THE GRIZZCO SLOSHER IS THE BEST. ITS. SLOW. BUT. ITS THE ONLY WEAPON WICH IS ARMOR. PEARCING SHOOT. A STEEL HEAD. IN THE BODY. TALES DAMGE ITS A SALMANOID KILLING MACHINE
PRO TIP: Saving your specials get you bonus points after the match is done, don't WASTE IT AT THE END OF THE MATCH And also give your teamates your clams so they can form a supler clam, seriously.
GoldTrainRider Umm... Because flyfish are annoying as hell? Usually in salmon run I don't find much use for my specials, but when there are like 3 flyfish, you bet I'm going to sting ray them.
GoldTrainRider I understand, but if I'm on final wave with a sting ray, I'm usually going to use it on flyfish or the other sting ray things because I can only really activate sting ray when I'm not surrounded, and taking out the nuisances that are far away so we don't get cornered dealing with them is useful. Sure I could use it on other enemies, but personally I find them easier to deal with, so I save my sting ray for flyfish because they're usually in a hard position to reach if it's really chaotic.
Videogamer0615 The real agent 3 Yeah but in “Cohawk Runs” people instead of collecting gold eggs, they run towards the ink cannons and shoot the eggs instead!!
I once had max hazard level and AMAZING teammates. Finally it wasn't me who was carrying but everyone was doing about averiage. We cleared it and got over 100 eggs. It was amazing. After that I haven't seen good teammates. Literally there are C- players in professional and people who die 17 times during a match. Like what the fuck? I know you are 10 but you have to seriously try to die to die that much. I wish it was harder to get on professional.
As someone who doesn't really use chargers, the E-liter is THE best charger (excluding grizzco) for salmon run. It one shots steel eels, steal heads, and scrappers. One well placed shot to the tail will also send grillers spinning. Anyone half decent will be fine, and an asset, so long as their teammates don't suck ass. Anyone who actually does main chargers won't need good teammates as much, but we're going from the prospective of someone decent with all weapons.
As long as you aren't an idiot and go out and actually try to get up into fighting, you're ok with the e-liter as long as your teammates actually *protect you for once in their lives*
I respect your opinion, I really do. The fact that the E-litre can one shot pretty much anything from far away is really good and useful. And also since salmonids are slower and have larger hitboxes than inklings and octolings, this makes hitting your shots easier. As much as I respect your opinion, I disagree with it. The E-litre has very high ink consumption and very low mobility, it doesn't paint well and even if you stay out of reach of the salmonids, it's likely there's just going to be too many of them for you to deal with before they get too close, and when they do get too close, you're screwed. A good weapon in Salmon Run has to be able to consistently take down multiple fish at once, both large and small, has to be mobile and at least moderately fast. This is why the two best regular chargers in my opinion are the Squiffer and the Bamboozler. The Squiffer may have rather short range for a weapon you have to charge up, but it charges up quickly and charges uo equally quickly while in the air, this makes the Squiffer more mobile than other chargers. Bamboozler does not retain the piercing shots that every other charger has, but makes up for it by being really really fast and having kind of good painting power. Again, I do not agree with your opinion, but I respect it.
This is a really good and accurate list (you don’t see a lot of these) although the splatterscope and splat charger could have been placed a little higher I don’t wanna sound like one of those whiny e-liter mains you mentioned and I’m by no means a charger main but a charger does have a respectable use in salmon run if you always target steelheads, support your team with streams of ink, and revive teammates without getting to close to the danger yourself. That’s just my opinion anyway keep up the great content man!
This is the most inaccurate Salmon Run tier list I've seen. Range isn't as important as people think. The mist important thing is DPS because it helps control crowds.
There are times when I won't even bother playing unless there is a splat charger, scope or eliter available. The charger is not my main either, I just find them useful in sr even at the higher difficulties.
@@3-Gs When the glowflies come, just find a corner near the basket and let them run into your roller. You can stand there the full round, take out every salmonid, and not run out of ink. Assuming your teammates don't go running around and get themselves splatted for no reason, it's the only pure automatic win in Salmon Run.
@@8bitty192 They all one shot the smallfry, and most one shot the normal salmonids but Dynamo one shots everything except bosses rolling, and one taps a lot of the bosses if you swing it
I disagree with the Octobrush. It's only use is to run faster on the gates and save your teammates. It barely damages even the Chums. I'm no E-Liter main, but the E-Liter is WAY too low on this list when it should be higher. I would place it in the B-tier. It one-shots Scrappers, Steelheads, and Steel Eels on full charge, 2 shots Drizzlers on full charges, and exposes the Griller's weak points on the first full blast IMMEDIATELY. It also one shots Goldies in Zombie Salmonids mode (speaking from experience, not gaming science). Also, its range is EXTREMELY good in Mothership mode Yes, the E-Liter takes long to charge, but you SHOULDN'T be the only person trying to take out these Salmon creeps. Next, why are ALL the blasters so low on the list?? They take out Stingers. STINGERS!! You know the freaking campers that like to spawn at far away areas shooting lasers at the farthest teammate, slowly killing off your teammates one by one!?!? If there were any Boss Salmonid you needed to take out immediately, it's the Stinger!!
