Your first velcro roller video was the first video of yours I ever watched. I watched it about 2 years ago and I was hooked!!! I have been watching your videos ever since! You are my favorite beauty guru! Thanks for the videos!!! You are such an inspiration! :)
Beautiful hair! I tried this look along with a blue eye shadow tutorial technique you posted a while back all to accomplish my look for this evening and I loved the way it turned out! Thank you so much for your detailed tips and tricks! As always your videos just brighten my day! :)
Perfect timing for me! I can't wait to try your method. I've grown my hair out and recently finally started trying to style and wear it down. I tried my velcro rollers over the weekend, I did get a little volume, but nada for curls. My long hair seems to weigh a lot! I bought a curling wand tonight so I'm anxious to give that a whirl!
Looks gorgeous! I have actually been doing this since your first velcro roller tutorial and I get compliments all of the time about how well it stays. Please do a tutorial on your hair from the 10/14/12 video. Your hair was so soft and lively looking. I would love to do that for a holiday party!
Thanks so much Emily! I always do six Velcro rollers after I blow dry my hair with a round brush and let them set while I do my makeup but I never thought to do this with curls! Can't wait to try this!
i love both- it's just a matter of what you want out of the style. I have a hot roller set that consists of smaller rollers and gives me more curl all over. However these really large velcro rollers give more volume, and I find that to be the case even compared to large hot rollers. The combo of the heat, the velcro roller, and the hairspray are really a great combo if you want body! :)
This is actually what I do because I had modified your first version of this but I find it hard to blend the larger curls with the smaller ones.. I am a big perfectionist and I find that sometimes it doesn't look natural to have those two sets of curls ! But you rocked it :)!
this video gave me hope, because by the time I finish curling my hair, the parts of hair I began with begin to lose the curl.... I will definitely try what you did! thanks :)
Yet another AMAZING tutorial! Emily, you had me drool all over when I saw your curls... I can never curl my hair like that... maybe I didn't get the hang of it, maybe I have the wrong curling iron, I don't know... I'm going to keep trying however, I loooooove this hairstyle with the rollers, it is so super ultra glam! Thank you so much for your video!
Hi, Emily, I have the same hair color, length and texture. This tutorial is wonderful and is my go to! A quick question, do you have to wash your hair everyday? Do you use dry shampoo and if you do is there a brand that you prefer? Thanks so much!
I do this all the time after watching your first video way back when and I thought "Wow, what a good idea!" Now it's my favorite way to style my hair! Thank you Emily :)
When you do this hairstyle for work, do you shower and blow-dry first? You should do a "get ready with me" video for your morning routine!! And roughly how long it takes. You always look so amazing in your instagram pics from work!
Thanks so much for the tutorial it's very easy to do. I wanted to ask you what time of hair products do you use? your hair looks so healthy I've been having so many issues with dry hair! Thanks again.. Carmen (Australia)
Hi Emily, loved the video! Do you have any advice (or could make a video) on how to fix the hair after the wind/rain, when we have a hair styled like this (or just fixing hair in general). I always end up with frizzy, messy, knotty, wet and gross hair in the winter time (when it's stormy) and I don't know what do to "on the go" to fix it! Your help would be much appreciated!
Hey Emily, great look. Those clips you were using are called pin curl clips. They work well, but you should try roller clips. They have like a sort of slot where the roller slips into. They keep rollers more secure.
Awesome, I started using the Velcro rollers after your first tutorial the only problem I had was the longest part of my hair was going straight mid-day so this solves the problem...thanks !!!!
i tried the velcro ones in my girls hair emily... & they got stuck. it was my first time so this video is wonderful for me. thanx so much, you read my mind! Your videos ARE THE BEST! :) :D
