Your first velcro roller video was the first video of yours I ever watched. I watched it about 2 years ago and I was hooked!!! I have been watching your videos ever since! You are my favorite beauty guru! Thanks for the videos!!! You are such an inspiration! :)

Beautiful hair! I tried this look along with a blue eye shadow tutorial technique you posted a while back all to accomplish my look for this evening and I loved the way it turned out! Thank you so much for your detailed tips and tricks! As always your videos just brighten my day! :)

Perfect timing for me! I can't wait to try your method. I've grown my hair out and recently finally started trying to style and wear it down. I tried my velcro rollers over the weekend, I did get a little volume, but nada for curls. My long hair seems to weigh a lot! I bought a curling wand tonight so I'm anxious to give that a whirl!

Looks gorgeous! I have actually been doing this since your first velcro roller tutorial and I get compliments all of the time about how well it stays. Please do a tutorial on your hair from the 10/14/12 video. Your hair was so soft and lively looking. I would love to do that for a holiday party!

Thanks so much Emily! I always do six Velcro rollers after I blow dry my hair with a round brush and let them set while I do my makeup but I never thought to do this with curls! Can't wait to try this!

i love both- it's just a matter of what you want out of the style. I have a hot roller set that consists of smaller rollers and gives me more curl all over. However these really large velcro rollers give more volume, and I find that to be the case even compared to large hot rollers. The combo of the heat, the velcro roller, and the hairspray are really a great combo if you want body! :)

This is actually what I do because I had modified your first version of this but I find it hard to blend the larger curls with the smaller ones.. I am a big perfectionist and I find that sometimes it doesn't look natural to have those two sets of curls ! But you rocked it :)!

I'm going to keep trying however, I loooooove this hairstyle with the rollers, it is so super ultra glam! Thank you so much for your video!

Hi Emily, loved the video! Do you have any advice (or could make a video) on how to fix the hair after the wind/rain, when we have a hair styled like this (or just fixing hair in general). I always end up with frizzy, messy, knotty, wet and gross hair in the winter time (when it's stormy) and I don't know what do to "on the go" to fix it! Your help would be much appreciated!

  • @sicilianbeauty13

Hey Emily, great look. Those clips you were using are called pin curl clips. They work well, but you should try roller clips. They have like a sort of slot where the roller slips into. They keep rollers more secure.

Plus it shrunk up so much it looks short but when I wash it in the shower it is nearly half way down my back.. it shrinks up to above my shoulders! lol In a couple weeks it will relax enough. cheri :)

Hi, I love your videos! I have been wondering for a long time, what is the difference between clipless curling iron and those without a clip? It seems most people on youtube prefer clipless ones, is it because those with a clip might cause a small crease on your hair where the clip holds on to your hair? thanks

  • @iluv2worship
    @iluv2worship 12 років тому

Yes, referring to the pin curl clips. In the sixties, my aunt had a beauty salon in her home and she called them clippies. ☺

Emily, I don't quite remember the name of the specific product unfortunately, but I know Conair makes one... could you review those roundbrush and blowdrier hair tools in one? It's supposed to give amazing volume like a roundbrush or rollers but also dry your hair! thanks!

One of the bennifits for using velcro rollers is the non-heat styling...better for hair. They don't work for me tho. I have a Caruso steam roller set and those lock in the curl and boy well for me. An the bennifit is they don't burn up and dry up my hair. I can go two days with one setting. You have very pretty, healthy hair. I've been on a 'healthy hair' journey an it's working well. Less shampooing, less products, less heat tools =faster growing , shiny hair. For me anyway. Have a great week!

I have curly medium thick hair and it down under my shoulder blades. For the past 10 yrs after I wash and condition my hair I apply leave in conditioner and roll all my hair using medium and small size velcro roller and allow it air dry for 30-50 min.If in a hurry I use a old style hair bonnet that can be connected to hair dryer and use it a medium heat for 10-15 min. Result: soft wavy hair and end that curlers in lasting for 3 days. Similar to old Hollywood style and super shiny hair

Would you please make a video where you show the "cut" you have had done? I'd love to see that! It's hard to tell how long the bangs are, if it is a layered cut, etc. I don't want to have it "cut" from "guessing" and have it be too short! lol This is the first "cut" I have seen in a long time that I like well enough to have it done! :) Thanks:)

i notice you curl your hair with the iron totally differently than other beauty specialists do. they wrap hair around rod and the ends are last to hit the heat... your way shows the ends being heated for longest amount of time from the start of rolling. is there a reason to do it this way even though the ends will burn quicker?