Octobrush isn't awful in Salmon Run, but it is outclassed by other frontliners. I agree about the E-Liter helping in Mothership mode as long as you make sure to watch out for Salmonids that come out of the crates you fail to destroy. I would say at least the Luna Blaster also deserves to be about as high as the Clash Blaster. It does have the same range as the Sploosh-o-Matic but has an extremely high hitbox. On the other hand Sploosh-o-Matic is lucky to be high on the list. It has a high fire rate and does a lot of damage for a shooter, but the range of a shot that has any chance of hitting is virtually nothing.
GoldTrainRider enjoy your missiles And death then. You kill them when they start to swarm. Of course you don’t waste it on just 1. But quite frankly you’re an idiot if you’ll let 2-3 flyfish stay alive.
Here are some PRO-TIPS from what I've observed personally: The swimming up the wall trick only works if other players are killing salmonids, as they'll start jumping to get to you after a certain amount of time has passed and will most certainly splat you if you're trying to avoid them this way by waiting out the clock as the only remaining player The Inkjet can take out flyfish when their bomb hatches are open, a shot to each hatch will take it out like a bomb would. It's a good way to take out multiple fly fish from a decent distance Using the sting ray to revive players on the other side of the map when you're the only person left if things are dire might give your team-mate enough time to do whatever work still needs to be done/survive until the clock runs down as all the salmonids that were targeting you are going to take a bit of time to get to the teammate you just revived In the low tide cannon missions, the cannons can take out flyfish with a shot to each bomb hatch like a bomb would when the hatches are open Using the sting ray on grillers if you find you're not killing them/getting eggs fast enough is a good way to turn a griller round on its' head and come out on top In the seeking goldie missions, if you have a splat roller/any type of roller and can get in front of the goldie's path to another sewer entrance, put the roller down and keep tapping forward, this will deplete its' health much quicker than most shots from weapons. This is also a good defense strategy for glowflies if you have the dynamo specifically If there's a Maws on a ledge below you, and you're on a ledge above and it's flashing to jump, you're NOT safe just because the circle isn't just under your feet If you have the attention of a scrapper and there's a team-mate close by, you can move to rotate its' rear to face that team-mate for a much easier kill. Killing scrappers with chargers is also fairly easy if they're not focused on you and have their rear facing you since you don't have to disable the vehicle to take it out
As someone who solo 999'd on all maps I strongly disagree with this tier list. S, A and B are kinda understandable except for Octobrush and Aerospray. Octobrush is by far the worst weapon in SR. it has pretty bad ink efficiency and no range. it took ages to kill almost any Boss. Aerospray is not a bad weapon but it has low short range. most C weapons are better than it. CDEF tiers make no sense. all weapons except for maybe carbon roller, inkbrush, undercover brella, h3, ranged, luna, dynamo and hydra deserve higher.
Fun fact: the standard brella actually does more dps than the grizzco brella, you can test this by using both to kill a drizzler (only the regular brella will kill it in one cycle). In retrospect I guess that fact isn't very fun at all. Also I disagreed with like half of your tier list but you like monster hunter so it balances out.
Another Pro Tip, on ruins of Arc Polaris, with glowflies, have the targeted person constantly jump on the ink rails, it works much like the wall but is better for that map
Quick tip: During the Salmon Rush (Glowflies) HAVE YOUR TEAMMATE'S BACK WHILE THEY'RE ON A WALL. It may seem like it's incredibly safe, but the bastards can climb if you leave them alone for to Long.
It's good for some things though. It's actually super good for the Cohock wave with the turrets because they can eliminate a large line of them at once if the turrets are trying to hit the boss salmonids. It makes the longest and widest line, and can eliminate most salmonids in two tap shots, Scoped chargers are awful though.
The one thing chargers are pretty good for in Salmon Run is inking. You can make paths to every spawn area and get across the map in 2-5 shots usually. Depending on the direction you're going.
Dynamo should be higher up. It's a blessing in Goldie seeking and can roll over cohocks, so it's pretty much the best for crowd control. But since it's limited in mobility it should be in the same tier or higher as the splat roller.
I DO AGREE. Same for chargers. Of course if there were only chargers and dynamos, that’s literally hell. they are not E(or less) tier but misunderstood imao
At least the e liter can one shot bosses. And it turns out I am not the only one who has discovered the pro tip of slaying the smallfries and then the grillers
Hydra Splatling is one of my favorite weapons because of its sheer damage output and range (and I'm also a Heavy semi-main in TF2) so I'm a bit biased here, but it is fairly viable in salmon run in certain scenarios. Your teammates have to be wielding much faster-firing weapons and have a lot more mobility than you, and they need to be willing to draw most if not all of the aggro from the salmonids (since you definitely won't be able to fight off a horde head-on with a hydra). When you have the Hydra splatling, play more defensively dealing damage from afar- especially on long-range bosses like Steelheads and Stingers and leave egg collecting to your more agile teammates who can afford to play aggressively.
