  • In this episode, I travel on two wheels to Harbour Grace where I explore the history and current status of the SS Kyle. Do ghost ships really exist? Definitely but perhaps not in the way you think. This shipwreck was once an integral part of Newfoundland maritime history from 1913 when she was commissioned until 1967 when she ran aground in Riverhead. Her duties were varied in the half century she travelled the North Atlantic. She was an ice breaker, a troop carrier, a sealing vessel and a transport vessel. In this latter role, she served as a lifeline between Newfoundland and Labrador. Without the SS Kyle and ships like her, the isolation felt by many Newfoundlanders and Labradorians during the early to mid 20th century may have been too much to bare. She served her country (and later her province) well. Also in this video, we find out who won the channel swag and enjoy a coffee on the beach using my MSR stove

Monty, I personally like your current format for the videos. It keeps it fresh and I like the variety. Not knowing what your next video is going to be makes it interesting and not predictable.

Great video my buddy, very informative. That's an awesome stove I've had one like it for years love it, just wish the fuel line to the tank was a little longer lol.
I'd stick with one channel and let people decide which ones they want to watch lol. Have a great week.

Thanks Garry, I saw it in one of your videos which is the reason I asked for it lol. You’re right about the length of the line, a couple inches longer and it woulda be fine.

We enjoy the outdoorsy videos most but like having the extra selection of motorcycle runs at our fingertips. Keep it the way it is, is my vote. Also, RE giveaway… (insert maxwell smart voice here) missed it by that much!

Great video,as for your question at the end, I myself Ride motorcycle on the west coast,so I love to see content from other parts of the island, and of course the bushcraft stuff is also great, just like to add a comment about products you mention, it’s great to see that you buy and review the stuff on your own , not like a lot of the other channels on UA-cam, so keep them coming one or two channels why not just leave it as one. Thanks

Great video. I also visited the SS Kyle last year. I was pressed for time and it was to windy to fly my drone. Will try again this year. One channel works for me but I understand why you might consider two. Have fun with it.

Excellent video there Monty. Always like your videos and music for the intro and outro is very easy listening . Who is the artist?
As for your question to keep the two separate? I would like to see that it shows your love of nature and artistic side but, that's just my opinion.

Thanks Randy especially for your comment on whether to split the content. I get my music from “artlist” so id have to check who the artist is. Cheers