wow i cant wait to try this if u dont have a curling iron can you just use the velcro rollers with damp hair and then blow dry them until they dry? what size rollers are they?
I am so very going to try this! I hv the same type of hair as u, so straight that I need to perm it twice for the curls to stay permanently, but risk damaging my hair, thanks for the tip!
You have beautiful hair Emily! I have always love it! I just got my hair done this weekend and it is at that awful laugh at it stage. I get perms and its super curly! Plus it shrunk up so much it looks short but when I wash it in the shower it is nearly half way down my back.. it shrinks up to above my shoulders! lol In a couple weeks it will relax enough. cheri :)
OMG I was just at Walgreens and I was walking down the aisle and I saw you! You were on the end-cap on a Wet N Wild display!! YAY it was so awesome, I'm standing there thinking I know her, that's Emily. It was a display with a bunch of UA-cam beauty gurus, how awesome is that? Way to go ladies:)
You make it look so easy, going to give it a try tomorrow morning. I love watching all your videos!! Could you do a video on skin care try this not that
I must try this look out sometime, usually when I curl my hair i sleep with sponge rollers then go over each curl with a curling iron as I remove each roller, so I think this may be easier
Hi, I love your videos! I have been wondering for a long time, what is the difference between clipless curling iron and those without a clip? It seems most people on youtube prefer clipless ones, is it because those with a clip might cause a small crease on your hair where the clip holds on to your hair? thanks
Emily, I don't quite remember the name of the specific product unfortunately, but I know Conair makes one... could you review those roundbrush and blowdrier hair tools in one? It's supposed to give amazing volume like a roundbrush or rollers but also dry your hair! thanks!
One of the bennifits for using velcro rollers is the non-heat styling...better for hair. They don't work for me tho. I have a Caruso steam roller set and those lock in the curl and boy well for me. An the bennifit is they don't burn up and dry up my hair. I can go two days with one setting. You have very pretty, healthy hair. I've been on a 'healthy hair' journey an it's working well. Less shampooing, less products, less heat tools =faster growing , shiny hair. For me anyway. Have a great week!
Are you over her on the east coast? NH's getting hit right now, the window is howling outside my window... hoping that the power doesn't go out and that there's no significant damage.
I have curly medium thick hair and it down under my shoulder blades. For the past 10 yrs after I wash and condition my hair I apply leave in conditioner and roll all my hair using medium and small size velcro roller and allow it air dry for 30-50 min.If in a hurry I use a old style hair bonnet that can be connected to hair dryer and use it a medium heat for 10-15 min. Result: soft wavy hair and end that curlers in lasting for 3 days. Similar to old Hollywood style and super shiny hair
Would you please make a video where you show the "cut" you have had done? I'd love to see that! It's hard to tell how long the bangs are, if it is a layered cut, etc. I don't want to have it "cut" from "guessing" and have it be too short! lol This is the first "cut" I have seen in a long time that I like well enough to have it done! :) Thanks:)
i notice you curl your hair with the iron totally differently than other beauty specialists do. they wrap hair around rod and the ends are last to hit the heat... your way shows the ends being heated for longest amount of time from the start of rolling. is there a reason to do it this way even though the ends will burn quicker?
Lol!!! I remember going to beautyshop with my mom with a lot of old ladies(actually they were probably my age now 41) and them using a comb like that and teasing the heck out of their hair!! Haven't seen a comb like that in years!!! Brought back good memories!!
I have been looking for you on the wet N wild display...i've looked at two different walgreens and cannot find the display will it be put out nationwide? I live in Oklahoma. I have been a follower for years would love to see you on the display.