Actually I've had more bad times using the h3 nozzlenose than the chargers, with chargers, I can just stay above ground and do nothing but the nozzlenose doesn't have good range, so you get out there kill a few dudes before getting swarmed
Dualie Squelchers saved my life multiple times. No joke. I was literally being corned by many salmons and bosses and all my team were dead and I just rolled the hell out of there and freed 1 or 2 of them
Dynamo can easily kill if you know how to use it. Also i love the Goo tuber. It can keep it's charge in ink for like 12 secs. And both of these weps work well with Splashdown and Stingray. (Also i main Dynamo, Goo tuber and Jet Squelcher)
I feel like the bamboozler is a good support weapon for doing things like ground coverage, its good for killing flying lunchboxes, I also find it useful for taking out the steel heads.
I have a tip for the enemies that are like the flooded (can't remember the name) if your by the edge of a area, and cornered, jump off as it will take the grizzco flooded enemy awhile to reach you, allowing you to escape, you can also use this to keep the flooded in a single area
To the people rewatching this video two years later: In my opinion, the E-liter shouldn't be anywhere near F tier, but for beginners who can't aim or play safe I see why it's there. What Astronaut didn't say about the E-Liters is that; Yes, they may be slow, but the E-Liter has the amazing quality of being able to One shot more than half of all Boss Salmonids (Drizzler is 50/50 of one hit K.O. Idk why) with a minor drawback of partially relying on teammates to kill lesser salmonids that get too close to you. Because the E-Liter is VERY dependent on the player's teammates to carry you when up close is why I wouldnt put it any higher above Astronaut's Mid D Tier. Goo Tuber? Yeah it's still trash. I mean, OK, you can store a charge, but the charge doesn't even piece through big boards nor does it kill Bosses to the strength that E-Liters can do. It's just a Vanilla Charger w/ longer save time and slightly more range 😤
My rankings F tier down in the pits of Tartarus Dynamo, hydra, e liter scope, range blaster, and ink brush D tier bad H 3, tenta, octo, bamboo, scope, carbon, goo C tier should show respect Squeeze, heavy, charger, squiffer, ballpoint, explosher, glooga, sploosh, blaster, Luna, rapid pro, e liter, aero spray, undercover B tier starting to attack mode Jr, mini, nautilus, rapid, roller, flingza, slosh, slosh machine, l 3 A tier attac mode Tri, all the other dualies, n zap, spatter, splash, splat pro, 96, jet, blob, brella, clash S tier noob weapons All grizzco
Stingray and inkjet are the best specials for celebrating after the final wave because you can make a laser light show and sqidbag in midair both of which are amazing
This list is pretty good, but I do have to make one small point: Dynamo may be bad in general, but it is excellent on Goldie hunting and taking out Cohocks. If you just put the roller out in front of the Goldie, it will give you a LOT of eggs.
I wouldn't put the grizzco weapons in SS tier, more S tier along with the squeltcher. This is due to the fast ink consumption and the fact that when one is in play it will increase the eggs required to win, as well these weapons mainly appear in completely random jobs, this could cause bad rng where your team requires 21 eggs to win but everyone else randomly got d or e tier weapons. As well a bad player could get it where it doesn't help anyone only making the round harder.
I'm just glad we finally got MHGU Now I want to go hunt Kushala... And this really helped, but the Gootuber is actually a pretty decent weapon for salmon run, allowing more mobility and lets you play a bit more aggressively
Pro tip if you trhow a bomb you can till win if you get killed and you are the last if you throw a bombs the game doesn't end until tge bomb explodes so you can revive some in or buy other 3 seconds
Rapid Blasters are good for when the motherships are around; they get at the baskets rather easily and efficiently. Dynamo Rollers are good for glowfish and goldie hunts (you can just spin in circles or have goldie hit at the roller)
The tetra dualies have a slightly longer range than the splat dualies and can also continue to fire while dodge-rolling which I think is enough to move them up to A tier.
I would have put the Dynamo above E tier. Although yes what you said about is true, they can instantly kill cohucks and Steelheads, it's godlike in glowflies/Goldie seeking, and it's saved me and my teammates asses just by steam rolling everything more times than I can count.
Honestly I was hoping you'd mention crippling Flyfish over killing them since killing them just causes more of them to spawn with full missile capacity but if you have 3 one baskets flying around (as opposed to 3 constantly rotating two basket) it gives you a little more room to breathe! I always get matched with people that follow me around and kill off my cripples but... completely ignore the stingers, somehow. >:( While there's definitely some trash weapons, I do find the Hydra can be quite powerful on Smokeyard if there's good enough clean up/turf weapons paired with it. Not having to cross the water to kill those stingers on high tide is very useful!
