I’m going through this type of ocd right now and it’s really terrifying. The thought of dying is terrifying and the thought of living forever is equally scary. I feel like I’ve thought so deeply about death that I’m now mentally changed and I’ll never get back to being able to be happy with living. I desperately need help/advice.
@@madguymatthew4179 thank you for your comment. I’ve actually read up about near death experiences and consciousness and it really helped me calm my fear. Even the slight possibility that an after life may exist is comforting. Also, I started a new anti-depressant that seems to help my thoughts from going into a negative spiral.
@@madguymatthew4179 I really hope they’re right!
@@madguymatthew4179 thank you very much for the support! I appreciate it!
Thank you so much. The idea of not having to experience negative affect upon dying is so crucial-death is a state of peaceful release from the tribulations of life. I have found that a lot of my fear of death stems from feeling like I’m wasting my life and that, if I die inexplicably, I’ll experience guilt from disappointing the people I love from getting to enjoy my company for longer. It’s comforting to know that I won’t experience their sadness because I will be peacefully in heaven, or just nonexistent. This video really helped me.
Thank you Rob!
This video is everything
This is very hard and confusing as I suffer from self hard ocd
I am watching this now in relation to the fear of death in nuclear war
So should i carry on smoking ? because we all are going to die one day and it makes me happy to smoke? or do i try and stop the habit to increase my quality of life and possibly life span
Remember just because we don’t want to fear death making healthy decisions is probably a good idea :)
