I'm pretty good with a Kensa Splattershot, more so than the others. But I think its because its a "lucky weapon". You know, like a weapon that's not the best and yet when its in your hands you're suddenly splatting every single enemy around the corner.
As a charger main, my one tip: hide behind a wall and do whats called a right side peek where you use right stick to find a target, charge the sniper, and peek out from the right side barely just so your weapon can shoot. this is good because it makes your hitbox extremely small. unless of course somebody is behind you.
This can be improved if you store your charge for a second in the ink, then swim out some to pop up and shoot after a moment's notice. I tend to do that all the time, and it works great for me.
As a Dynamo player, I have to say that I prefer the gold Dynamo over the kensa. There will be times when using the dynamo that you come across a player you cannot approach without being splatted; usually because of the weapon they are using and/or their positioning. This makes the splat bomb sub a much better match for the Dynamo as it can put pressure on those opponents or force them to retreat. Ink armor is also useful because it can give you just enough time to react to someone flanking you, and get at least a trade. Sure the kensa is better in splat zones, but I prefer the neo splash in zones and mostly use the Dynamo for clam blitz (No really! It’s in the top 20 most used weapons for clam blitz in X rank). It excels at defending your basket or keeping your opponents back from their basket once you have made a push. Since we're on the topic, I tried oreos with ketchup once. It was very meh, nothing meshed, so it ended tasting weird. Was bad at first, but then the ketchup taste mellowed out. Definitely better with milk. Don't try ketchup oreos kids, I have a tank for a stomach, the other person who took the dare with me and ate it immediately threw it up. So let that be a warning for those of you not wanting to become bulimic. Like the Slosher kit, wish it had a better special, but maybe someday it will have the perfect kit.
>Splatted Hitzel Ayye lmao, destroy that man. After watching Inkvitational over the weekend, I was surprised to find that Kensa Splattershot was used by some of the highest level pro players around. Can you guess where? If you guessed Blackbelly Tower Control, you were right! Suction bombs are always good on that mode, and the Tenta Missiles helped clear out enemies when going down that narrow corridor. Obviously still very specific, but it's nice to see some use finally being found for missile weapons. And I feel like the meta is shifting back to Bubbles. Inkjet is still good, but right now Bubbles seem really dominant. I disagree that they're just a backline special -- they're flexible enough to work with slayers, midliners, and anchors. Of course, you're right that the main problem with rollers are the lack of mobility, so the point about the superiority of og Splat Roller is correct. Kensa Sloshing Machine is a slayer weapon. Straight up. Also, I'm curious as to why you hate sloshing machines so much -- what's the joke behind that? Don't get me wrong, it's hilarious, but I'm just wondering, heh. Still, slap a main of special saver on that baby, and if you get splatted out of your splashdown, you're basically guaranteed a jump in with splashdown operational again. I haven't seen a whole lot of Booyah Bomb at the competitive level yet. Might just be an issue of figuring out where to fit it on team comps -- it's never going to replace Bubbles, Stingray, or Inkjet, which leaves one last slot on the team that might be better off going with Inkstorm or Baller. If we get another Kensa Collection, either give me a Slosher with Inkjet or Tetra Dualies with Inkstorm and a lethal bomb, lol. Oh, and an Explosher with Stingray. Thanks for making this! It was very funny and I laughed a lot. :D
I had a dream either last night or I guess the night before last night or yesterday that I was using the Booyah Bomb but I was the only one Booyahing and I was just awkwardly stuck in the air I think I was about to get splatted before I woke up also nice Sonic music *UwU*
the reason why bubble blower is seen as a back line special is the only weapons that had it were back line weapons but the kensa roller can also combo to the dos swing and the splat bomb
I actually love the kensa dualies... I happen to always have the same gear: A pure swim speed, A pure of special charge up (it’s the toothpick) and a pure of bomb defense up DX... And I love the kensa dualies. I also like chargers
I mAiN tHe KeNsA sPlAtTeRsHoT pRo I think it’s a pretty good weapon. It has a decent range and shoots straight (unlike most weapons), which suits my play style well. (I like rushing in and killing people.) I agree that the splat bomb is a very versatile sub, since it can move on the ground after throwing it to get a little more distance. It can keep people away from you or bring them closer. As for the booyah bomb, it doesn’t cover quite as much turf as I would like, but it’s useful for telling the other team “hey, don’t go over there!” And the booyah bomb looks FREAKIN AMAZING and boosts morale.
When is the kensa: brella, brush, and splatling cuz we need weapons that combine my fave stuff. Murder, murder, murder, and murder, did I mention murder?