Ok i know i sound like a dynamo main (and i am but that doesnt matter) but like the dynamo is easily one of the best weapons for salmon run -Decimates bosses -Covers a huge amount of turf at once -Good range -Can pulverize a horde of weak opponents And if you are cornered you can use a splat bomb or just be with someone else
I know this video is pretty old now, but as of the release of the explosher, not only can you take distant target/revive far off team mate, you can also solo those annoying fly fish without even using splat bombs.
i think dynamo is pretty useful in SR because you can just roll over everything, plus its super useful for rush or gusher goldie seeking event - you can just cash out the goldie in 3 seconds
the entire lack of tenta brella here, other than its listing makes me want to give my opinions on it: the tenta brella i think should be in at least c, or possibly b tier. it's main weapon is a shotgun that can very easily regain map control and splat normal salmonids/boss salmonids. if you have actually good teammates for once, you can together crowd behind its incredible defense and easily bring eggs back to the basket. if there's one thing anyone at least mediocre player shoudl be able to do, it's launch the shield. launching the brella shield will plow through waves of normal salmonids, and is especially helpful taking care of the tiny ones during grillers, and whenever the salmonids are rushing you like in the rush mode. the only issues with it, however, are its large amount of ink consumption and low movement speed, which shouldnt be that much of a problem if you dont play to risky then again this is coming from a tenta brella expert (625+ wins) and from someone that rarely plays salmon run that much anymore
5:40 I'd have really appreciated an arrow or something pointing to the part of the screen I'm supposed to pay attention to, because it's really not obvious even when you put the clips next to each other. It took me forever to notice the waves changing height on the bottom of the screen.
I remember I got a special charger that instantly charge up by the time you press ZR, even faster than the bamboozler, it also have good range and attack power. I didn't know the weapon's name since I wasn't paying attention... I got that weapon as the question mark... It was an op weapon
So... I was playing salmon run Prof. 30, and hazard level was around 65.30. So it's not too hard. I don't normally use the l3 nozzlenose, but that's what I got that round. I also got the stingray. We come to the end of the round, were about double our quota of 10, and I was the last one alive. I get surrounded and my teammates are on the slope in front of me, but they are covered by samlonoids. So I set out a bomb, it does nothing. Then I start jumping. My thumb has a huge bone on the curve, and it does this thing where it applies just enough pressure to trigger a special. I pressed the wrong button, activating my stingray, and I couldn't save any teammates. I then died. I like to think I failed them that day.
5:42 What means high, low and normal tide? You didn't underline it or circle it and there are so many thing in the screen that I can't understand what is the indicator
I do disagree with some of the chargers being low tier (E-Liter and Bamboozler can stay right where they are). Getting a charger basically is giving you the role of boss destroyer. As you mentioned, they're great for dealing with Steelheads, but Scrappers, Steel Eels, and Drizzlers are all easily handled too. And the range helps with Mothership occurrences. ...Granted I'd only put them as high as D-tier since you have occurrences like Rush where you are basically useless since lining them up in a single shot isn't always likely.
Dynamo and tentabrella can be really good in rush with the Bella you can shield your teammates and kill salmonids with it and dynamo all you need to do is spin around
pro tip: if you have a roller during salmon rush, go to a spot with only one way in, slam that roller on the ground and stand there and watch those fishies pop.
I'm a few months late to finding this but dang this tier list is interesting because 1. I have the HARDEST time with blasters. Like, for my playstyle, they're like F Tier. Especially rapid blasters. Their damage output doesn't feel like it's enough against most bosses or cohocks even with its slightly faster fire rate. Plus, if you're trying to escape a deadly situation, good luck lol. That ink coverage is just garbage 2. Didn't think the inkbrush would be that low. I know it's not powerful but darn it if it ain't fast af. I just accept my role as designated egg fetcher when I get one and speed through everything. I don't waste time on Steelheads and it's so fun to just mash that button if I gotta fight. The octobrush's ink consumption and slightly slower speed just holds me back so much. 3. I don't main chargers at all and understand why they're low tier but I never really had much of a problem with them? Just stay back near the egg basket and don't go charge ahead into the fray. Occasionally change to a lesser populated area if things get hairy. But fuck scopes. Worst salmon run weapon. Being able to see what's around you is so essential in salmon run and scopes never really helped me aim so there's no benefit. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. Good vid!
PA-PA-PA-PRO TIP! Supposedly you can kill all the Salmon in glowflies with the dynamo by just standing still and holding ZR and they'll die when they run into the roller but I haven't had a chance to try this myself.
Grizzco Sniper is the only sniper in the higher tiers (A or S to be specific) and Grizzco Slosher, speaking from personal experience, should go in D tier. Just thought I would add these since they were probably added after this video or something.
honestly the I hate the bamboozler, but its damage output and ability to hit rows of targets it absolutely incredible in salmon run. Should definitely be higher
The only real use for chargers that I have seen in SR is taking out Steelheads and maybe the projectiles the Drizzlers launch from a distance. Other than those two specific situations, I'm better off with other weapons. Splat Charger is ok, but it's when crap like the Bamboozler or the scoped E-Liter is included that I dislike. That, and they're useless in Glowfly waves...
