In 98 during Slayer's Diablos tour Fear Factory opened in Seattle, I was up front yelling at the top of my lungs, "Pisschrist!" Burton actually heard me between one song looked down and yelled, "Two more ok!" Fucking Awsome show...
The reverb and effects help a lot. A lot of their concerts have Burton's mic set up with absolutely no effects added to it, which is the polar opposite of their records when its time for him to do clean vocals, and he's never been a strong singer, he's a strong screamer/shouter, so a live mic with nothing added to it won't do him any favors. And he also, like many other vocalists, gets tired as the concert goes on. The band didn't seem to end their sets with 'Pisschrist' during this time, but according to a set list from this concert, it was the 10th song of the night out of a very large 16 song set (the last one was Scapegoat). They would go on to change their set quite a bit once they went to Ozzfest during the summer.
greatest metal song.period.this is a groundbreaking genre.even artistes today struggle to cover these songs..this album is way ahead of our time..i still listen to this every fkin day.
Fuck I miss the old line-up.. i'd give anything to see them during these days. The ending of this song is so beautiful yet heavy as hell.. there's no one like fear factory
I think the same, not only for Burton, the whole scenary sounds better. Although old, and crispy sound, I think recording was still great, I can feel the power people were releasing there! So crude, raw and intense, with good reverbering.
checkin out this video again, i think it's pretty funny that even the stage security can't help staring at Burton in amazement while he sings his ass off at the end.
F-n love fear factory one of my top five, we'll the old FF, sucks you can't get their shirts at hot topic, I would support that shit, to the fullest, it's bad ass to see the security guards getting into it. Even the black dude with the dreads Moshe's his head to some other songs in this concert. FUCK YEA
Burton is the shit. Who can do that death metal and still sing so melodic. I'm so happy I got to see them on their first two albums tours. He had a great side band called Ascension of the Watchers....it wasnt metal, but it was still awesome. Listen to his song, Canon of my Beloved.
Devin Townsend (SYL and DT Project) is as good at both, different though. This song would sound shit with Devin because Burton has a unique style. Everyone should listen to more Strapping though :). I'm sure you know all this but fuck it, share the love of metal, right?
@@jbibanezdude44 Devin Townsend used to sound off all the time during the SYL era. But he turned his life around and fixed his technique and improved incredibly. Not sure if Burton could turn this around even if he wanted to
Dude. You see Burton wear NIN cap? Ok. NIN wrote soundrack for quake. Quake it's also ID game as doom. NIN is also industrial band as fear factory. Maybe some reptilians up here?
I like this band. They do not sound as good live as they do on the CD. Some bands do but not this one. I know there are things used in a studio to clean up the sound and that you cant really compare the two but if I had to listen to this band I would ask for a studio version.
I don't believe everything in the bible, but I just think the world is too magnificent in it's beauty and complexity for evolution to be true. For this reason alone, I do believe in a higher power. I do not believe in Hell, for that makes no sense for an all loving God. Merely death (destruction of your entity) or an eternity in heaven. This is for my hope of seeing my loved ones again. That's what religion is for me, hope. It may be. It may not be. It matters to the individual, not to society.
so i dunno thought it was a age thing until i saw them recently .. must be the life of touring i guess and venue/audio setup plays a part i think... not making excuses i always thought that too but yeah sorta changed my mind since i saw them last as it sounded really good...
1st time I saw them live was in 95 opening for Maiden. I thought it was the end of the world, blown away. Once Obsolete came out, they got pretty sloppy live. Don't know why, but what they can do in the studio doesn't translate well live.
This song is Classic and so true. There is not floating zombie in the sky that is going to forgive your sins, fuck that. I am God, and a female is a Goddess and everyone is responsible for their own destiny. Religion is a means to hold someone to someone else beliefs And I don't want anyone to agree it is what it is. Be yourself and fuck what people think about it.

Fucking Awsome show...

amitten My bro went to that show, heard it was amazing.🤘

Wow, I truly can’t remember burton EVER sounding better than this here.
they were all still young and in their metal primes here..... It's crazy to know this show was 2 DECADES ago

98 99 a lot of the my metal bands sounded incredible some bands still sound as good as they did back then.
The moment he roars "where is the sun?" is the voice of our souls.

Same
Best song ever by fear factory,,,vocals are awesome
Absolute mind blown! The jump from between heavy to clear vocals is flawless. Epic performance!
This has got to be the best job Burton has done on clean vocals in a live performance.
Fkin right mate, his pitch is spot on and no flagging at all. Great performance!
An excellent performance all round. If only Burton sounded like that now... Nevermind, the ravages of time take their toll.
Fuck I miss the old line-up.. i'd give anything to see them during these days. The ending of this song is so beautiful yet heavy as hell.. there's no one like fear factory
Ah, 90's...the cherry on top of entire metal cake
Man, Burt used to be able to actually sing live! Amazing. Love the hat too.
one of the best metal tunes of the 90's hands down

Wait we had a savior?
My right arm fell off jamming to this on guitar.
My right arm fell off due to a different type of jamming......
I lost a leg trying to replicate the drums
Божественно
still so incredible. Saw them on this tour
Why is this recording better than most live recordings 15 years later?
Businessman They were younger here.
I think the same, not only for Burton, the whole scenary sounds better.

Burton sounds line a possessed choirboy, fucking awesome.
Com erano giovani!!!! Gruppo della mia adolescenza....io li amo 😘😘😘😘
The Mister.enee non.vedo l ora che tornino in italia
Burton - one of my favorite vocalists from a very underrated band
I don't agree FF is a "very underrated" band...I mean they have their great recognitions in the metal community or metal music in general.
Holy fuck that dude has some pipes! It’s been a long time since I’ve heard this song and Jesus, wow...!
That's my singer! Amazing! 😍😍😍😍
EPIC FUCKING SONG!!! One of my favorite FEAR FACTORY 4 LIFE!!!

One of the best. My favorite is Fear Campaign. Then comes 540000 Degrees Fahrenheit. Then comes Pisschrist. Great songs by a great band.
Incredible.

I always play this song on iTunes when playing DOOM. Well actually I play the entire album when playing DOOM and BRUTAL DOOM. Is that bad?
Not bad at all, I always listen to FF whilst playing fast paced fps (UT,QUAKE,DOOM etc)
meshuggah18 I believe Doom to be the game that bring us metalheads and us gamers together.
Soldado de Juan José Torres Metal and 90's gaming for life!
Dude. You see Burton wear NIN cap? Ok. NIN wrote soundrack for quake. Quake it's also ID game as doom. NIN is also industrial band as fear factory. Maybe some reptilians up here?

Love the way he screams @ 2:38 and I couldn't help but notice that only 1 person didn't look to the sky on judgement day. Sucks to be that person
i have seen them live before and he was not as clean other times good.
I saw them about 4 months ago and he sounded great...
@purpleravenstar
I had no idea...
This song takes a whole different meaning now :(
*Raymond máquina*

How does the complexity of Earth relate to god being all-loving?
