That's grim. Should have been condemned and torn down years ago! I own a house stick built in 1950. The hardwood was covered by carpet which I despise, but I do have elderly dogs. I don't want the hardwood damaged by my dogs, so I've been agonizing over what to do with the flooring. Finally decided to have the carpet pulled and sheet vinyl installed. Not necessarily pretty, but it will make cleaning accidents easy AND protect the hardwood for a future owner. The house is small, but solid as a rock. No reason it wouldn't long outlast me!! Thanks for ya'lls content!
You are single-handedly giving this lot the best advertising money can buy - for free! Have any of their employees taken notice of what you’re doing for them? I’ve been a youtuber since 2007, and I’m enjoying this content more than anything I’ve ever come across! Seriously!
If done right, you can have a wood burning stove/heater in a mobile home. We did for years and years. This one - was not done right & probably not correctly cleaned out each season.
I know I kid around with you boys a lot, but you have my respect for turning these MH into something people can live in. My husband and I have done it ourselves, and it's not easy. Happy Thanksgiving!
That was a crazy layout of the right side of the house. That would take a lot of work to get that one back in shape! Love your videos!! Happy Thanksgiving to y'all!
Pretty crazy how people trash their mobile homes and give these types of homes a bad reputation. I grew up in a 1974 Horton Single wide and when I demolished it in 2007 it was in 20x better shape . It held up very well and still had it's original furnace and A/C unit that worked.
10:14, interesting how the illustration matches the way the frame of the trailer is built. 13:22, if those mirrors could talk, but I don’t think we would want to know what they would say, lol 19:40, why wouldn’t they put the hot water tank down by the kitchen where it’s needed the most or in that space next to the furnace. This house is a bit backwards. Can this trailer be saved??
The mobile home I am living in and my mother brought it brand new in the later 1980s, she got it from Clayton it is still a nice beautiful home. It is truly sad to see this mobile home yall are showing ruined. There shouldn't be any mobile home flooring built with OSB .
Yikes! That one is rough! 😫 As far as why they sell these things? Someone would buy it for the right price - maybe for a camp? Also, I've been watching your content for awhile and I love it! First time commenting, though. Keep it up! ❤
I don't have enough central heat or air. I currently use window units during the summer, what would you recommend i do to prevent window rot? Hope you all are having a wonderful day!
There's no reason Why these mobile homes aren't built with 2x4 walls, and you are not adding enough weight to even make a difference, even if the whole thing had 2x4 structure 1000 pounds is no big deal, Donnie as many of these home's you buy Spend 3500 go buy a used Band saw mill and cut everything you Need to fix them, I,m sure you have a ton of tree's on these Property's, You 2 would save so much money. You can make all your trim wall studs header beams, baseboards Hell You can make some Beautiful wide board flooring. think about it, 1 day your Carpenters can mill everything needed, in 1 day.
If you take care of them they last as long as a stick built home. These are homes people didn’t take care of. By the way what was all the spider webs about? This is just nasty
I'm not against them but they absolutely don't last as long as a stick built home.these things are built more like a camper than stick built home. I'd rather live in a small trailer than my house (I only need a small bedroom, kitchen and bathroom honestly. ) I'd rather have shop space to work in or land.
I have a question about, I see people remodeling their mobile homes all the time. Usually bringing them up to code standards instead of HUD. Is it worth it?

Good afternoon you two! Yay another video! Good explanation of what the window AC units do to the home!
Thanks
I live in a oakwood and love it mine is over 30 years we spent 30 thousand this year and it is still nice
They will last a long time if you take care of them

Just to check I'm understanding you correctly, you aren't affiliated with the home sales company in any way, shape, or form? 😊😊😊 love the videos!!!
Nope not affiliated you wouldn’t believe how many times I get somebody asking me how much one of these things cost I don’t know
@@mybrotherdonnieI'm not affiliated with them either and anyway shape or form so we have that in common lol love the content yall

All it takes is a little bit of tender, loving care, and I wouldn’t tear up but I don’t know how to do that

Unbelievable how some people can live like that
Yep
@@mybrotherdonnie I used to sell used and new mobile homes but I never have seen one that bad! Pigs must have lived there!

Yep
Love your videos there at the dealer!
Thanks and thanks for watching
At one time this was really nice, may 2024😱😱 not ,love that lay out, you could use the laundry + pantry
Yep
The use of unvented kerosene heaters can cause the soot on the wall
Thanks

Put a bigger central unit in
@mybrotherdonnie , sorry that didn't type right. I don't have a central heat and air unit. Just window units.
Id offer them 1k and a case of beer lol
That would be a pretty good deal
That soot can also be a kerosene heater with bad wick
Ok
Not anything that you two can't handle...if you get it 🎉
Thanks
Oof poor home has been through it!
Yes, it has
Brown chicken, brown cow….omg…I laughed out loud
I’m glad you got a laugh
There doesn't seem to be a hole in the wall or ceiling for a pipe, I would have to assume They used a Kerosene heater.
Very possible
Toilets sweat bad without ac.
I wonder if it was a rental
I don’t know
This one was a real screw up from day one! Bad design.😢😊
Yep
My trailer is basically the same model as this one and the extra closet is supposed to be the hall closet.
Ok thanks

I have a few set up on pieces of land that i Rent, so yes, I believe it’s worth the time and effort
👋🏽 Hello
Do you have any land for sale? Thank you
@@genevarockwell5279 I have one lot in town $25,000
Get it to the landfill!!
Stay tuned
Seriously that trailer camt be worth more than $4.000 thousand dollars
That’s the same thing I’m thinking
A kerosene heater will do that to the walls.
Ok
Husband and wife closet that's why
Ok
