@@OneStopCoopShop Iron Man is fun occasionally but not a lot of variety in play. My favorite so far is She-Hulk with Justice. Lots of options, and a strong combination.
@@greyhawke115 Cool yeah Iron Man I find super fun for the first 3-4 plays then kinda dull after that. I agree She-Hulk is awesome. Currently my favorite I think is Captain Marvel. Gotta love her card draw!

Awesome game play through Colin ...I have been waiting for a decent Marvel game worthy of its IP for yrs and finally I think FFG may have cracked it ( in my opinion ) ...I have been collecting and playing Arkham Horror LCG which I will end on current cycle so I can focus on this ...and Arkham replaced my LOTR LCG - back in the day I would have collected and played all 3 ...but time and money causes me to be more discerning and frugal now especially as I fund several KS and regularly buy Euros ...can’t have it all ...but I am super stoked to start this one ...my copy arrived today and I am rereading rules, sleeving and punching counters - now all ready to give it ago ...my all in KS Tainted Grail is on the way will be here next week and I know that is going to suck up a huge amount of my gaming time lol...

I like playing with both Captain Marvel and She-Hulk in the game. Captain Marvel is impressive with her card draw abilities, plus thwart and attack for 2. I like to get her helmet on to help with her defense and get her aerial if I can.
I feel like their abilities compliment each other well since She-Hulk is strapped for resources!
I play this with my dad. We finally beat Rhino :D Your video helps us learn. Thank you. :D

Got this a few weeks ago and ive take to it more than lotr. cant be bothered with the potr deck building aspect and find this much more palettable. thats just me tho. great playthrough mate. would defo like to see expert klaw and ultron if u get the time 😁👍

At 48:05 did you forget to add the villain's scheme point from the villain card? 1 from villain card plus 3 boost.
Would have put 14 on the scheme.

Great example of one of my doubts... At 16:17 you revealed the Obligation card - I understand you dont pay attention to txt typically when drawing for boosts, but reading the rules I thought the Obligation card would be an exception, meaning you have to do something about it when revealed... dont you? Thanks
I can confirm if the obligation comes out as a boost, you ignore the text and look at the boost icons! You got lucky this time :)

At around 41:37 you changed from Jennifer to She-Hulk. Then, around 43:44 you changed from She-Hulk back to Jennifer using the Split Personality card. I guess that card allows you to ignore the 1 switch per turn rule?

Colin your thoughts about this vs lotr lcg?
So I talk about them at the end of the video - but in short right now it does not hold a candle to LOTR LCG. But it is a bit unfair to compare the two since LOTR has a plethora of expansions, and I never played just the LOTR core set since I didn't get into board games until 2015.
If you want a game where you immediately feel powerful, this is the game for you. LOTR is much more about building your board state, as 3 resources a round with the resource matching etc. means you play less cards each turn. What I REALLY miss in Marvel though is the progression. I LOVE that I control the quest in LOTR, instead of just preventing schemes in this one. When I am questing it feels "better" than just thwarting. Also means the story moves along, versus it feeling very stagnant in this game so far.
The deckbuilding is SO MUCH BETTER in LOTR as long as you like to customize. If you prefer less deckbuilding then Marvel is for you. I just think of how I can use heroes in different ways in LOTR and that is much more of a challenge in Marvel. Iron Man will always have to look for his suit, Black Panther will always need to look for his panther upgrades etc.
I think each of the 3 different Co-op LCG's fit something different, and that is why I am committed to collecting all 3. LOTR is for hardcore deckbuilders, enjoy crazy combo's and a feel of journey and progression as well as a puzzle. Arkham Horror LCG is all about the story, the RPG feel, and the theme. Marvel is all about tactical fast play, with powerful actions and powerful villains.
Currently I have them ranked as follows, but this will change I am sure as more Marvel comes out: LOTR LCG > Arkham Horror LCG > Marvel Champions.

There was a slight mistake you made with the ally defending; in the rules reference, it says: “When an Ally defends all damage is dealt to the ally.” Therefore, the Hero doesn’t take any damage, even if the attack goes beyond the ally’s hit points.
Hmmm I am pretty sure I never did that unless Overkill was involved. Do you have a time stamp?

Don’t worry though; It had overkill, it just wasn’t visible, due to the cards on top of eachother.

Still not sure about this game. Not that it's possible to get it for a reasonable prize right now in Germany. But I'm really concerned about the difficulty level of this and the complicated interactions of all the cards. You played it like a pro but it seems quite fiddly. And if this is the easiest villain and you came out of this barely alive and the villains plan nearly finished... I don't know of I even want to see the other villains... 🤷♂️
I will say I played at the end VERY aggressive AND I played at the expert level with the 2nd hardest encounter set. So don't let this play mak you think the first guy is too challenging! You can play him at normal which means he is only level 1 and level 2, and an easier encounter set, like Bomb Scare. With that though I will not deny the card interactions are the best part of the game, but they can get overwhelming! Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Around 47:45 you forgot to reduce threat by 1 with Jennifer's ability. Yeah, that's a tough one to remember. I forget it most of the time!