The kensa splat roller with the bubble blower is actually a blessing in disguise as long as you know how to use them. I use them offensively, get them out as quick as you can. Throw a splat bomb then horizontal flick and they pop. It's great to pressure people with, especially in tower control and splatzones. I main this plus the Kensa splatter shot pro and with the new ability, main power up, it can be a godsend.
I'm an Kensa Dynamo main and I'm glad you didn't constantly roll with it xD. It maybe sounds weird but with a dynamo you shouldn't roll but just swim slash and go back swimming a.k.a it's a roller that shouldn't roll but I still love it and it's my favorite weapon and I know how to work with it (15/20 kills a match if I'm lucky)
Did anyone else get triggered when their teammates had fully charged booyah bomb but didn’t use it even when you and ur teammates booyahed several times as a reminder to use the booyah bomb
I’ve been using the Kensa charger since it came out. I’m pretty bad, getting 2-7 kills on average. I mostly use it ‘cause I’m bad at stingray and bad at splash wall.
Kensa shot is actually really good in clams, if you do this: get 9 clams exactly, locate the last clam near their basket, missile every one there , grab the clam, and throw it, if you can get teammates, you can win the whole game with one rush
I’m doing a whole “how to use splat/krak-on/kensa roller” and honestly idk which ones the better sub besides beakons and which special is better besides bubbles so yeah. You have given me the idea to do my own experiments with weapons
How to use the Tenta Brella and Hydra Splatling. Because playing a low tier makes your skill by default better than people who play high tiers, even if it means you're stick in B+...
I freaking love the kensa splat charger, the combo of both sprinkler and baller allow the weapon to function in far more aggressive positions than you normally could with other chargers. the sprinkler solves the charger's biggest weakness, the inability to paint an effective combat field for yourself, you can get into position, throw one down, and start charging up. if someone jumps you then you've got space to juke and punish with the shot you've stored. plus, it allows you to do your job as a charger while still being active in turfing with the rest of the team. the sprinkler does more for the charger than it honestly does with every other weapon it's paired with. and I kinda hope that we might see a squiffer with a sprinkler someday.
I think my favorites from each batch has to be Kensa Roller and Kensa Luna. Roller has a very interesting kit, which is probably not as good as curling bomb mobility on a rather close-range weapon, but fills a niche of bombing people back to the Ice Age. Throwing a bomb at your last bubble will make the next flick you do pop it, and get close to popping the others as well. Having bomb pressure on a Roller is actually pretty good too, as some people will just be inaccessible by normal roller means, but you do lose mobility in getting away so ink and pay attention to the map. Luna on the other hand is very well rounded. It still has the weakness of having abysmal range, but Fizzy Bomb and Ink Storm help it not only turf but go after targets much better than before. I seldom play Blasters because they don't feel as rewarding to use, but Luna makes you work for it and it is satisfying to use the Kensa variant as it's not punching you in the gut (OG Luna isn't bad tho.) Sloshing Machine and Splattershot Pro are close seconds.
If i had to give out advice as a trash charger main, its would be something like this: -for the normal scopeless chargers (what i use most of the time) you have to remember the use of stored charge, if your going to move possition and you already charged a shot, dont release, use your stored charge and move to your desired area, only release when you have to (example: on grates, going up a high wall, yes thats all that comes to mind) but if you want to cancel a charge use your stored charge and release while still in squid/octo form (how do i explain shit?) -when using a scoped charger, you dont have stored charge, but in exchange you have longer range and faster charge time, i wouldnt recommend this type of charger if you move around a lot and need to have a stored charge around, but if you can manage to mostly stay on the high-ground and be able to aim at your opponent then your all set and done (only use when you have decent aim or else your screwed 😏) -now for the actual weapon your here for, kensa charger, i dont use it due to its kit, sprinkler is an awful sub for a charger, because it cant deflect enemy attack or really kill anyone, but its good for stages like goby arena and manta maria, where you can toss a sprinkler at a hard to reach areas where it wont be so easy for close range weapons to take down, and for longer ranged weapons it can distract them for a bit which gives you time to aim at them, given if you can reach or if theres nothing in the way like the box in the center of goby arena or the giant pillar in manta marina, on the other hand baller is a decent special, but it should be for last resort, IF your team is losing in turf, use it, IF your getting attack, use it, IF you need to push to the enemy team to dunk a clam, use it, again, its a last resort -for shorter ranged weapons like squiffer (my main) and bamboozler, just keep these in mind: squiffer is a more frontliner weapon, with its short range and fast charge time, so your role should be offensive or flanker, depending on mode and your preffered playstyle, just make sure not to stay on the same place for the match and move sniper possitions, cuz your supposed to move foward and keep your enemies away from the objective, bamboozler, sure, its a trash weapon, but it has the fastest charge time, but takes 2 shots to kill, so make sure to practice with this weapon So what did we learn? Splat chargers have a decent kit you must use, scopes are hard to learn, kensa has a teribble kit yet you can do decently with it, squiffers are ment for frontliner chargers (i see a lot of people who use it like its got long range) and bamboozler sucks ass unless you yourself dont
I really dislike the play style for chargers - which is why the only one I actually use is the bamboozler. It’s a trash charger, but is slightly less trash if you don’t use it like a charger. (It is also very forgiving of my terrible aim).