Yeah no, they're great in glowfly waves, they can take out a huuuuge line of them in one shot if you line up correctly. The other thing they're amazing at is support from a distance and reviving from across a map. E-Liters can also one shot multiple Cohocks at once so they're actually not useless Chargers are great for most of the special events. Grillers, Mothership, Glowflies (not as good as the first two, yes, but not useless at all, just learn how to cheese them when the flies are on you), and are definitely good against anything with goldies. Unfortunately they're hard to use in fog because you have to have even BETTER aim. They can shoot out a griller's tail in a single shot unless it's the bamboozler, but then the boozler actually has an advantage against the spinning tail phase because you can spam the shots against it. The only real issue is that smallfries will harass you terribly, so use your bombs right.
Right. Only being effective on certain, very specific situations is not that good that all IMO, not when other weapons with similar functions exist that can handle well in more situations. Nearly every other weapon type can take out waves of regular enemies faster and without having to rely on positioning as much as chargers do, and weapons like the Squelchers or the Heavy and Hydra Splatlings are just as good as fighting from a distance but with better turf coverage and faster ways to defeat enemies due to their auto-fire. Chargers are too slow when dealing with things like Glowflies or Goldies in Goldie-seeking waves, I can barely take 1 to 3 eggs before the Goldie hides or I'm already dead when one Goldie and a bunch of other Salmons rush at me and my teammates are somewhere else, while weapons with a faster rate and bigger spread can handle both of these no problem. They are also slow at dealing damage to the Mothership, which again other weapons do faster And the Splatlings can do more damage to all of the above with the same charge time and similar range as a charger (except the E-Liter). I do agree that they're good at stunning Grillers, but then when actually taking them out they do so little damage and take some time to charge that the Griller ends up chasing you or your teammate again before taking the last shot needed to splat them. That and they do a poor job at fighting against Smallfry without having to rely on Bombs (I also find it dumb that I have to rely on Bombs). I'm just not a fan of weapons that are extremely situational. IMO, Splatlings and Squelchers are better in SR when it comes to long ranged weapons.
To be fair, ive never really had an issue with the chargers. Then again, i am a charger main, so thats a bit biased. Especially with the E-liter. I main it, so I've always had quite a good bit of fun also using it in Salmon run.
I actually think that the Splat Chargers are really good! They can take down those guys when its Mothership, has good damage and take down Steelheads, which kill me most of the time. This Message came from a Charger main tho, sooooo
Pro-tip: The stingray is probably the best special to use in Salmon run. Perhaps only for the fact that it can literally kill any boss without waiting for the Flyfish to open, the Steelhead to charge, the Scrapper to rotate, the Steel Eel to get turned around, to get close to the Stinger, or the Drizzler to flip over. The one and only exception could be the Maws, which is the easiest boss to take down, by Splat bomb, people... Don't just try to shoot them when the snap at you or your teammates. Drizzlers are your worst nightmare. Please return the bubbles to them. They're like Ghasts in Minecraft.
Nothing seems like it's too out of place but I'd change the following: Jet Squelcher at A: While it can play safely and has not so bad fire rate and damage I feel like the DPS is too low for S. Splattershot Pro & .52 Gal at A: Both have above average range and good DPS. Aerospray at C: Aerospray lacks range damage and accuracy and the latter of them can't be useful like in Turf Wars. Sploosh-o-matic & Dapple Dualies at B: Both have insane ground mobility and DPS. Splash-o-matic at B: The weapon is a slightly worse & better version of N-Zap & Splattershot Jr. respectively. Carbon Roller at B: Just because it's the best weapon in Rush. Squeezer at D: Despite the ability to adapt to situations the DPS is very bad here. Mini Splatling at C: Its charge time isn't too bad while the range is still good. L/H-3 Nozzlenose & Rapid Blaster/Pro at C: All have decent range and damage to make up for the relatively bad fire rate. Range Blaster at E: It literally has the worst fire rate in the game and mobility is a weak point too. Dynamo Roller at D: It OHKOs every regular salmon just with the roll. Every Charger at E: They aren't that bad. While there are a lot of weapon that I'd change the changes are nothing more than one tier.
Most recebt salmon run has dynamo plus e-liter. I know people have been going to bat for e liter (amd i dom't dksagree) but 2 priority target weapons leaves the whole team royally screwed. We couldnt take out enough little boys out.
