I absolutely fell in love with this game! I just find it so relaxing, farming, working, hunting and learning to manage my land through the seasons.

Yeah, you and me both man. It's just so calm and peaceful, even when being hunted by a pack of wolves you feel the strange calm of the atmosphere.
@@TRVVPER not to mention being able to afford this year's taxes. And my clueless villagers going thirsty when there's a river and a well about three metres away.
I hope you make more videos for this game. I just picked it up. I've subscribed as I really like your quick & concise way of explaining. You get right to the point and don't beat around the bush. Bro, BROOOO, I've been ploughing the seeds after I lay them down. I thought you had to shove them in the ground. And here I am waiting for them to grow. I wasted so much time and seeds/money.

Just picked up this game as it's on gamepass for console. I love it so far. Just put it in what I call sandbox mode for a bit so I can practice. No carry weight limit low taxes no eating or drinking requirements though I do it anyway just to get the feel for things. I love it
One tip I have is build a small field first to get an idea of which way these squares orient themselves. It makes it easier building a visually pleasing town later haha.

3:00 - huh, I bought a bag from one of the merchants in that village for 25 coins. I guess they lowered the price.
A very nice and straight forward description of farming. Thank you. BTW, you can also get hoes from any settlement around the camp fire for no charge.

Just as an FYI the scythe is a 2 handed tool and the sickle is a 1 handed tool - they are similar but not close to the same.
There should give you a way to move buildings after you build them. And 2:39 why wouldnt you just head straight from the well on your right and make the left instead of going all the way around 😂
The sickle have such a short life span I just craft them … 4 stones and sticks ..

Only just got this game today after having it on my wishlist since early access release. This guide is really concise, clear and to the point! At no point did I feel there was a stall for time. Hope you do make more on MD in the future!

As farming is the only 'work' that needs the NPC to physically visit the field to hoe/fertilise/harvest, etc, does adding fences around each field not cause problems ? I've not done it myself, but you might find it makes the workers less efficient if they have to find paths around your fenced off fields. This isn't a problem for any other profession as the NPC workers, despite visually appearing by their workstations, always work a full 10-hours every day despite how far they might have to walk to get there.

I can't plant fertilizer cause it tells me i need seed and i can't plant seed cause the ground is "unsown"
Sounds like you have added fertiliser. So you now need to Hoe the ground, then you can place seeds :)
Hi just got this game, have you got to do the quests to be able to progress through. Not keen on them to be honest but love the game.

its not bad.. u bought 4 pack of wheat grain for 60$ and have now have 25 wheat to sell at 10 wich makes you 250$ so a profit of 190$ for that little square of farm

I came to the video because it didn't let me put fertilizer, it just says unsown, I thought I missed a step but no, help?
After harvesting do I need to fertilise the field again or can I straight plant again?
After each harvest the field needs to be hoed and fertilised again yes :)
Have they fixed the placement of farming tiles? Like they have to be placed on cardinals
i always try to go way to fast in this game i dont know why i get stuck after only a couple yrs were things are out of control and i give up. i really need to slow down.

This game frustrated me far too much, and far too quickly to enjoy is. It needs to explain more. Having to look up UA-cam guides is not a sign of good game design. The main thing that kills it for me is trying to hunt anything bigger than a rabbit. Rabbits barely give any meat. You don't know any recipes to get more hunger. For some reason, your character has a complete parkinson's attack when trying to aim a WOODEN spear, so you can't hit anything, especially when the spear only goes 5 feet.
