- “Found You Out”
I thought I knew you better, I should have guessed it from the start
Found you out.
You were a close encounter, You were a middle-distance heart
Found you out.
From the pleasure in your screams
Found you out-found you.
From the devils in your dreams
Found you out-found you.
Found you out-found you.
She was an idle flower, Grown on a distant point of view
Found you out.
She had a sense of humour, I had a sense of deja vu
Found you out- found you.
I thought I knew you better, I should have guessed it from the start
Found you out.
You were a close encounter, You were a middle distance heart
Found you out.

The drivers still stand the test of time, I was 12 when this came out, great album and can't believe they didn't escalate massively
my fave song by THE DRIVERS. Nick van Eede
Really miss those nights. Best of my life. Nothing compares, sadly.
I love listening to all the songs from The Drivers and Cutting Crew, you are one talented singer Nick😊😊
Love remembering the good times in life....I think it was better back then. Thank you!
No matter how bad life was then there was really good music out there and a hope for something good in the future
Damper Goldenrod, agreed. Things are looking pretty bleak now and most of the music created today isn't good. I've switched to a lot of happy classical. Good sounds, no depressing words.
Great alternative college rock. Has a slightly melancholy psychedelic sound i would never expect from cutting crew.. Love this sound
Underrated .... talented for sure
Favorite song off Short Cuts... pretty alluring video. Absolutely love love love it !! Thanks so very much for posting !!!
1:55 to 2:02 absolutely love the lead singing and backup singing. this is the art of singing that was lost. love the "eh eh eh " vocal sound.
Great music and amazing band !
Thanks for posting again.... I remember it live at Barrymore's in Ottawa Canada,1983.
This is an outstanding sound here
Impressive, I like it 👌
Great stuff
Deja vu...love it!
Great band, regulars down at the Cartoon club , in Croydon!
Great times!!
it is just unreal a song that sounds this awesome and has a super cool intriguing video did not get mass exposure back in 1983. nick and the members of his various bands were the true gifted artists of the 1980s not george michael.
A song like this would.have been a massive hit if it got massive radio play in 1982. I love this somber desolate sound. Should have shown less of woman's pained expressions and showed more of the band.
🙂🎶🎵
The band had a massive following in the south east of England, and worked hard too it was possible to see them several times a week if you were prepared to travel, still baffles me that a band with that kind of following never got a break over here.
I recon NvE must have peed someone off over here as Cutting Crew also didn't get the recognition in the UK that they enjoyed elsewhere.

Very intriguing video and i bet they had a very limited budget. Money does not make a good song or video.
What was the purple plastic dress song? The Right Time? Cool rhyming Penzance with romance
How many of the band members in this video are still alive? Was this being heard in 1982 or 1983?
all still breathing
@@cuttingcrewmusic1156 i had no idea nick's band The Drivers would have a sound so embellished and almost mythical and psychedelic. Incredible sound here almosts seems like something from the middle east or some far away place because we were not hearing great music like this in the usa in 1982.
@@cuttingcrewmusic1156 glad to know all are alive and did not die in some tragic motorcycle accident midway through the 1980s. how many of these band members ended up in the cutting crew? what happened to the ones who did not end up in the cutting crew?
I saw them live many times. Never heard them on the radio. They were more successful in Canada.
