How come all the Skrulls were okay with letting humans lead the task to wander the cosmos to help find them a new home despite the Skrulls being the ones who were more technologically advanced enough to escape a planet to begin with? Also, since Nick Fury didn’t have the capability to go into space for a good majority of his time with the Skrulls, wouldn’t it make more sense for the Skrulls to be more mad at Captain Marvel than Nick Fury since she’s the one who’s actually flying through space to help them find a home?
Well, jidging from the perspective that almost every scroll turned out to be genocidal maniacs - no wonder that no one wanted to have a deal with them in space.
Sonya Falsworth (Olivia Colman) was definitely the highlight of the show. It was always a joy seeing her appear on screen and wondering what mischief she was up to next. 😄
Do you know the dumbest part of it? Not only do the guardians of the Galaxy in Thor know if at least a couple hundred worlds the refugees could go to, But even Nick himself knows about Titan, You know thanos's home planet that now has no population but could still realistically be inhabited Yeah he knows about that planet.
James Rhodes, a scrull, knew about Titan also. Also they glossed over that Ms Marvel was the one that was suppose to be actively looking because it can never be the fault of a women.
I don't think the problem is finding a habitable planet, or even an uninhabited one. It's finding a planet beyond the reach of the Kree. That seemed to be the whole point of Mar-vell's project in Captain Marvel. She already had interstellar travel technology, but she needed the tesseract to create a new kind that could take the refugees to a planet that would be safe from the Kree empire, since the Kree were all too willing to deploy planet-destroying weapons to eliminate even just a relatively small group of Skrulls.
And there were also populated planets that kept turning down the Skrulls. At what point does it go from systematic oppression to, “these aliens may be genuinely manipulative and would nuke us off the side of our home just so they can feel comfortable in their own skin?”
A problem that this series introduces is that its now way to easy to turn a Skrull into a serious powerhouse, they said at least 1 million on earth, if a threat on Thanos's level shows up again they now need to explain why they can't just find like 50-100 Skrull's they can make into super Skrull's, Thanos had significant trouble against just captain marvel imagine like 50 people with even just 65 percent of her strength all jumping him at once, not to mention the seriously powerful combination of powers you could get if they can get access to the right dna, like quiksilver and hulk, or that guy introduced in She Hulk who power is literally immortality, black bolt voice, etc.
@@danieldickson8591 Probably a major reboot, its what they love to do when they write themselves into a corner. With Loki doing time stuff, its a very possible outcome where they just erase the entire part of the MCU they don't like and write a new story in a new universe.
@@elultimolag.3413 El planeta de Thanos es donde pelio con Spiderman, Dr Stranges y los guardianes, este no es el mismo planeta donde Thanos fue a descansar y ser granjero.
Skrull invasion would have been such an interesting center point for an entire phase. Avengers being skrulls for a few movies/series. But no. They had to make Skrulls a persecuted refugee race and shove their story in to one movie and a tv series that didn't lead to anything consequential.
I know! I was just thinking the same thing. Just like in phase three every few movies had them finding an infinity stone (Thor 2, GotG, Doctor Strange), they could have had a few movies where they come across a Skrull shapeshifter. Then they could drop hints that some of the super heroes are Skrulls or might be Skrulls, that instead of Hydra pulling the strings there are shape shifters in positions of power, all building up to a Secret Wars movie. Instead, we get an immigration allegory and a story about Nick Fury being a sad old man, because that worked so well in Last Jedi, Indiana 5, and who knows what else.
Yeah, nevermind Tony Stark (and Disney shying away from doing his alcoholism arc from the comics), Fury has him beat by miles. I wish drinking wasn't such a thing for crusty but professional spys in film & television. Wouldn't they NOT be drinkers, so they could always be sharp and never off their game? It seems counterintuitive. I feel like they'd be more health-and-fitness minded. It's a lazy, tired trait for writers to imbue their characters with. Wish we had less alcoholic characters.
I'm so glad someone spoiled Talos' fate to me so I didn't even bother watching beyond episode 1. He was literally the only good thing to come out of Captain Marvel and his relationship with his wife and daughter was genuinely heartwarming. It pissed me off so much that Disney just tossed that in the garbage off screen.
"Okay, so we're gonna do a whole thing with Nick Fury where we really try to delve into the toll being a spymaster really takes and the hard choices you have to make." "Sounds cool, how we going to end it? Some sort of cunning double cross or yet another hard choice?" "Big CGI brawl between two people who aren't Nick Fury"
I was really excited for this when the trailers came out, probably only MCU show I was interested in. I wanted to see Nick Fury actually shine and get the gritty non-MCU-like show people actually want, but no was just an assassination on a badass character...
There’s probably a lot of plot holes to find in this series, but what really stood out first watch was when Fake Nick hands the Harvest over to Gravik at the end. Gravik puts it in a machine which verifies all of the DNA and shows pics of all the sources. How does it do that without having samples of the DNA already?!?
@VinceValentine Ghost wasn't, and I think they use her phase-shift thingy (which was a power that came from her suit, not her DNA, but that's a whole other thing.)
@coyoteone6197 Ghosts phase ability did not come from her suit, unless you just already forgot the plot of Antman and the Wasp.. She literally takes off her suit and keeps phasing in and out until she goes inside her chamber.. The power clearly came from her blood.
@@margarethmichelina5146 I have, and she was very good, but I felt like she wasn’t given much to do-the Queen didn’t seem like the main character of her own show. Those seasons seemed to belong to Tobias Menzies, Gillian Anderson, and in season 4, Emma Corrin.
If you would have asked Kingsley Ben-Adir a year ago which project would have been more successful, which would he have chosen? Secret Invasion or Barbie?
Well, if you had asked him a year ago, they probably would have said Barbie. A year ago Barbenheimer was just getting started and the MCU was putting out stuff like Shang-Chi and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Pretty sure _Barbie_ is the no-brainer here since Greta Gerwig has shown that she knows what she's doing and at least has a clear vision even if one doesn't agree with it. The MCU has clearly been floundering and directionless ever since _Endgame_ concluded for the most part.