Hey, here's like a Part 2 video that talks about the weapons that didn't exist when I made this one
ua-cam.com/video/skmbGCzMIZo/v-deo.html
THE GRIZZCO SLOSHER IS THE BEST. ITS. SLOW. BUT. ITS THE ONLY WEAPON WICH IS ARMOR. PEARCING SHOOT. A STEEL HEAD. IN THE BODY. TALES DAMGE ITS A SALMANOID KILLING MACHINE
bro you good
IM SICKOF YO SHIT ABOUT SNIPERS BRO
Will you do a vid like this for splatoon 3?
For the people who don't know this yet: the explosher's projectiles work like splat bombs. This means that you can kill flyfish with the weapon
You sir, deserves more like from people who occasionally get the explosher. :D
Jamie Plant WAIT WHAT!?
Thx
This is news to me.. I'll keep this in mind
Oh ok then 🙃
PRO TIP: Saving your specials get you bonus points after the match is done, don't WASTE IT AT THE END OF THE MATCH
And also give your teamates your clams so they can form a supler clam, seriously.
This!!!! Give your claims to your team mates. 🤦🏽
Wait it does? For the specials I mean
Oh dear, have I been wasting specials all this time?
JV25
Same :(
Man I can’t believe I waste my specials for squid parties
PRO TIP : the sting ray can kill the flyfish
The sloshing machine and grizzco slosher can too.
Just a Random mimikyu ithink you mean the explosher
and the drizzler too
SSS Tier, good teammates
Fast Fact: Extremely rare to find...
C.Q. Cumber not in salmon, but in solo ranked, *YES* oddly in leagued pairs, people aren’t dumbasss
Videogamer0615 The real agent 3
Yeah but in “Cohawk Runs” people instead of collecting gold eggs, they run towards the ink cannons and shoot the eggs instead!!
C.Q. Cumber that’s not me
I once had max hazard level and AMAZING teammates.
As long as you aren't an idiot and go out and actually try to get up into fighting, you're ok with the e-liter as long as your teammates actually
*protect you for once in their lives*
Agreed.
The E-Liter 4K scope is just a discount Aimbot Rifle (TF2 Laser Rifle)
@@celestialTangle And this is coming from Professional rank so it is near impossible to actually survive

StickMaster500 hey how come you on every video mainstream non manstraim media anti media memes no memes
PRO TIP:
the dynamo is god tier in goldie seeking with the roll, and the e-liter can one-shot most bosses
Luis Rivera the Memelord it’s also really good in rush
Ching Hui Wong can be but you need to reload a lot and if they are after you mid-swing you are 3000 shades of dead.
Luis Rivera the Memelord that's why you roll with the dynamo in salmon run. Flicking is pretty useless. It's basically the opposite of any other mode.
Kylemsguy well yeah, i agree, but it makes ink management even harder on an already ink-hungry weapon
Luis Rivera the Memelord you slow roll which barely uses any ink but creates a wall that kills all the salmons
This is a really good and accurate list (you don’t see a lot of these) although the splatterscope and splat charger could have been placed a little higher
I don’t wanna sound like one of those whiny e-liter mains you mentioned and I’m by no means a charger main but a charger does have a respectable use in salmon run if you always target steelheads, support your team with streams of ink, and revive teammates without getting to close to the danger yourself.
@@blackcode08 because they can one shot most bosses, so it's making the ones with a charger a boss targeting player.

You can flatten 90% of salmonids with Dynamo. Makes glowflies literally the easiest thing ever.
Fun till you run low on ink
@@3-Gs When the glowflies come, just find a corner near the basket and let them run into your roller. You can stand there the full round, take out every salmonid, and not run out of ink. Assuming your teammates don't go running around and get themselves splatted for no reason, it's the only pure automatic win in Salmon Run.
@Jon Smith but when I do that I slightly take knockback making my teammates die which ends up getting wiped. Dynamo kinda suck
Um
Can’t all except carbon one shot anyway?
@@8bitty192 They all one shot the smallfry, and most one shot the normal salmonids but Dynamo one shots everything except bosses rolling, and one taps a lot of the bosses if you swing it
Salmon Run is the only mode when I'm good with chargers tbh.
Also, its range is EXTREMELY good in Mothership mode
Yes, the E-Liter takes long to charge, but you SHOULDN'T be the only person trying to take out these Salmon creeps.
The sting ray can also kill flyfish. It’s risky to use it on more than two but it can save the game.
GoldTrainRider enjoy your missiles And death then.
You kill them when they start to swarm. Of course you don’t waste it on just 1. But quite frankly you’re an idiot if you’ll let 2-3 flyfish stay alive.
@GoldTrainRider You're the kind of teammate that no one wants. You ALWAYS kill the flyfish

Pro tip: let your brella shield go in rush mode!!!!!
