I thought you were nuts on playing those upgrades in the beginning of the game. But then I saw how they helped you throughout the game and that blew my mind! You Sir. blew my mind with Dr. Strange. Tks!
Loving Dr. Strange. The constant status cards he can churn out is amazing. It’s especially helpful against Ultron to consistently avoid drawing drones.
After several months with no new content in the US, Black Widow and Dr. Strange were worth the wait! I probably put Mockingbird in every deck I make. Putting a "Stunned" status on an enemy is just awesome. And Tigra vs a villain with low health minions ... she can stay in play most of the game! :)
Hi Dale, great video as usual. Quick question, what card sleeves do you use? I use penny sleeves for Marvel Legendary but due to lots of shuffling they get ruined quickly. I like yours.
@Kindcentrum de Rots Thanks for watching! They are uberstax and can be purchased at Uberstax.com . I also did a video highlighting them if you'd like to learn more ... ua-cam.com/video/HBNRANBuKS4/v-deo.html
Great playthrough Dave. I've only just gotten in to the game and glad Strange was the first character pack I bought. He is great fun. Not moved on from the Protection he comes with but I definitely did take out a few cards to get Nick and Helicarrier in there. No-brainers
@@DaletheCasualGamer all that power and yes absolutely, it is nice to not feel restricted. Next I have Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver to try out next. Thanks!
Great game play! I am wondering if Marvel Champions is your favorite game to play this year? Also wondering if Doctor Strange is your new favorite hero?
@Mr. A Lee I feel safe in saying that Marvel Champions is my #1 game at this point, with Aeons End at #2. :) Doctor Strange is fun to play for sure! In my opinion, probably the strongest hero we have at this point. With no new stuff for several months, Black Widow and Dr. Strange are going to be getting all the plays at this point. Before these two, Captain America was my go to hero. How about yourself?
@@DaletheCasualGamer I knew you had more pep in your voice when you played Marvel Champions! Just my biased ears I suppose :D . During this pandemic this game has been the greatest blessing. I watched your videos and other youtubers greatly influenced me in buying this game in March 2020. It has been a total joy to wind down and play an analog game instead of playing digital. My favorite Marvel hero is Cap and his deck is still my favorite. I guess my go to hero's at the moment is Cap/Lead, Ironman/Justice, and Doc Strange. I haven't tried Doc Strange Aggression but the way you played Aggression looks fun. Looking forward to more videos from you and totally excited for this Thursday's reveal from FFG. Have a great week!
This pandemic has got me doing a lot more solo games! And like you, this game is a great way to just wind down for the day. I guess I'm a bit aggressive ... 'cause I typically play Captain America with Aggression, but I do like Iron Man with Justice (or Protection). I'm anxious to see where FFG goes after the big box expansion. Will they stay with Avengers, or break into the X-Men? Very excited to see what comes next! :)
Great game! I picked up my Strange pack today. Can’t wait to try it out this weekend! I also bought some Uberstax based on your review and I love them!
@Blaine long. I’ve made the switch to DragonShields clear matte sleeves after using Fantasy Flight Sleeves for about a decade. They are a bit pricey, but top quality.
Love your play throughs. I don’t think Immortal Klaw should have come out in Set up. Appendix Set up step 11 states “when revealed” is only done on “encounter” cards that come into play from main scheme. Also, pg 33 of the RR states “when revealed” only triggers on a NEW villain stages. Not all or the first. Keep rocking!!
@@DaletheCasualGamer Thanks for your response. I may be getting overly semantic, but when I read step 11 of Set up….Then read the definition of “Enters play” on pg 13 of RR…I concluded that the Villain cards don’t meet that definition as they never “transition”. They start in play. Sorry, I used to interpret insurance contracts for a living. Keep up the good work!!
The rules aren’t that great. Its just the way it’s played. Definitions do state villains cards are encounter cards and to resolve when revealed. As a casual gamer, I just play. Hope that helps! :)
Just throwing it out there - but I don't think the Sorcerer Supreme basic card has a max 1 per hero limit on it. If you were to stack that card and increase his hero form hand size to 7 or 8 Dr. Strange would be a powerhouse.
Thanks for watching! I had a "tough" time remembering toughness this game. For consistency, it carries over to other games too. I blame the mental trauma of playing Arkahm Horror ... but I guess it could be old age too. ;)
Do you feel like Dr. Strange is way OP compared to other hero’s? Maybe I’m still bitter that Thor isn’t good. I have found some workable options with him but still frustrating. 😝
@Daniel Larimore Dr. Strange's card draw effects does take him up a notch! For solo play (with my play style) I feel he needs aggression to deal with any minions, but for multi-player games I think he'd do well with any aspect. And for Thor ... he may need to team up with Dr. Strange. ;) Happy gaming!!
Recovering your past plays, always a pleasure to see them. Thanks.
I thought you were nuts on playing those upgrades in the beginning of the game. But then I saw how they helped you throughout the game and that blew my mind! You Sir. blew my mind with Dr. Strange. Tks!
Haha! Technically, you are still correct ... I am nuts. ;)
But resource upgrades are good for anybody. :)
Loving Dr. Strange. The constant status cards he can churn out is amazing. It’s especially helpful against Ultron to consistently avoid drawing drones.
Couldn't agree more! I thought Black Widow was awesome ... but I believe Dr. Strange is now the most powerful in the line-up. :)
I personally think Klaw is the hardest villain in the base set as a solo player. It was nice seeing your plays to help me defeat him.
@xtrava24x Solo, definitely! Between his schemes and minions, he's a tough one solo!
Thanks for sharing. Dr Strange looks like a lot of fun!
Nice deck construct. I like Tigra and Mockingbird a lot.

Oh boy Klaw didn't stand a chance. Strange is so powerful! Well played Dale!
Thanks for watching! Dr. Strange's card draw and invocation deck are pretty powerful!
Hi Dale, great video as usual. Quick question, what card sleeves do you use? I use penny sleeves for Marvel Legendary but due to lots of shuffling they get ruined quickly. I like yours.
I’ve been using Fantasy Flight Sleeves, which have recently been discontinued. Now making a switch to DragonShields. Hope that helps!
Dale the Casual Gamer thank you. Hopefully I can get them for a good price as I live in England 🏴
Really like youre vids! Keep up the good work! Question: where do you buy the standards you put youre villians and schemes on?

I wasn't planning on any of them sticking around for long ... but one less health would probably had been a better choice. :)

@Joel Sheingold I like where you're going with this ... but, Sorcerer Supreme is a unique card, so only one can be in play at a time. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Alas, you are correct. I missed that - I should have known they wouldn't have made it that easy for us.
lol. They sure wouldn’t. :)

Thanks for the visit!
Shouldn't You reveal minion at start just using klaw deck and then gather all cards and create encounter deck? Check manual (page 6) 😉
Awesome. I think you forgot the tough card on Klaw when he went to stage 3.
