I don't know why but I knew what happened, so i went outside ( on the meantime my mum just placed her on a table on my garden) and she was there lying on the table, i got closer and for some reasons i just touched her, she was still warm. No, i know why i did it, i was just hoping for a response, you know...anything...but she was there, with her eyes closed and without moving at all. So i just grabbed a shovel and started to dig a hole, once finished I grabbed her and there I've realized it, she was so cold and it took my whole arm to put her in the same position i usually hold her, and then i gently leaned her in the most confortable position (like she Was just sleeping) and nothing, I just covered it up. I find declawing the most terrible thing a owner can do to his cat, I feel bad to cut the nails of my own cat from time to time (even that she loves it and finds fun to watch me doing it, she even stares at her paw putting the claws in and out like "hum, nice job, but you could have done it better human"). It takes most of the cat skill to movement around and makes impossible for him to climb stuff
Declawing is a terrible surgical procedure that requires part of the cats toes being cut short, so cats will have to walk completely different. If you want, go watch cole and marmalades video on declawing
My cats are certified Companion animals, which is nice because "no pets" on rental apartments doesn't count. But they aren't service animals so I can't take them places. They help my autistic daughter and her anxiety. They help my Depression and loneliness . I'm so lucky.
jane knox I'm autistic as well as having depression anxiety and ADHD. And cats do help a lot. My cat will notice when I'm worse and will lay in my lap and head butt my chin and make me interact with her which makes me feel better.
My current cat, my little one-eyed fur baby, is such a cuddly cat. My doctor recommended having a cat to me years ago to help with my anxiety, severe depression and self-harm issues. Having a little fur-baby to look after helps me a lot and my cat seems to just know when I need extra cuddles and company.
It breaks my heart knowing that most of the seniors in assisted living homes are forgotten about by their "family" But once again animals fill that void with their magical presence.
Just imagine how many more hearts could be warmed if all assisted living homes were legally mandated to provide animal therapy like this ---For being so simple and inexpensive, such programs should be a no brainer.
nah not really. Caring for animals can be expensive. I dont think they would be able to foot the bill. Also not all seniors like cats and some are even allergic.
It’s easy to judge. Assisted living, if one can afford it, is a great intermediate step to keep seniors independent and in a social group when moving in with a family member is not an option. Besides having a live in 25 hour assistant would be impractical. And the services of a skilled nursing facility are hard to duplicate at home…a difficult discussion to have and a hard decision to make. And remember some people have no children.

I brought our new litter of kittens to visit my Gram in her assisted living place. Every single one of the residents woke out of their dazed boredom and became alive and about 50 years younger. It will always be one of my most favorite memories of her.
This is a beautiful video. I worked in an assisted living many years ago and I wish more people appreciated our elderly population, thank you for posting this.
What a lovely video. It never fails to amaze and impress me just how important the company of an animal is to the human condition. It was wonderful seeing the delight in these lovely seniors. Very uplifting.
My grandma used to have a cat called jasper and he would sit on her lap and let her stroke him, it’s also interesting to see how he has gotten older because when he was younger he could easily jump onto the top of the fence to get into the field behind my grand house but when he got older he would jump almost to the top and pull himself up, he didn’t really like people but he would let you stroke him and play with him, he was a good cat, we love you jasper, and we hope you are ok in kitty heaven 💞💞
This was so sweet! It looked like the residents really enjoyed spending time with the kitties. And all the cats were beautiful! The white and orange one looked kinda like a Turkish Van, the blue/grey one looked like a British Shorthair, and the tabby looked like a huge DSH that reminded me of my, recently passed, cat, Bob, who I miss dearly. Very regal cats. Loved seeing the soft paws on them for safety and they all seemed really gentle. I wish this was something that could happen more regularly. Many seniors have to give up their pets when they move into an assisted living type of residence and you know they miss them! Cats and dogs are great companions and therapy and regular visits would likely improve morale, depression, anxiety, and loneliness and give them something to look forward to.
Nice that both the people and the animals were enjoying it! The cats all had their ears pointing forward (relaxed/or inquisitive) and they felt at ease enough to eat. Lovely!
I have depression and I wasn't allowed to get help for it when I lived with my mom. But I had my cat, and she Definitely 100% saved my life. It was like she could feel it when u was low. She would come to me and purr and rub against me. And if that didn't work she would roll around and just act cute lol. She still stays at my moms and we don't talk really anymore 😞 I Really miss my kitty. But I know she's happy were she's at, I couldn't rip her away from her home she's 16 years old. I have another kitty that is a distant relative of hers tho, and he's such a good boy! Iv thought of getting him certified for therapy. Lol, he's just so gentle and calm and sweet. My toddlers poke around and mess with him all day and he's just lays there. And if the poke to hard he will crack open one eye and meow, its like he's saying hhheeeyyy stahp. It's cute lol.
I volunteered in a shelter and a few years ago I get 4 kittens home to care of till they are ready to be adopted. At 8 weeks, I bring them to the shelter with me, it was time for them to go to their new family. Then came a sweet lady, working in a nursing home for elderly and for sick people at the end of their life. I had The Perfect kitty for them. An adorable ginger cat, Gaston, lazy, doesn't play a lot because he only wants cuddles and naps, purring on laps, and never gets enough. So sweet.
I had a Kisa for over 17 years - a Russian Blue. Three years after her passing I now have a new baby RB who is just a darling little girl. Kisa and all that went before her will always be a huge part of my heart - that will never change. (My feral rescues ate my blinds!)
I love this. Rachael Ray is such an awesome person and so generous helping animals. God bless her because the old guard of animal lovers is very old or dearly departed- Betty White, Doris Day, Bob Barker, Mary Tyler Moore, Loretta Swit. We need younger folks to be the face of helping animals so generously like that. Howard and Beth Stern help animals now as well.
If I could do what I want, I would set up such a place with animals living there permanently and also with a kindergarten nearby so that kids and old people could meet if they wanted. I hate how older people are just seen as a burden and lead such miserable and lonely lives either at their own home where nobody cares or in very bad care homes, it is such a disgrace! They are such wonderful wise people who can give great advice, love and comfort. I wish I had more older people around, sadly all my grandparents are gone.
My gran could really use a place like this, but despite all her health problems and no car, she refuses! She's too stubborn to be social, but she's so lonely at home
Omg mister looks so soft and fluffy and just ahhh in so jealous! My cat gets overwhelmed if he is touched too much, so he definitely couldn't do this. Plus he hates dogs. I would love to have a therapy cat though!
You can't have a therapy cat unless you are going to be taking it to hospitals, schools and nursing homes. Therapy animals do NOT work for one person ever, they only work with many people in hospitals, schools and nursing homes. Individual people can have emotional support animals.

