Philippines here, hearing words from a God-used man like Mr. Don Moen is such a blessing, it's been years since my first interaction with thy videos mr. DOn :) , and I've always been blessed to hear advices.. and new songs as well.
I shared songs with my friends, introduced God and by the grace of God, they were blessed and are coming before God's Holy presence...though we are in different churches but are united with one God our Savior Jesus Christ...
there are tutorials (especially in music) which I've been using for years.. (such a great tips ;) )
Keep up these great advices and tutorials as well mr Don, May God bless you and your family, as well as the congregation of yours...

Don, I've been a worship leader for 39 years, and you were SPOT-ON about being careful about introducing new songs too often. Thank you for your ministry!!!! One of your songs we are finding very precious in our worship right now is "I just want to know you". Very much an anointed,God-breathed tune!!!!

Thanks for this great video & apologies for the length of this comment - I grew up in a traditional Lutheran church with an amazing music tradition, where congregational & choral singing was very normal & folks were quite experienced singers. We used the 1978 Lutheran Book of Worship for both the hymns and liturgical singing. It was rare that new songs were introduced, to my memory. It was beautiful, if impersonal.
I now attend a very large contemporary non-denominational church where the worship is heartfelt & very personal, but is a very loud concert format. I think they are aiming for a worship encounter with the Lord, but they have some problems in my experience: the decibels are so high, I can’t hear my own voice nor any voices other than the worship team, so often I just stop singing and listen only. When the worship team reduces the volume, and the congregation is even slightly familiar with the song being sung, it's so lovely to hear everyone's voices!
Many of the songs they sing are from Bethel/Hillsong etc. so they are familiar from the overall current Christian music culture. But when they change up the leaders and try new songs, there’s no introduction time, and only lyrics (no music) are shown on the screens, so it’s just a guess to follow along. It’s frustrating.
Love these videos - they're so encouraging and wise! Thanks!

Thank you Don for such good advice as this sometimes happens to my church's congregation too when a new song is introduced! Thank you for all the wonderful worship songs you've written and sung, so anointing when one truly worship Him in spirit and in truth! God bless you, your family and all the people who handle this channel, Shalom!

I'm all for new songs and for me I can learn them fast. I also feel that new songs allow growth in the Lord. What frustrates me is churches that are singing the same songs all the time and singing songs from 1975, & not going forward.

brother Don Moen my late husband loved your Worship songs and use to sing them all the time, I love your Worship music too and songs, I went to my home church on Easter Sunday and the Worship leader is so flat I mean he tries his best to sing, but it is so flat and I feel it is what he wants, I might start going back to Church there if God leads me, to maybe Sing some Songs to bring that Worship back to the Church, The Pastor is so anointed to preach the word, but the Worship music is so flat Like you said. will you keep the Worship leader in your prayers, I feel he has a calling may be in Helps but the Worship leader needs a heart to Worship as you have. love you brother Don keep my home church in your prayers. my pastor is an evangelist and is on the road almost all the time, and he has a prison ministry so he is a really busy man of God. i dont think at least to me what key the song is in for the congragation you have to be abel to play and sing the song as the leader other wise you are to low or to hi out of your range so for me i dont worry about the what key the people can sing in i worry abotu what key i can can sing in and some songs if you change the the key to much then you destroy the song it self .. when i listen to music i dont care what key its in i just sing along and yes there are some that its hard for me to do because and only because iam trying to sound like that singer and that i found is the wrong way to do that so i sing in the range i can with that song and it works better that way ..the people can not expect the singer to comply to their liking because everyone has a diffrent keys they can and cant sing in which is why i said to me it matters what i can do a song or songs in not them .. you dont put a cd in your deck and then tell the player to play the songs in the key of Ab of course not right .. because its not going to work out that way

Don - I think I will disagree with you on this point you made here: ua-cam.com/video/mQnFCvbGDi0/v-deo.html. Your point is to pick the right key for the audience to sing along in.
So far in my experience this is a fool's mission. An audience is made up of an array of different people, ages, sexes, experienced singers, non experienced singers etc... To find this 'right' key for the audience is silly. Instead, pick a key that is right for the singers up front. Pick a key for the singers up front that will make them sing out loud with emotion/passion. This will then be picked up by those in the audience and will hopefully connect with them emotionally and will make them sing too. The audience will follow you. Some will sing along - others may find the key too high or too low. But this would've happened the other way too.
