Thanks Colin, another great one! I've been trying to beat Klaw expert using the Under Attack side scheme with She-Hulk and Spider-Man. No luck so far. Tried Aggression & Leadership respectively, then Justice & Protection. That last combination took forever but ultimately still lost. Trying Justice & Aggression tomorrow.
I love that this game is so fun that I don't mind replaying when I lose over and over. :)
Oh nice!! Good luck!! I have found that Klaw on expert is a solid challenge, it starts out pretty hard with those 2 side schemes and a minion! Good luck with Justice and Aggression!!
@@OneStopCoopShop Justice & Aggression worked, just barely. Definitely challenging with the Under Attack scheme because there are so few minions. With Klaw's scheme causing discard til you find a minion, you mill through the encounter deck and accumulate acceleration tokens quickly.
Great job keeping that threat under control.
I usually don't include cards like Haymaker (their cost to effect ratio seems poor) but in decks that want so much energy resources, they're a great fit.
Justice really helps and giving Iron Man 3 Thwart makes him a thwarting fiend! I agree haymaker is not a great card, but you gotta love those energy resources! :) I have to ask David - how does this align for you, do you like it more than Arkham Horror LCG, or not so much?
@@OneStopCoopShop They supplement each other very well. I still love the continuity in Arkham, but for standalone, self-contained, faster to set up and play, Marvel Champions is great.

10:30 that might be wrong. You first draw the two boost cards then an encounter card. So assault would be an additional separate* attack, that’s if it came out in that order in the deck.
I just finished beating Klaw expert with Black Panther, it was madness!

Thanks for sharing. Well played. MC:LCG is my fav game right now. IMHO, the 2 heroes you used and Spiderman are the most enjoyable to use in a MC:LCG game at this time. Capt Marvel may be the most balanced hero in the core set. And, Ironman is a slow starter, but becomes a beast after he gets his upgrades.

My least favorite was BP until I tried him with Leadership, he is now singing with many allies and powerful turns even without Wakanda Forever. Have you tried the new heroes yet? I will have a video tomorrow with Ms Marvel and Captain America!
@@OneStopCoopShop I've played with all 5 herores in the core set. BP is my least fav too, because I thought him too dependent on the WF card. I enjoyed She-Hulk. Used Capt Marvel last and was pleasantly surprised.
Will try BP with Leadership. Course, I think Capt America(CA) is Leadership focused too, so he may be the Leadership fav. Have CA on the way, excited to play him.
The new leadership cards in CA deck are awesome, you will see them in the playthrough tomorrow. They help BP as well. I find She-Hulk to be fun with all of her swapping between alter-ego and hero form. So far though I still think my favorite is Captain Marvel!

Hey Mike! No probably not, it was a great trip just my wife and I. Although I got very sick at the end, it was fun to have some time with my wife, as we are expecting our third child in March! So this was our last trip together before that happens :)

I'm going to try expert Ultron over the holidays, at least til Goblin, Cap and Ms. Marvel arrive. Do you know what heroes/aspects you are going to use? Which side scheme? It might be fun to "play along at home", in a sense. :)
Awesome idea! I already recorded the playthrough should be posted tomorrow along with Risky Business scenario. I used Black Panther Leadership, and Spiderman Justice, with the Electro encounter set. That set is from the Green Goblin pack though so you might not be able to do that. Good luck though!! :)

I beat Klaw (normal) with 2 heroes after a few tries - Cap and Ms. Marvel. Guy ain't no pushover

I am pretty sure you didn't have to start with the Immortal Klaws Side scheme...Klaw II says "when revealed". You did not reveal him after Klaw I...Just like you did not surge when you put into play the Minion Runner. I used to play Klaw like that too..Its extra difficult, and i do it some times if i play justice :D

22:57 - Am I right in saying the updated 1.4 ruling is that 'You' wouldn't be able to use interrogation room? I'm still a tad confused about it all...
I wish I knew I ended up selling mine so not sure on the update rules. You was a poor choice of words if you ask me! I'd suggest asking on BGG!

I just felt like I have enough lcg with arkham and LOTR and this one had the least story aspect. I also for whatever reason felt like it was way more token pushing than the other 2 lcgs!

At the beginning you used Cpt Marvel's alter-ego ability then you flipped to hero then used it again to thwart. Shouldn't it be exhausted when you used alter-ego side? Great playthrough! :)

When you reveal the boost cards for the villain when he attacks, and one of those cards say “boost” on it, you activate the ability?? I thought the point of those cards he gets to boost his attack was just to boost his attack. By the amount of the symbols in the bottom right. ?
Generally you are correct but some cards have boost effects. Those effects only happen when the card is flipped as a boost card. Very similar to shadow cards from LOTR LCG

I tried Klaw expert today with spidey justice and black panther protection.... I struggled, went through the villain deck almost three times. I think I need some advice XD or general tips, lost in the end :(
Klaw I think is harder than Ultron at expert. I would say get card draw down early. I have 2 avengers mansions in each deck. Also prioritize keeping him on scheme 1 as long as you can. The 2 boosts cards makes him run through the encounter deck for sure. Get some allies down and use them to chump block. And stun is your friend!! Those webbed up should stop him for 2 turns in solo!! Good luck!!
I done Black Panther with Klaw expert, I’d say use your allies as a shield; Klaw can hit really heavy and also try to avoid going to alter ego form; Lots of scheme will be placed if you’re unlucky. Depending on what extra villain cards you use, try to use your thwart to get rid of the side schemes, if you don’t, you’re either going to increase more problems, or have a bunch of scheme added on.
I dont think you can spend wild for Vision ability.
Why not it is a resource cost.