A lot of the scenes between characters just talking were more tense and better than the action and supposed to be suspenseful scenes. The character scenes were the best part of the show
Legit barked out a laugh at Rhodey - they've been hinting that he's a shapeshifter since Day one. The most low hanging of fruit jokes in the trailer and got the best response from me. Great delivery Epic Voice Guy!
Still under debate when he was taken. He was still wearing leg braces in Infinity War and Endgame. Just because he's in a hospital gown means nothing, Rhodey would have needed multiple check-ups on his legs. Plus at the Battle of Earth he had facial injuries which bleed red and stayed red.
What's even funnier is that Rhodey was at Thanos' Garden, a confirmed vacant planet that only Thanos and the Black Order knew about. So either the Skrull stole memories of the place or the skrull was actually there... Bruh.
I'm actually one of the peeps who dug Captain Marvel too, thought it was a fresher film than a lot of the others in the MCU and felt even the teeniest bit experiemental, like the Phase 1 movies. Hopefully Marvel can refocus better going forward, or not, I wouldn't mind it if Marvel took a backseat in the film and television industry for a while. Though Star Wars is looking to be making the exact same mistakes lol.
Its wild they just didnt go, you know that beautiful planet that Thanos settled on that was perfect but also, somehow didnt have any humanoid species on it, why not there? Send the Skrulls there...
This is the problem with companies. They prefer quantity over quality. I'm not even sure Loki can save this clusterfart. I'm skeptical in watching the second season, despite liking the first because of how mid to bad everything has been post-Endgame.
This is why I’m really hoping Secret Wars completely resets the MCU and Marvel starts a competent universe with the X-Men, Fantastic Four and others the MCU doesn’t have. It simply can't be that since it took years to even set up Endgame. You are expecting the impossible. Another is the superhero multiverse thing might be going stale and Disney knows that. Third, due to this Marvel is not in the superhero business anymore. They make spy thrillers with a superhero in it, they make coming-of-age shows with a superhero twist, they make buddy comedies with superheros. Its just not interesting anymore to do a superhero movie that you keep expecting. Endgame was all that was even possible with the genre but they can't stop because then the shareholders will be mad, so you have to find some way to make it interesting.

True, but it was Nick who used them to advance his career without fulfilling his promise. I'm not sure they assisted Captain Marvel in any way.
Well, jidging from the perspective that almost every scroll turned out to be genocidal maniacs - no wonder that no one wanted to have a deal with them in space.

@@ingiford175 I thought Captain Marvel was the one looking?
And there were also populated planets that kept turning down the Skrulls. At what point does it go from systematic oppression to, “these aliens may be genuinely manipulative and would nuke us off the side of our home just so they can feel comfortable in their own skin?”
Titan is uninhabited cuz it's a dead world... No resources left to supply an entire race

Skrull invasion would have been such an interesting center point for an entire phase. Avengers being skrulls for a few movies/series. But no. They had to make Skrulls a persecuted refugee race and shove their story in to one movie and a tv series that didn't lead to anything consequential.
There's an entire comic about it in which this series is "loosely" based on that should've been an entire phase.
It's all about replacement

I wish drinking wasn't such a thing for crusty but professional spys in film & television. Wouldn't they NOT be drinkers, so they could always be sharp and never off their game? It seems counterintuitive. I feel like they'd be more health-and-fitness minded.

Clearly DNA includes pictures of the owner, that's how biology works! ;)

Pretty sure _Barbie_ is the no-brainer here since Greta Gerwig has shown that she knows what she's doing and at least has a clear vision even if one doesn't agree with it. The MCU has clearly been floundering and directionless ever since _Endgame_ concluded for the most part.

Third, due to this Marvel is not in the superhero business anymore.
