Sounds great, Greg. I’m in. 😊
Thanks, Greg. I’m in! See you in August.
Good one, Greg 😊🎉🤠
Count me in.
An excellent opening, Greg. I do hope the live discussion will happen!
It makes me so happy that people are not only still reading F., but actually talking about him.
Great announcement Greg!
Thanks!
Greg, there's a "southern" novel you might like (if you haven't read it already)--Paris Trout, by Pete Dexter. Many years ago, Cinemax made it into a movie, Dennis Hopper, Ed Harris, and others. Another one of Dexter's novel's was filmed--God's Pocket--starring Philip Seymour Hoffman. Anyway, I think you'd get a kick out of Paris Trout. Cheers.
I have read Paris Trout. Twice . Excellent novel. I should check it out other novels by this author.
I feel that a certain amount of self-loathing is healthy, but I would never go as far a reading Faulkner. I could never forgive myself :)
No problem. Faulkner isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
I read this book for the first time a few months ago. I don't know if it's "classic" Faulkner, but it didn't inspire me to read anymore of his works. The writing style was interesting, but it was really depressing and kinda horrific. Just my opinion.
You’re not wrong. Faulkner is hard for some readers to tolerate .