Gotta love how the kensa splattershot might be the most used kensa weapon in competitive play now, I think, it might be the kensa sloshing machine or the kensa pro tho
Another tip for the booyah bomb: If you're stuck you're getting backed into a corner and you're about to get completely screwed by a special (like tenta missiles or another booyah bomb), you can activate your booyah Bomb and tank the damage, and then throw it for a counter attack.
One thing of sub saver is beneficial for the kensa pro, since the splat bombs suck up an absurd amount of ink and leave you really vulnerable with such an ink consuming weapon.
Kensa dualies are actually really strong. They are a amazing in clam blitz as baller can be turned into a push almost every time, and on maps where inkjet sucks, like moray, they are a great alternative.
Tip for weapons with the Booyah Bomb: When a charger/splatling is camping the spot that you’ll be at when you drop down, the best thing to do is to throw the Bomb right behind them. If they run, they’ll be forced to get closer to you where they’ll be an easy kill (just remember that storing a charge is still possible). If they camp the spot that you’ll land anyway, they probably won’t have enough time to escape the bomb (unless they have a lot of Swim Speed Up).
I've found that Kensa Dualies's kit is exceedingly effective at controlling a certain area, making them better than Emperry in Splat Zones and Tower Control.
Im pretty good with the dynamo rollers...heres a tip:if your going against a dulie player you can move your camera when flinging to change where it hits.
I like using the booyah bomb like a smokescreen. Run through the explosion with a close range weapon and surprise an unsuspecting victim on the other side
I think kensa charger is pretty great if you work best under the constant pressure of imminent death on the front lines or if you don’t trust your team mates. Obviously, the scoped kensa is the worst option for this play style and, if you use main power up, you don’t even need the scope for the kensa. If you do want to be a close range charger, though, you’re better off with the squiffers (if you don’t have a bunch of main power ups) or (preferably) the bamboozler for quick merciless kills.
I was just wondering if you make a video about how to or what to do to get the abilities, and talk what abilities you most likely get for the each clothing brand. That help a lot, but I understand if it’s to much. Thank you.
I agree with just about everything you have to say except for Tenta Missels. Sorry if I misspelled it. I’ll just call them the Tentas. I find the Tentas really helpful in Tower Control because you basically just aim them near the Tower and before you know it there’s ink raining down from the Sky that can one shot people. I find the Tentas useful in every mode except Turf War.
SuperZombieBros there are tons of specials and subs that can force people off the tower, the main problem with Tentas as you call them is that you’re very vulnerable while using them and the effect is very underwhelming (unlike something like Sting Ray)
I have a tip for the Booyah Bomb: don’t use it near a tree. I have played on The Reef many times, used my Booyah Bomb next to a tree, and the tree took up half of my field of view, so I could either throw the bomb at the tree (useless) or throw it at the very edge of the stage (also useless).
Guys,i found a use for tenta missiles, but Booyah Bomb,Ink Storm, and Splashdown can do the same thing For making opponents leave an area so you can continue inking it It is really good in splat zones
imo kensa dualies are really good if you know the properties of baller, like the fact you can run people over if they have enough damage, or you are indestructible after a certain amount of frames when destructing
In Spanish "Booyah" translates into "Genial" (Cool) and the Booyah-bomb it's called "Bomba genializante" which doesn't have a direct translation into English, it's like saying "cooler bomb"
"Booyah" in the JP version is called "Nice," and the "Booyah Bomb" is "Nice-Dama" after the "Genki Dama" from Dragonball.
So calling it "Booyah Bomb," like Spirit Bomb, is an appropriate translation.

My little brothers love oreos and ketchup
Why did you have to dip that Oreo in ketchup, I can never look at oreos the same way again now.
And why'd he put the ketchup on a paper towel???
I didn’t even notice that because I was depresed over the ketchup thing. Now i’m even more depresed.