Here are some PRO-TIPS from what I've observed personally:
The swimming up the wall trick only works if other players are killing salmonids, as they'll start jumping to get to you after a certain amount of time has passed and will most certainly splat you if you're trying to avoid them this way by waiting out the clock as the only remaining player
The Inkjet can take out flyfish when their bomb hatches are open, a shot to each hatch will take it out like a bomb would. It's a good way to take out multiple fly fish from a decent distance
Using the sting ray to revive players on the other side of the map when you're the only person left if things are dire might give your team-mate enough time to do whatever work still needs to be done/survive until the clock runs down as all the salmonids that were targeting you are going to take a bit of time to get to the teammate you just revived
In the low tide cannon missions, the cannons can take out flyfish with a shot to each bomb hatch like a bomb would when the hatches are open
Using the sting ray on grillers if you find you're not killing them/getting eggs fast enough is a good way to turn a griller round on its' head and come out on top
In the seeking goldie missions, if you have a splat roller/any type of roller and can get in front of the goldie's path to another sewer entrance, put the roller down and keep tapping forward, this will deplete its' health much quicker than most shots from weapons. This is also a good defense strategy for glowflies if you have the dynamo specifically
If there's a Maws on a ledge below you, and you're on a ledge above and it's flashing to jump, you're NOT safe just because the circle isn't just under your feet
If you have the attention of a scrapper and there's a team-mate close by, you can move to rotate its' rear to face that team-mate for a much easier kill. Killing scrappers with chargers is also fairly easy if they're not focused on you and have their rear facing you since you don't have to disable the vehicle to take it out

I like how you can still hear the inklings squid-bagging in the background
Stingray to the stingers is essentially a big fat “no u”
When somebody gets their main weapon in salmon run: *Y E S*
Even though this is a subjective tier list, I 100% agree with all of it
No, it's objective and definitive!
Buddered I’d put tetras in A-tier, but otherwise 100% accurate
Fun fact: the standard brella actually does more dps than the grizzco brella, you can test this by using both to kill a drizzler (only the regular brella will kill it in one cycle).
In retrospect I guess that fact isn't very fun at all. Also I disagreed with like half of your tier list but you like monster hunter so it balances out.
Another Pro Tip, on ruins of Arc Polaris, with glowflies, have the targeted person constantly jump on the ink rails, it works much like the wall but is better for that map
Quick tip:
During the Salmon Rush (Glowflies) HAVE YOUR TEAMMATE'S BACK WHILE THEY'RE ON A WALL. It may seem like it's incredibly safe, but the bastards can climb if you leave them alone for to Long.
I’d put tenta brella at C due to the fact that it’s so satisfying mowing down enemies in the salmon rush event
I also love doing that alot!
Mowin down damn salmonids with one single frickin Bella launch!
Just found this channel and this is already the best splatoon guy on youtube
As an eliter main I can confirm it's actually really bad in salmon run, I'd have put it at E tier though. Best advice for using it is hope and pray.
Maxi H The Scope is even worse
Andres E. Gomez M. Agreed, it's unfortunate because I'm better with the scope but not being able to see as much is so detrimental
It's good for some things though. It's actually super good for the Cohock wave with the turrets because they can eliminate a large line of them at once if the turrets are trying to hit the boss salmonids. It makes the longest and widest line, and can eliminate most salmonids in two tap shots,
Scoped chargers are awful though.
Who needs a scope anyways? You can see all salmonids.
The jet squelcher actually is bad at short range due to killtime about 60 frames but amazing at long range 👌
I remember the one rotation where the four weapons were the Splat charger, splatterscope, e-liter and the splattershot jr. It was a train wreck.
Whoever thought it was okay to put the scoped Chargers in the Salmon Run weapon rotation can *rot* for all I care.
Pro Tip:
Never play with randoms.
EVER.

Actually I've had more bad times using the h3 nozzlenose than the chargers, with chargers, I can just stay above ground and do nothing but the nozzlenose doesn't have good range, so you get out there kill a few dudes before getting swarmed
PRO TIP: You know that Explosher weapon that came out in later versions?? Yeah, that kills Flyfishes. Aim at the launchers and REJOICE!!
This is the most helpful UA-cam channel for splatoon 2 that's not cringey 👍
Dualie Squelchers saved my life multiple times. No joke. I was literally being corned by many salmons and bosses and all my team were dead and I just rolled the hell out of there and freed 1 or 2 of them
Dynamo can easily kill if you know how to use it. Also i love the Goo tuber. It can keep it's charge in ink for like 12 secs. And both of these weps work well with Splashdown and Stingray. (Also i main Dynamo, Goo tuber and Jet Squelcher)
The dynamo roller is actually really good because you can run over cohocks and pre-damaged bosses for an easy one shot
reality: constantly getting splatted by smallfrys. especially during griller events.
_cries_
Stingray is good for grillers because the extra tails are actually inside the ride.
I feel like the bamboozler is a good support weapon for doing things like ground coverage, its good for killing flying lunchboxes, I also find it useful for taking out the steel heads.
Who else thinks that captain astronaut should do weekly or every other week live streams for splatoon 2 with fans

Me: those exist!?
