- This brilliant band from early 80's with Steve Boorer and Mak Norman. The hit that launched them in Canada and during that tour Nick met Kevin MacNichael in Nova Scotia and hey presto...Cutting Crew was born one year later. The best days with the best fans ever...so many sweaty beery gigs...remembered forever.
Produced by Terry Brown: 1982: Recorded in Toronto. Mixed at Morin Heights studios, Quebec, Canada # 4 Canadian hit!!!
“Tears on Your Anorak”
It's a classic situation, boy meets girl meets new temptation go.
I demand an explanation, but you keep losing concentration so.
So you’re telling those little white lies againSaw you dancing with the strangest guys again.
I can tell by the tears on your anorak, that you're n-n-never ever c-c-coming back.I can tell by the tears on your anorak, that you're n-n-never ever c-c-coming back.
It took time till I discovered, he was not your older brother then…
You keep calling me your lover, but I'm just your undercover friend.
So you're cry those plastic tears again, save them for all your ”would be” friends.
I can tell by the tears on your anorak, that you're n-n-never ever c-c-coming back.
I can tell by the tears on your anorak, that you're n-n-never ever c-c-coming back.
I just can't take no more
Come on, Come on
It's a classic situation, boy meets girl meets new temptation go…go! Go! Go!
I demand an explanation you keep losing concentration so, so! So! So!
So you're telling those little white lies again, save them for all your would be friends.
Never coming back!

Can’t believe that I found this song. What a treasure…love it!!
I literally play this song everyday, absolutely love it!🥰😍🥰😍🥰
Awesome Music of course from the Best Decade, The Eighties. Yeah
Still like that song of the young and wild. Impossible to listen without a smile.
The Shelly Arms in Nutley, Sussex.
*_The Drivers!_*
Nick, Mac and Steve. The _"Haywards Heath Gang,"_ as Nick called us, would always be there when they played.
Great memories and it's a good 40+ years since I last heard this song 8-))...
Great song from a great album.....still played often!
Nice song and great group !
I remember this getting a lot of play on AM radio in Halifax but haven't heard the song in 40 years (they were definitely channelling The Jam, not that I knew it at the time)
WoW!
I’ve never seen the video!! Thanks!!
Still love this song.
Loved the song. Loved the video. Blue tears, though?
sounds great . not punk but not new wave maybe that is one reason this band got lost in the shuffle of the early 1980s.
Dalcorte Records new a good thing when they saw it!
Here in the UK it was considered American rock but the southern English accent is more punk.

Hello Chris!every time i look at you ,you are only for kisses Chris!
Little bit of musical "full circle" coincidence, something maybe only a Canadian Marillion fan would know; Nick would help Steve Hogarth out on the song "Map of the World" off their record... Anoraknophobia
