Brother Don I am from Nepal, I would like to ask a question that can we use word in worship entertainment for praise and worship? Because some people they use the word entertainment instead of praises.

Barnabas Pandit you can use God's words from the bible as your way of talking/encouraging the congregation to get involved in the singing. But most importantly you have to soak yourself in prayer and in reading the word of God, in that way you do not need to memorize what you're going to say but instead it will just come out naturally from your mouth as God Holy Spirit directs you. Hope this will help. God bless!

Question?? What can I do with a person that does:
Does not respect my authority as leaders and pastor
Complain about all the songs except if she or he like the song.
Have a negative demeanor with the other members of the group.
Does not want to be ready, this has the binder with the songs or make notes.
    Is full of pride.
    and others,
In general, make the practice and Sunday morning worship heavy and difficult.
I do not when the person out of the team because is very skillful, And I praying for a change of attitude but until that happens I can not have that person on the team.
With all that the pastor want that person on the team.
    What can I do?

The Newbie, Guitar Maker Sound like this person is very unhappy and wants to cause problems. Maybe if you have a talk with him/her & be truthful and ask if they are unhappy about something. Have a heart to heart talk with them in love. With nobody else around. Also when they step out of line correct them in love. I play keyboard on my praise band & we had a person that causes problems. Our band leader had a talk with them & things are a little better. Hope it gets better for you. Blessings

I tray that on several occasions. Well the person tray to get me in troubles, For I do not what reason. I have done something that I do like to do in this cases. this was Star saying what the scriptures say. Sadly, that person desition was to get out of the team without never work thing out. I do not want that person to come back without first have an encounter with God. The only thing if left, is continuing praying.

There are things worship leaders do all the time which drives people away.
First of all, insecure worship leaders often times call an unpaid musician "prideful" yet the worship leader is the one acting prideful. Do you confine this person in one position that they are not really happy with? Do you give your chosen ones whatever they want and make sure they are always included no matter what?
Can this person do what they want to do on stage or do you play little head games with them claiming one week they can then decide not to follow through? Make empty promises you don't keep? Think your "AUTHORITY" reigns supreme and would rather have yes people around?
If YES, you aren't exactly following in the footsteps of Jesus yourself. I've seen this play out in worship teams before where the worship leader isn't behaving nicely to one person. Sometimes it is out of jealousy, sometimes the worship leader just doesn't like the person and sometimes the worship leader wants the lime light and thinks the other talented musician would outshine them which is prideful.
People don't have to respect you if you aren't respecting them back. Being a worship leader is a paid position. Your job isn't to exclude people, play mind games, pin people up against each other, be surrounded with yes people, play favorites, play mind games to get your way...this is a formula that drives wedges in many churches. Eventually you're going to lose people. So examine your own strategy. Do you actively communicate with this person or do you rely on 2nd hand information or gossip?

Oh, don't mean to be a real downer here, but I suspect I am. Praise teams are wrong, just wrong. They are composed of kids that are there to gather all of the praise to themselves. They are not thinking of God, but they put the focus on themselves. How do I know this - couple of clues. Praise team members do not change, there is no constant recruiting to see if perhaps someone from the congregation might want to participate in this ministry. Point #2: Praise team members are in the building only for their song, then they leave, only to show back up for the closing song. #3: They sing to overwhelm the congregation singing, making sure their voice is front and center. They attempt to sing the song professionally, with all of the variations a professional might use, leaving a lot of the congregation scratching their heads.
Much better if you let one person lead the singing so it can return to what this is supposed to be - a congregational singing and praise time.
