Always terrific explanation. As a society we have a major belief of controlling others, or the belief people “must” see things the way we do. Thanks again kirsty!
Great video as always! I have a fear of losing control so this was very helpful! 🙂
Thank you so much for this video. Unconditional self acceptance is part of the journey. This really helped me along with self love. I've started to agree with OCD and laugh it. Bye OCD bye bitch! 🤣🤣🤣
Kirsty, another great video. You speak very well. Thank you!
I've never been diagnosed with OCD but I do wonder now watching this video if I experience it. Maybe I only experience some symptoms on a normal/moderate level, because I don't find myself obsessing all the time. But I've definitely experienced and struggled with some of the things that you described, but it's nice knowing the normality of these behaviours.
I submitted transport phenomena homework and research literature search because I was afraid I would lose control and not be able to submit closer to the deadline.
I can relate to this video a lot. I started doing erp sessions watching UA-cam videos of schizophrenia, and as a result of this felt like my fear of losing control/going crazy was confirmed when I cant sleep, I am shaking uncontrollably all night long, I can’t eat it makes me want to gag, & I started feeling a sense of depersonalisation with it, like I was totally losing myself. My family rallied around all scared for me, and Iv decided to take a step back from the erp to regather myself.. however from what you’re saying here, are these affects a normal part of ocd recovery? And not to be taken as a sign that you need help?
Thanks for the video
I feel like i cant solve problems anymore
Your probably mentally drained
Nice