Gorgeous! I have tried using Velcro rollers a few times and it was a complete fail. Can't wait to try this way out!!
yes i will! i had some trial & error with it at first
this is awesome! I will be trying this sometime once my hair gets a little bit longer. I love how it turned out, gorgeous!
This is my ideal day-to-day hairstyle, but I never have any luck with staying power. Definitely going to have to give this a go! So excited!
Thanks so much Emily! I always do six Velcro rollers after I blow dry my hair with a round brush and let them set while I do my makeup but I never thought to do this with curls! Can't wait to try this!
yay! i needed a new video to help my boredom from being shut in by the hurricane. thanks emily! and i hope everyone is staying safe!!!

Great idea. I love this hair look. And I love your hair! They look healthy and shiny and they grow up super quickly!!!
This is actually what I do because I had modified your first version of this but I find it hard to blend the larger curls with the smaller ones.. I am a big perfectionist and I find that sometimes it doesn't look natural to have those two sets of curls ! But you rocked it :)!

I didn't know you had hair segments! I'm going to watch them all now. Thanks.
I'm dying to try WEN!! Thank you so much for showing us how you curl ur hair with velcro rollers..I've been wanting to try them! :)

Emily! Your hair so SHINY!!! I LOVE IT! What products did you use to make it shiny? Thank you
This is great :-D I first found you on UA-cam from your original velcro roller tutorial! Loved you ever since!
You have such beautiful hair, I almost want to grow my hair long again. And thank you for some great tips to do velcro rollers.
I would never do this, but your voice is just so soothing

Beautiful! I have naturally curly hair (ringlet style) that is prone to frizz and dryness.
hi emily!
Perfect timing! I just bought a curling iron today. Thank you, Emily!! :D
beautiful! this might be a dumb question, but does teasing your hair lead to tangles & breakages? i was always afraid to do it...
LOVE this tutorial so much!! Thank you! You are beautiful Emily. Your hair is gorgeous. Thanks for explaining everything so well.
MAN! I love watching your videos! I feel like you're so down to earth!
this is so pretty emily!! like mandi said, crazy storm and I have been watching your videos to keep me company :D

I love the Tressmae hair spray it is soooo amazing!!
I must try this look out sometime, usually when I curl my hair i sleep with sponge rollers then go over each curl with a curling iron as I remove each roller, so I think this may be easier

Yes, referring to the pin curl clips. In the sixties, my aunt had a beauty salon in her home and she called them clippies. ☺
Why do you prefer these to heat rollers? Looks beautiful!
Emily, I don't quite remember the name of the specific product unfortunately, but I know Conair makes one... could you review those roundbrush and blowdrier hair tools in one? It's supposed to give amazing volume like a roundbrush or rollers but also dry your hair! thanks!
Wonderful tutorial!! Perfect because I just bought a new curling iron
Your hair is so silky and shiny! Hair care video?

Thanks for doing a video today, helps take my mind off of the hurricane conditions here today.
Are you over her on the east coast? NH's getting hit right now, the window is howling outside my window... hoping that the power doesn't go out and that there's no significant damage.
This is great! Coincidence since I just watched your first Velcro Roller video a couple days ago!
I wish I had as much hair as you do!! It looks great!
Your hair is so beautiful!!!
Love this look! Definitely what I'd like out of a curled hairstyle! Thanks, Emily :)

Fabulous video. I don't have long hair but your tips will help with better curl for my short hair.
:) Thanks:)
love your musical choices Em-always!
do you have naturaly curly hair or really straight,i love this hairtutorial=)
You should really consider trying the Suave Touchable Finish hairspray - so cheap and awesome.
can u please do a video on hair products for dry and damaged hair?
I like this look! However, I am wondering if you like velcro rollers or hot rollers better? I've been thinking about getting the latter =)
Can you please do a video on which hot rollers if any you've tried and which you like
do you ever use these without heat first? like overnight or something? if so, does the curl stay in place well?
your hair is so shinnnyyy
The storm is wicked here right now but I'm trying to keep myself calm! This video is helping! haha
i notice you curl your hair with the iron totally differently than other beauty specialists do. they wrap hair around rod and the ends are last to hit the heat... your way shows the ends being heated for longest amount of time from the start of rolling. is there a reason to do it this way even though the ends will burn quicker?
Really pretty! I'm going to buy some Velcro rollers and try it out :) thanks!!
You have the most beautiful shiny brown hair!!!! So healthy looking :)
Hey Emily, have a suggestion for you, try placing a 3rd roller at the crown of your head for added volume back there....thanks for this video...Tammy