Ayye lmao, destroy that man.
I had a dream either last night or I guess the night before last night or yesterday that I was using the Booyah Bomb but I was the only one Booyahing and I was just awkwardly stuck in the air

Not enough most likely 100 ink saver

Let the games begin.
I actually love the kensa dualies... I happen to always have the same gear: A pure swim speed, A pure of special charge up (it’s the toothpick) and a pure of bomb defense up DX... And I love the kensa dualies. I also like chargers
Same! I love playing Dualies and Chargers.
I mAiN tHe KeNsA sPlAtTeRsHoT pRo
I think it’s a pretty good weapon. It has a decent range and shoots straight (unlike most weapons), which suits my play style well. (I like rushing in and killing people.) I agree that the splat bomb is a very versatile sub, since it can move on the ground after throwing it to get a little more distance. It can keep people away from you or bring them closer. As for the booyah bomb, it doesn’t cover quite as much turf as I would like, but it’s useful for telling the other team “hey, don’t go over there!” And the booyah bomb looks FREAKIN AMAZING and boosts morale.
your editing has gotten sooooo good, like seriously!!! love every splatoon video you upload-- makes my lunch breaks wayyyy better
When is the kensa: brella, brush, and splatling cuz we need weapons that combine my fave stuff. Murder, murder, murder, and murder, did I mention murder?
Lol there's already a brush umbrella
@@Kid_Cat64 this was before 4.2.0
Dude, I super freshed foil flingza, but I totally agree with your gear picks for Kensa Dynamo
So far the Kenza dualies are my favourite weapons. The range is good, it has an amazing sub and the special just DOMINATES
2018: "wow why tenta missiles"
2021/22 competitive meta: "Tenta missiles and k52 forever"
Did anyone else get triggered when their teammates had fully charged booyah bomb but didn’t use it even when you and ur teammates booyahed several times as a reminder to use the booyah bomb
I’ve been using the Kensa charger since it came out.
I’m pretty bad, getting 2-7 kills on average.
I mostly use it ‘cause I’m bad at stingray and bad at splash wall.
Maybe consider trying the squiffer or a different weapon class?
Keep playing and practicing, you'll get better.
The most kills that i got is 9 XD using the E-litre 4k
Kensa shot is actually really good in clams, if you do this: get 9 clams exactly, locate the last clam near their basket, missile every one there , grab the clam, and throw it, if you can get teammates, you can win the whole game with one rush
I’m doing a whole “how to use splat/krak-on/kensa roller” and honestly idk which ones the better sub besides beakons and which special is better besides bubbles so yeah. You have given me the idea to do my own experiments with weapons
I look forward to seeing your results!!
The sa2 shadow tracks were a nice touch.
Good tips bro, thanks!
Okay, the booyah bombs neat and all, but I'm seriously excited for that pump hammer coming later. THAT looks fun.
If you can’t afford a washing machine
Buy a sloshing machine
Living for these Sonic Adventure 2 Battle OST.
FYI, the Foil Sqeezer and the Kensa Splat Roller have the same sub and special weapons.
I was on the verge but definitely going to start using the kensa pro
Maybe you should talk about the effectiveness of the weapons in rank mode?
I seldom play Blasters because they don't feel as rewarding to use, but Luna makes you work for it and it is satisfying to use the Kensa variant as it's not punching you in the gut (OG Luna isn't bad tho.)
Sloshing Machine and Splattershot Pro are close seconds.
If i had to give out advice as a trash charger main, its would be something like this:
-for the normal scopeless chargers (what i use most of the time) you have to remember the use of stored charge, if your going to move possition and you already charged a shot, dont release, use your stored charge and move to your desired area, only release when you have to (example: on grates, going up a high wall, yes thats all that comes to mind) but if you want to cancel a charge use your stored charge and release while still in squid/octo form (how do i explain shit?)
