too dull and dark, compared to the main display and it gives a somewhat dirty and disharmonious impression. But I'm sure you'll be able to fix it. Anyway, really great work! keep it up man!
You can change the specs in the menu of the screen itself I think I had it set to standard with low backlight and 30% brightness. When I release the promo video I'll show the screens true worth as it's a nicer screen than the Odin 2 imo.
Double checked this morning and I had the resolution and other settings turned down in the video idk why but I just reset it and turned down the brightness and it looks clean now 😅

Ha yeah I know, I heard about cemu coming to Android which even if I could play a dozen games on my device that would be sweet. This will serve its purpose really soon with 3 major emulators. I actually love using it as my main display for my Odin 2 while in bed too so my head doesn't have to be cranked while laying on my pillow 🙃

It sure does close all the way doesn't touch the joysticks at all either. Mind you it's not flat like a DS on the Odin however the Steam Deck/Rog Ally it looks amazing with.

I think they only way this would work with that crazy device is with a universal clip which is a thing I just haven't share anything other than the Odin 2 mostly with this so far.

Would it be possible for you to release this in a smaller form factor for popular emulation handhelds such as the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro?
It actually looks and feels so much better on my Retroid 4 Pro and the Anbernic RG556 🤯 idk why but I think it's because those devices are smaller form factors the screen really fits nicely in this size

Yes I have and the plan was for a 5-5.5 inch OLED but the company sent me the wrong screen so I'm hoping the company I've been dealing with will deliver what I need as their current screen looks really amazing.

$150 is a lil crazy maybe like 100 or something but paying 150 and on top of that I imagine there's shipping and taxes so around 180-200 USD depending on where you are in the world on top of the price of the device which for a good ds emulation device which is like at LEAST 120 and sometimes even 200. so looking at around 320-350 for something that's only useful for ds emulation? in my opinion, not worth it. Just buy a 3ds for around 150-200 (the price of this add on) and install homebrew ds games. just my thoughts but keep going on this thing we could all be wrong!
