Im far from having reached this dude but one thing I hate during boss fights is when the bosses are HUGE and COMING TOWARDS YOU. Probabl gonna have a panic attack as soon as I reach this fight
I think this is a terrible fight. Before you get angry at me, here's why: This fight actively prevents you from damaging the boss in any way for most of the fight. In the actual combat, that is the majority of the fight, you aren't damaging the boss but removing his protection, which is something that happens a lot in Metroid Prime and on its own isn't too bad. BUT, the majority of THAT time, you can't even destroy the protective Phazon things on him, because he literally holds his hand out and completely absorbs anything you shoot at him. He does this for most of the time you're fighting him. This means that instead of hurting the boss at all, a large portion of your time will be spent trying to avoid him and waiting, waiting for him to stop with the stupid hand. A lot of the time, he will damage you and cancel your nice charge shot before you can use it. Not only this, but the entire time he is moving towards you, constantly making you back up. This works absolutely terrrribly with the control scheme, especially of the original game and probably the wii version to, because you are aiming at him and when you are constantly backing up you cant see where you're going. He will keep backing you into walls and then the entire screen will just be a mess because he walks right up in your face and keeps melee attacking you, you're taking damage, your arm cannons being knocked aside, and you cant see a fricking thing that's going on. Because of his hitbox, sometimes it's hard to get out. Not only this, but there are large patches of Phazon several places on the ground, so in addition to being backed into walls, you are constantly going to be walking into these patches and taking damage, with no good way to avoid them because you are walking backwards into them while looking up at the boss. If you stay still, he will walk up in your face and start melee attacking you. If you don't watch him, he will be busy creating shockwaves that come and get you from behind as you try to look where you're going. So, you finally get all the Phazon off of him, and he disappears, a bunch of pirates coming in his place. This is the only time you can damage him, the only time during the fight cycle, and in that time, a bunch of pirates arrive to shoot at you from all directions. It's not so bad the first time, but after that, there are multiple different types of pirate troopers. So you have to switch between different beams just to fight them. This would be fine, but it takes so long that not only is the window that you can damage the boss straight up gone by the time you fight off the pirates, he usually is back in his normal phase before you are even don with them. So not only do you have to survive the normal boss, but a couple pirates as well, and from that entire section, you never even got to hurt. the. boss. Now, maybe there are some ways around these. Maybe there's a whole other thing you can do that kills the boss in two minutes. But if there is, I sure don't know about it. I read the pirate data, I scan the bosses, and the only thing I can figure out to do for Omega Pirate is shoot the phazon off him, fight the pirates, xray visor, super missile him. tl;dr For the majority of this fight, you cannot damage the boss because you have to shoot phazon off him. For the majority of that time, you cannot shoot the phazon off him anyway, or do anything really. You cant see where you are going and he will back you into walls and corners and over damaging spots on the ground, obstructing your vision so you cant see what's going on and melee attacking you. For the brief window that you can damage him, other enemies will spawn and usually the boss is invulnerable before you've even dealt with them. worst fight ive ever played

I used to keep dying from this boss (I also didn't see the saved station next to the boss's area the first time I faced this monster) because I was always stingy with my missiles. I was so desperate in trying to save missiles. For what? I don't exactly know. I was afraid they'd run out. I didn't even know that my ship automatically refills them. I liked this boss, I just wish he was harder. A bit disappointing after the scans hyped him up a lot before you got to him.
DrewPicklesTheDark you're freaking kidding.
No I am serious. Once you get the basics down, his attacks are predictable and easier to dodge. I think his attacks should of been less predictable, or there were more things to worry about during the fight.
I think relative to the other bosses in this game, only Ridley and Prime are tougher than he is.
Ye I only enjoy this boss on the hardest difficulty
Well, he is the only boss in the entire Prime trilogy that you can scan him before enter a fight
That Omega Pirate skipped leg day.
Whats the best way to kill this monster fast? Do I have to kill all his minions before he can be spotted while invisible? Help!
Use super missles and he takes like 4 hits
If you don't have Patience (like me) to find out which series of steps you have to take to kill metroid bosses, you are goimg to have a bad time.
But once you figure it out, every boss is super easy.
Pretty cool you can use the stick instead of a wii pointer that pretty much never worked properly.
I use the wave beam. Less damage but it tracks so you don’t need to aim
Wait Wait Wait, ¿Omega Pirate says FINISH HER?
Idk how but this was the easiest and long boss fight for me, idk if I naturally just became good with metroid games, considering I've tackled prime 2 before getting my hands on prime 1 so that might make senses
You ended with 55/90 missiles. What were you saving those for, dummy?
55 easy kills from there to the save station
Can't seem to beat him.
All these comments are too relatable, lol. I died so many times on the wii. I feel like the remastered version was almost easier after dying 1000 times on the trilogy version
Fun fact , i have beaten this guy on hard mode with no xray visor , no super missles , no charge beam , no power bombs and no beams other than the power beam unlocked..... thankfully he can kill the reverse engineered troops.
Fun fact : it was hard and took many attempts only for me to be locked in this room after with no way out 😂
# metroid souls 😂
@Phaz0nFckr
You, my friend, are crazy. But that is still incredibly impressive.
For first timers on this boss its going to give us a challenge... because this was the only boss i would rage on lol, but this boss was challeging.
Nice to see they removed the badass scene of Samus being basically electrocuted by phazon. :/
Just one power bomb then spam super missiles when you use the x ray Visor during his regeneration, not even a boss 😒
I'm surprised this wasn't made a spirit in Smash Bros Ultimate. Metroid Prime the Final Boss as well.
No Power Bomb?
Too bad this fight is seriously so easy when you know the right strategy
do most people really use the plasma beam like this when fighting him?
Brace C it's better than wasting super missiles
even in prime plasma finds away to be somewhat op XD
I think it's because it was designed ONLY for the Plasma Beam for Omega Pirate shoulders and knees.
I had trouble hitting the shoulders and knees with the Plasma Beam so I ended up using missiles and the Power Beam on them and then switching back to the Plasma Beam to damage him.
Got this for the switch and this guy in a pain in the ASS
thanks
Idk how this boss was hard for everyone, it was honestly very easy for me, either that or i just knew what to do even though I fought the boss for the first time, but it shouldn't be that difficult at all
Why you only have 8 energy tanks? When I got to this boss, I had 13, and only needed the last one that was after beating this boss
I beat him yesterday in only two round. I've been able to shot him 3 super missile while he recharge the first time. Only one left to kill him. Poor boy I he was just too weak against my attacks. I play with original setting no with mouse.
I was doing it wrong the entire time
What a great game
Come here to see how ro beat the thing, the way is by suffering it i guess :')
The “I don’t like this game anymore” part
I got almost all of the energy tanks
Edgar Sandoval The energy tanks aren't too hard to find, but finding all the missiles is a pain. Found all but 2 in my playthrough.
I beat Metroid prime 3
Ive also beaten flaaghara with raised water levels so the whole room poisons constantly you because i hate myself and thought dark aether was fun ! 😂
In My Opinion he is Way Stronger and more difficult than Metroid Prime ❤
Fought him last night and... boy he was getting on my nerves
man the hitboxes on this boss are such bullshit
I have only played metroid zero mission
ok
No the hardest is “Metroid Prime”
This boss sucks. Then afterwards, of course, I have no idea where to go.
Well he isn't as bad/easy as any of the bosses from BOTW or TP.