Shadow Dragon hi! Yes we do exist (in salmon)
5:38 when he’s mentioning the difference between how to notice high, low, and normal tide, I can’t see a difference, can someone explain it too me
Hide tide takes up most of the map, meaning less room
Normal tide is well, it's the normal tide
Low tide is the shoreline event

While there's definitely some trash weapons, I do find the Hydra can be quite powerful on Smokeyard if there's good enough clean up/turf weapons paired with it. Not having to cross the water to kill those stingers on high tide is very useful!
Ok i know i sound like a dynamo main (and i am but that doesnt matter) but like the dynamo is easily one of the best weapons for salmon run
-Decimates bosses
-Covers a huge amount of turf at once
-Good range
-Can pulverize a horde of weak opponents
And if you are cornered you can use a splat bomb or just be with someone else
I know this video is pretty old now, but as of the release of the explosher, not only can you take distant target/revive far off team mate, you can also solo those annoying fly fish without even using splat bombs.
I'll like to update this a little. There is a grizzco charger. It most likely with the other grizzco weapons.
i think dynamo is pretty useful in SR because you can just roll over everything, plus its super useful for rush or gusher goldie seeking event - you can just cash out the goldie in 3 seconds
The Tenta Brella wipes enemies really well and I’ve found the Luna surprisingly helpful.
Also, I hate the Jet Squelcher in this mode.

the entire lack of tenta brella here, other than its listing makes me want to give my opinions on it:
the tenta brella i think should be in at least c, or possibly b tier. it's main weapon is a shotgun that can very easily regain map control and splat normal salmonids/boss salmonids. if you have actually good teammates for once, you can together crowd behind its incredible defense and easily bring eggs back to the basket. if there's one thing anyone at least mediocre player shoudl be able to do, it's launch the shield. launching the brella shield will plow through waves of normal salmonids, and is especially helpful taking care of the tiny ones during grillers, and whenever the salmonids are rushing you like in the rush mode. the only issues with it, however, are its large amount of ink consumption and low movement speed, which shouldnt be that much of a problem if you dont play to risky
then again this is coming from a tenta brella expert (625+ wins) and from someone that rarely plays salmon run that much anymore
I enjoyed this list and all of the Monster Hunter music.
The classic MH theme in the back really does it for me. Thankyou
Going on walls also works with grillers. Works best Lost Outpost of course but a lot of people don't know it
5:42 What means high, low and normal tide? You didn't underline it or circle it and there are so many thing in the screen that I can't understand what is the indicator
Pro-tip the explosher can kill the flyfish by shooting in the flyfish's buckets.
Hydra Splatling is actually extremely good if you know how to use it effectively

The dynamo roller is good in Goldie seeking because you can just sit in front of the Goldie and get about ten eggs a second.
pro tip: if you have a roller during salmon rush, go to a spot with only one way in, slam that roller on the ground and stand there and watch those fishies pop.
I'm a few months late to finding this but dang this tier list is interesting because
1. That ink coverage is just garbage
Just thought I would add these since they were probably added after this video or something.
great video! love that princess bride reference btw :p
honestly the I hate the bamboozler, but its damage output and ability to hit rows of targets it absolutely incredible in salmon run. Should definitely be higher
If they is a charger anywhere in the mix I have like a 75% chance to get one every single time (this counts for the mystery weapons too!)
Inkbrushes and Chargers are freaking useless in SR
Pssst
Chargers are actually mostly great in salmon run if you have good aim
But if you’re overwhelmed you’re screwed
The only real use for chargers that I have seen in SR is taking out Steelheads and maybe the projectiles the Drizzlers launch from a distance. Other than those two specific situations, I'm better off with other weapons. Splat Charger is ok, but it's when crap like the Bamboozler or the scoped E-Liter is included that I dislike.
That, and they're useless in Glowfly waves...
Yeah no, they're great in glowfly waves, they can take out a huuuuge line of them in one shot if you line up correctly. The other thing they're amazing at is support from a distance and reviving from across a map. E-Liters can also one shot multiple Cohocks at once so they're actually not useless
Chargers are great for most of the special events.
Inkbrush Is Decent 4 Defending YerSelf In SR (Salmon Rush).
The rewards system isn’t something I utilize. I just really understand how that stuff helps.
To be fair, ive never really had an issue with the chargers. Then again, i am a charger main, so thats a bit biased.
Especially with the E-liter. I main it, so I've always had quite a good bit of fun also using it in Salmon run.
Not charger main but they are good weapons stop bullying them
I actually think that the Splat Chargers are really good!
They can take down those guys when its Mothership, has good damage and take down Steelheads, which kill me most of the time.
This Message came from a Charger main tho, sooooo
I was tryna guess which weapon was in the S tier, I can’t believe I forgot about my main XD

How is the Splatterscope more accurate than Splat Charger? 6:28
Nothing seems like it's too out of place but I'd change the following:
Jet Squelcher at A: While it can play safely and has not so bad fire rate and damage I feel like the DPS is too low for S.
Not gonna lie I actually really like the Angry Rain Boots.
