- Have you ever used the chain stitch on one of the Brother coverstitch machines? This stitch is easy to set up and quick to sew. Brother Sews Ambassador Angela Wolf walks you through the process in the fun detailed video! The video includes showing how to thread the coverstitch machine for the chain stitch, how to stitch and chain off, and how to quickly tear out the stitches. The chainstitch is great for sewing, hemming, and decorative stitching!

No se hablar tu idioma, pero con lo que mire que haces me distes la mejor de las ideas, eres un amor, me encanto, soy mexicana, mi nombre es sonia lorena, te mando un abrazo con mucho cariño.
I purchased the stretch serger thread too.
It would be helpful to know what you might use a chain stitch for! Nice video..
There are a lot of things besides just sewing a seam - the neckline on knit tops, hemming, topstitching
Thanks for your answer Angela! I just finished sewing 9 knit tops and used top stitching and a wide cover hem. It never occurred to me to try the chain stitch feature!
Jeans! The seam topstitching for canvas bags, decorative and sturdy looking.
is it possible to sew Jeans material on this machine? chainstitch and coverstitch. thank you .
I would like to use pearl crown rayon in the looper when I do the chain stitch so it looks thick. I can't figure out how to set the tensions. Have you tried this? Or help me figure it out? Thank you..
Do you have a video to show strap or belt maker attachment?
Im looking for a machine that does a chainstitch but with elastic thread. Any recommendations? preferably double chainstitch.
Brother Crafts USA I see this the double chain stitch with elastic thread done on a lot of garments. Can you make a how-to video with the elastic thread on the Brother coverstitch machine?
Excellent
could you sew darts with a chainstitch? I'm thinking of whether to get a newer sewing machine (my mum's old one is kind of falling to pieces) or a coverstitch machine, since I mainly sew jersey/stretch fabrics, and I already have a serger that I love, so maybe if you have a coverlocker and serger, that would cover most of the things you'd do, no?)
To my knowledge, chainstitch commonly used for side seams and stretch fabrics don't usually need darts as they will mould to the shape of the body.
I'm learning how to use a brother serger
How do you keep the thread at the end from coming apart. How do you tie it off?
@@BrotherCraftsUSA why would the reason be for my coverstitch to break the thread when I am trying to chain off the stitches at the end?
Can this be done on a serger? Looks like it can
Like a regular serger with upper, lower loopers and 2 needles
If you have a serger / coverestitch combo machine you can - but you need the coverstitch part. The coverstitch machine and serger are different
I am hemming flour sack tea towels