-when using a scoped charger, you dont have stored charge, but in exchange you have longer range and faster charge time, i wouldnt recommend this type of charger if you move around a lot and need to have a stored charge around, but if you can manage to mostly stay on the high-ground and be able to aim at your opponent then your all set and done (only use when you have decent aim or else your screwed 😏)
-now for the actual weapon your here for, kensa charger, i dont use it due to its kit, sprinkler is an awful sub for a charger, because it cant deflect enemy attack or really kill anyone, but its good for stages like goby arena and manta maria, where you can toss a sprinkler at a hard to reach areas where it wont be so easy for close range weapons to take down, and for longer ranged weapons it can distract them for a bit which gives you time to aim at them, given if you can reach or if theres nothing in the way like the box in the center of goby arena or the giant pillar in manta marina, on the other hand baller is a decent special, but it should be for last resort, IF your team is losing in turf, use it, IF your getting attack, use it, IF you need to push to the enemy team to dunk a clam, use it, again, its a last resort
-for shorter ranged weapons like squiffer (my main) and bamboozler, just keep these in mind: squiffer is a more frontliner weapon, with its short range and fast charge time, so your role should be offensive or flanker, depending on mode and your preffered playstyle, just make sure not to stay on the same place for the match and move sniper possitions, cuz your supposed to move foward and keep your enemies away from the objective, bamboozler, sure, its a trash weapon, but it has the fastest charge time, but takes 2 shots to kill, so make sure to practice with this weapon
So what did we learn?
Splat chargers have a decent kit you must use, scopes are hard to learn, kensa has a teribble kit yet you can do decently with it, squiffers are ment for frontliner chargers (i see a lot of people who use it like its got long range) and bamboozler sucks ass unless you yourself dont
I really dislike the play style for chargers - which is why the only one I actually use is the bamboozler. It’s a trash charger, but is slightly less trash if you don’t use it like a charger. (It is also very forgiving of my terrible aim).
Didn't expect to heard live and learn, but it's fitting for the booyah bomb.
Why everyone hate kenza ;-;
It is my favorite weapon brand
kensa
Gotta love how the kensa splattershot might be the most used kensa weapon in competitive play now, I think, it might be the kensa sloshing machine or the kensa pro tho
i still miss the ink strike ;-;
I'm really enjoying the Kensa Dualies and Kensa Splattershot
Booyah bomb can also be rewarding towards teammates, as sending booyahs can fill up a little bit of your special weapon gauge
Thank you for the compliment, as a dynamo/nozzlenose main... it can be hard at times... you just need patience
If you're stuck in the enemy's ink with the kensa dynamo you can use sprinkler as a quick way to get out of situations you can't do with the dynamo.
Being a dynamo main is just something you're born with
>use the Enperrys instead
My how times have changed
Getting the kills are so satisfying, espicially for chargers
pottop880 blasters... Aaaah
Tower Control is the one thing that the vanilla Splattershot does better than the Tentatek, but now the Kensa is better at doing that.
These are my favorite weapons because of the styles and the kits I really like them.
Bubble Blower is actually a front liner when used in CB you use it to protect yourself when making it to the clam basket
"The splattershot pro is a weapon that can do anything without doing everything"
Is that chaos I hear?
How the hell do you come up with these ratings
I want bubble blower with my dynamo. That would be hype. Maybe autobombs or suction bombs. That would be good for it right?
The Booyah Bomb is legit a Splatoon 1-level Special Weapon, in Splatoon 2.
That's going to be game-changing when more kits come out that use it!
Also this game's for children.
Why are the tenta missiles soooooooo underated?
The magic of friendship! No? Ok
I recommend the Kensa scope.
Trust me I have no idea how I became good at chargers.
Great choice in sound track. Also nice vid too.
Why is there no kensa dualies squelchers or kensa 96 gal? It seems a shame that not all weapons got a third variety
Welding the Dynamo is like swinging around a telephone poll as a munchkin
When do we get a Kensa weapon with both the fizz bomb and a booyah bomb, or other weapons with the fizz sub or booyah special?
Guys,i found a use for tenta missiles, but Booyah Bomb,Ink Storm, and Splashdown can do the same thing
For making opponents leave an area so you can continue inking it
It is really good in splat zones
"Charge with booyahs!"
"Unleash!"
The kensa dynamo roller is actually quite good. It’s the only non slayer I’ve ever maimed other than the jet squelcher
"I just think they're neat."
imo kensa dualies are really good if you know the properties of baller, like the fact you can run people over if they have enough damage, or you are indestructible after a certain amount of frames when destructing
I'M AN S+6 DYNAMO MAIN! HECK YEAH!
The booyah bomb is basically the Splatoon 2 equivalent to the inkstrike (my favorite Special in Splatoon 1)
the kensa splattershot section reminded me how much i miss the inkzooka.
I literally watched this video for Kensa .52 gal
thanks man
I got so interested in the gameplay i couldn't hear your voice anymore lol
nice vid! the kensa weapons are pretty good imo
Kensa dynamo roller is one of my most played weapons
In Spanish "Booyah" translates into "Genial" (Cool) and the Booyah-bomb it's called "Bomba genializante" which doesn't have a direct translation into English, it's like saying "cooler bomb"
