That M11-P is a great #1 choice. If anyone is looking to get into shooting the digital M system, an M10 might be the way to go. Prices are fluctuating, and deals can be found. The images coming from the M10 are exceptional, even with 3rd party lenses. If anyone likes shooting 50mm, the Voigtlander 50mm APO-Lanthar is about as good as they get outside Leica glass. Tons of videos on this lens, so be on the lookout! As always, great video.
It will have better dynamic range on the sensor than Canon. The Sony menu system you may enjoy less. Canon ergonomics is normally better than any Sony. Sony focusing should be great. Sony color science is improving. A 40mm lens on street is great! Looks like only one card slot. Also looks like a swing-out flippy screen instead of a tilt-screen, which is a bummer. I am liking my Nikon Z5 and Lumix GX-9 as street shooters and my most used gear now.
You really don't need many of the modern features in these newer cameras for street photography. Look at the Leica M11, no video and no auto focus but still top dollar.

Hey Fulaan i love your Videos, whenever i need to by Camera Gear, i first look at your Videos and then buy them through the links ;), but i have a question regarding upgrading my Gear. I have about 2000€ in Budget and have serious "GAS" right now. So even though my Canon M50 has served me well i was thinking of upgrading to a Full Frame Camera, even though i haven't outgrown my Canon M50 yet and still use the Kit lense. Should i by the legendary SIGMA 18-35mm und use it for my old Canon M50 and then later on also for my Full Frame Camera or should i buy the Canon R8 and invest in lenses for that Camera like the ones from TAMRON which you recommended in your Video on the R8 ? I would love to hear from you, Keep up the good Content
Hello & thanks. Regarding the upgrade I would grab the R8, especially now that Sigma and Tamron will be making RF lenses. Personally myself I am using the Lumix S5II and I think it's probably the best value camera out there at the moment although the R8 is also a great choice especially since you have a Canon background already.

@@tooleko The advantage of buying older EF lenses is that you can use them with the Meike drop in ND filter as opposed to various screw on filters for different lenses. The advantage for RF lenses would be lighter more modern lenses.

The M6II was comparable to the a6400 but I think the newer a6700 is better in almost every regard. The M6II is still a great camera but with the m-mount being abandoned it's harder to recommend it these day.
@@FulaanCreative I understand, though I find the “abandoned mount” argument a bit moot these days. Other cameras have fixed lenses, so it’s really apples/oranges. And when it’s a good faith discussion of interchangeable lens cameras, the idea of discontinued products is not just in the EF-M lineup. Take the Fuji X-Pro 2 & 3, both discontinued, and we don’t know if we’ll see another one next year. The X mount in general has nowhere to go and the lions share of Fuji sales are on fixed lens cameras (if you aren’t counting Instax film cameras). I think specs-wise for APS-C it’s really easy to throw the baby out with the bathwater on the EOS M lineup. The original M has so many shared attributes with the Ricoh cameras, minus the ND filter. Throw a pancake lens on it and it’s the same size but also captures raw video internally. For the M6, it has higher res than most similar sensors, great ergonomics, excellent hybrid functions, and a detachable electronic viewfinder, which you only usually see often in higher GFX Fuji cameras. I think I’m just trying to say lately the resurgence of street photography camera enthusiasts is overlooking the hybrids that are cheaper, comparable, and look as good with similar form factors - and produce as good an image. Sure they’re no Leica, but they’re like that great compact hybrid between blackmagic and Fuji that folks are missing.
You might be able to find a good deal on a used camera that was released in the last year or two. For new cameras I'd look at the Ricoh, also the canon r10 and r50 are under $1k

I still use my aging X-T2 With the lovely 16mm f1.4 for street. I prefer journalistic style and wouldnt like to shoot street past the FF eq. of 28mm

Since you mention that a sharp or perfect image is not a necessity for street photography, might have been worth listing a budget camera here ?
A used Canon EOS M would be a great choice. No Auto Focus though

Most of these cameras are interchangeable lens cameras. The Ricoh is a fixed lens camera so you can't change the lens.
My first camera & current camera is Fuji x T200 ...its sucks in shutter speed... Thinking of upgrading to Sony a 6700... Wise decision?

Surprised to see the Sony in here when you got the Canon M6 Mark II which has the vintage vibe and comparable specs.
