Agreed. I don't think there are many people with a lot of these secret pins, especially the ones later in the video.

@@charKT-7461 Most of these pins are either unobtainable or have become obsolete, so it's not unusual for people to have very few secret pins
I had to do this on 4 separate occasions or more because my ps3 kept bricking itself

@@Crocko I think I got it for having 5 Mm picks back in lbp2, either that or a special season event post they made where they highlighted creators who made levels for every festival season of the year 🤔
I agree, you would most likely get the royalty, awesomesauce, and special friends pin by unlocking the molecule pin
royalty pin is getting the lbp crown and wearing it
I barely knew a half of these pins existed (including molocule)

Seriously, these secret pins range from “Log in to LBP at a certain day” to “Just get the platinum trophy” to “Make a really well done, useful, and popular tutorial and wait for someone from Media Molecule to like it” to “Go to a LBP meetup” to “win LBP’s version of the Oscar’s” to “work for the developers of the game”. No one can own all these secret pins at once unless they have the biggest advantage of all: no life.
Yeah, of all the collectables I've seen, LBP2's secret pins have to be the most ridiculous. Performing real life activities like working for Media Molecule or attending a LittleBigPlanet meetup really shouldn't be in-game achievements. It's especially crazy to me how much the difficulty varies between pins
the awesomesauce pin can be unlocked by doing something impressive in lbp (for example, someone unlocked the pin by painting a masterpiece with their ps move) either that or you need to have at least 5 of your levels have team picks, according to bigsurf77
Thank you for the additional info on this pin. It’s a little frustrating that some of the pins don’t actually have an unlock criteria, but rather vague details like ‘being awesome’. I appreciate your help in unravelling this mystery though

funnily enough one of my old friends could have technically gotten the last pin, she was a tools programmer at media molecule from 2019 to march of this year
Really cool video! I like this ‘top 10’ style video for LBP, you don’t see that very often. Some of the pins in this game are just ridiculous though, and some I had never even heard of like LittleBigLand, like, what?
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I agree, a lot of these pins are near impossible and completely ridiculous. Some pins like the one you mentioned have little to no accessible information over the internet about them, hence why you haven't heard about them, so making this list was challenging too.

These do sound pretty hard... but making a costume for Swoop with stickers is leagues more difficult.

Yes, it's quite surprising that a LittleBigPlanet game is the one to have such impossible achievements. Especially considering that unlocking these secret pins doesn't really have any benefit besides a profile decoration.
The only lbp2 secret pin I have is spaff appreciation day

Alex Evans in not in mm anymore
But the Mm site still features Alex Evans as a Mm developer so I don't really think that he dropped from the company for good. Either that or they wanted to remain him in there because they don't want people to forget him. He is/was one of the very important people in the studio.

(note: i copied this comment from a comment i already posted on another LBP2 secret pins video so if you have seen my comment on said video than dont read this) i am appalled at the fact that the molecule pin even exists, like, who in their right mind thought any sackperson on this very *planet* ;) would be dedicated enough to get a fucking JOB at media molecule, just to be awarded with a stupid pin?! like- ok. imagine going through every school grade, then going to college, and getting your college diploma, then going to a job interview and getting hired at media molecule, and then on your first day, you walk into the office, scribble down your LBP2 username on a sticky note, and say "heres my LBP2 username! now give me my secret pin with no more newton nonsense" then everyone in that very MM office looks at you like "oh shit..."

Yeah, the Molecule pin has to be one of the most stupid and outrageously unfair unlockables I’ve seen in a game. No achievement should ever require you to carry out a task outside of its own game, especially in an extreme scenario like this one, that involves changing your career path just to unlock a small pin that does nothing.