These old people were so adorable 💙 this made me extremely happy and it’s impossible not to smile
I dont know what I would have done without my kitties they helped me with depression and has literally let me cry on their shoulder
"They're stiff."
"Your fingers or the cards?"
Im crying literal tears 😂
Those smiles say it all! What a lovely group of individuals.
This is so pure and heartwarming, it almost made me cry
THIS is what we want from buzzfeed
Old people are the greatest 🙂
Aww, this was SO sweet. Animals make us feel so much love. Thanks for this great video!
"You cant really own a cat. The cat owns you." :D
So sweet.
I love this. I love cats and their healing magick! Nothing more calming than a kitty purring on your chest.
"You can't really own a cat. The cat owns you." This guy gets it.
this made me smile :)
I love this! Love how the gray cat (a Chartreaux, I think), has the "Soft Paws" nail covers on. Great idea for interacting with the public. 💞
I used to bring our cat into my mums nursing home. All the patients loved seeing us. Cats bring joy and help extend patients' lives!
I died when the old lady was like:
-David.
~David?
I dont know why I laughed at that
"these are stiff"
"Your fingers or the cards"

It does my heart good to see the elderly happy and smiling
I am literally vibrating with excitement; this video, the adorable elders and the cats...absolutely amazing!! ❤️❤️
i'm crying. i love old people and cats so much
HOW CUTE!!!!.....Meanwhile my cat is currently tearing up my window blinds =/
Miss_Kisa94 Well my cat always seems like a human to me 😐/.-.
Miss_Kisa94: & my cat has just dropped a mouse at my feet, but I do love her x
I had a Kisa for over 17 years - a Russian Blue. Three years after her passing I now have a new baby RB who is just a darling little girl. Kisa and all that went before her will always be a huge part of my heart - that will never change. (My feral rescues ate my blinds!)
"David" LMAO THATS ME IN 60 years lolll.
I love naming things David.
That is literally the cutest and most productive idea ever! Thank you
aw they're all so sweet ❤️❤️❤️
I'm crying happy tears this is so pure!
Howard and Beth Stern help animals now as well.
its a catastrophic
🤣
knight shade haha😂😂
Mr.Floral are what😫
knight shade a catastrophic what?
😽😿😾🙀😺😼😸😹😻
If I could do what I want, I would set up such a place with animals living there permanently and also with a kindergarten nearby so that kids and old people could meet if they wanted. I hate how older people are just seen as a burden and lead such miserable and lonely lives either at their own home where nobody cares or in very bad care homes, it is such a disgrace! They are such wonderful wise people who can give great advice, love and comfort. I wish I had more older people around, sadly all my grandparents are gone.
Yeah I dont get how people see their parents as a burden..its really sad
The world needs more people who think like you do.
There was a tv show where this girl ran a daycare/senior care/pet sitting service all in one...
That is a very discrete and respectful way of promoting a product.
“ meow, I think is a good name” 😂so creative. This is so cute to watch
My gran could really use a place like this, but despite all her health problems and no car, she refuses! She's too stubborn to be social, but she's so lonely at home
2:28 that cats nails are better than mine
A pleasant healing video thank you very much I love these cats
I worked at an assisted living before and sometimes they get lonely so this is literally so adorable so glad they did this
Every time i came home from school my cat ran to me and i petted her she loved human alot she wasnt like other cats 🐱
same with my kitty! He's so awesome
Omg mister looks so soft and fluffy and just ahhh in so jealous! My cat gets overwhelmed if he is touched too much, so he definitely couldn't do this. Plus he hates dogs. I would love to have a therapy cat though!
Brittany Wagner my dog kills cats
You can't have a therapy cat unless you are going to be taking it to hospitals, schools and nursing homes. Therapy animals do NOT work for one person ever, they only work with many people in hospitals, schools and nursing homes. Individual people can have emotional support animals.
I really love this BuzzFeed video. And the assisted living residents really seemed to love those cats. I think this was so cute and lovely~
"meow i think its a great name" SO CUTEEEE
My two favorite things in one video 😭😭😭💗
