Oh definitely. While there will still be tryhards, most people aren't going to be too upset at others being sub-optimal simply because you're guaranteed to fail and lose everything sooner or later anyway so it doesn't matter - you still get to have fun.
@mrfancyshmancy not necessarily true. He says they will have to step it up as soon as these games released. But when they do he will be quiting.
You forgot to mention the absolute cinematic horror it can turn into in a matter of seconds. Like one time I was getting stuff back to the ship on the blizzard map, and then I saw my friend's stuff all in a pile, the blood stain underneath it all, and then I go quiet and slowly turn around to see the blind dog staring at me, and then I die
With ya mentioning that, the monster AI in this game is crazy like I've seen a time where a monster was just chilling behind a person and their friend was trying to inform them of it just standing behind them like dat but as soon as the person turned around it started to move like shit was hilarious.
My first match of lethal company was with a group of 3 other friends. I knew nothing about the game but once we got into the facility I remember seeing my friend getting dragged into the darkness, Another one shot by a turret, and I stepped on a landmine. I can still hear the screams from that match... 10/10 would die again.
Something i want to highlight: The game likes to give you and those around you the opportunity to react. When you get grabbed by a giant you don't just die instantly, you get multiple seconds to audible react and are encouraged to do so for the sake of entertainment. When you come accross that turret, everyone will hear that thing go off and either expect to laugh at your dead corpse, or that you return to them shaken.
I think my favourite thing like this is how the mic doesn’t cut off immediately for a bracken, so everyone gets to hear the cut off horrified scream of their teammate before they get dragged into oblivion 😂
To me, Lethal company is an entirely different beast on solo because you have no one to fall back on for high-anxiety situations and even the ambience of being inside for a prolonged period of time can make your heart race with fear
it should be a wake-up call for the big companies, but they make so much money off cosmetics that cost more than lethal or palworld they're not gonna stop
I love the proximity chat so much. Just hearing the screams and laughter in the distance always makes me laugh. And after hearing a turrent shooting, I always call out to see if the other person is okay. Any response (or lack of) is usually the answer you're looking for. The AAA industry should be taking notes from this game (but we know they won't)
As soon as I saw the part about buying stuff on the terminal I IMMEDIATELY remembered when I was playing with friends and one of them bought 37 different stun grenades because they were “on sale.” Such a legendary game.

Allot of pc games used to be like this, early modded counterstrike servers and sandbox mmo's were amazingly fun and games can be amazing fun when they are designed to be fun and not "competitive" or focused on "content loops" and microtransactions.
Yes! I had a ton of fun on CS Source mod servers with flying levels. Just a ton of people hanging out trying to figure out how to ‘fly/skate/wall ride’ down these near endless levels. Was pretty relaxing. A nice break from the boom headshot grind.

As an aspiring developer seeing and learning all of these techniques to use in this video (as well as what not to use from other videos) is incredibly eye opening! Thank you so much Circle, for making your UA-cam videos informative, entertaining, and of the highest quality
Tbf afaik the palworld creators threw together a fckton of different styles and ideas with little stuff made from scratch, but the combination seems to work surprisingly well and funny from what I've seen. I'll only get to playing it myself once my exams are over, or help me got I know I won't learn a darn hour xD
@@nickkohlmannthat's correct. It's easy to copy ideas from here and there but to make it successful in combining all ideas to make a good game is not easy.
Lethal Company is so popular because it does one major thing different from a lot of AAA games. To put it simply, it's just fun to play, like a game should be.
The comment of the players making lethal company what it is is so true. I’ve had several moments with my buddies that we just couldn’t stop talking about and started to become part of the group’s “lore” in a way. Like one time one of my friends rushed into the building first, and when I entered right behind him, I found out that the game had randomly generated a mine right at the foot of the entrance, so he got instantly killed. One of the funniest moments of my entire experience
I just see this game as a Horror Sci-fi Comedy. unlike most multi-player , probably the best example is the Arachnophobia Mode settings that is there in case you have a fear of spiders. instead of yeeting the spider internally they make the spider a Literal Word Spider in red word/text while still keeping the hissing noise. not only dose this help with those who have that problem but also allows it to be funny , with is something I notice with players of lethal company. unlike most multiplayer horror games that take them selves too seriously, this is not only a horrific experience but also allowed to be hilarious as well as also the other best things about it like allowing people to mod the game to add even more comedy in it. at least that is my take and argument for why this is a Sci-fi Horror comedy game, I could be wrong though.
Love seeing people break down what makes certain games so fun! Literally just made a video about Lethal Company talking about why I think it works so well with friends, so it's cool to see a creator I really respect being on the same wavelength for stuff like proximity chat and the games virality factoring in to it's success
The game is just the perfect blend of horror and hilarity! So many horror comedy shenanigans that ensues from both players and the RNG of monsters/traps
One of my favourite things in Lethal Company was when we were playing with the VR mod and found out that you can totally do shadow puppets with the flaslights.
I did not expect to find a vintage image of Country Bear Jamboree's Big Al being used as a shield in the middle of a sponsorship in the middle of an animated essay about a co-op horror-comedy game today.
@@charliemacsart Hahaha this is my first video of Circle but it was a delight to see Big Al. I adore Country Bear Jamboree, so I love the reference! :D
8:54 added note if you have an item like a horn or in my case a modded yippee, it can make a silent crewmate absolutely hilarious especially when they are frantically trying to lead a crewmate with a snare flea to the exit so they don’t die.
I am really amazed at how fun this game is, for how stupid simple it is with graphics, animations, and objectives. IT says something when I really want to watch everyone's perspective of the same sessions, such as Mark, Bob, and Wade (Markiplier, LordMinion777 and Muyskerm), which is something I don't normally do, as seeing what goes on in same gaming session with others in it is more then enough for me, as watching someone else's perspective just isn't interesting really, but for this game specifically, it is, and I am not 100% sure why. I have only played the game with one other friend, and even though it was maybe an hour long session of using the in game chat, it was still super fun, and even while playing alone I do find myself having a decent time. This game stands out in the gaming community and will likely be on my top 10 favorite games for a really long time.
I think what makes everyone's perspectives so interesting is because everyone's going through and seeing different things. Like say, one guy is busy just chilling, 2 are sitting in the ship getting distracted and debating dumb shit, and the fourth is running for his life inside the facility, all at the same time. Most multiplayer games just have you stick together or doing the same thing as the other (like in a competitive game) so the changed perspective doesn't really change what you're seeing. But in Lethal Company, what is happening to each person is wildly different, especially when you guys get split up. Even funnier is that, you see things the player themself doesn't (like a Bracken sneaking up on them or a Lootbug running in the background with a valuable piece of loot). The whole thing is so lively, chaotic, and entertaining.
Dude this is the best and most entertaining video that I can send to people who don't play this game that actually gives an accurate description of the gameplay
I remember a run I did with my friends, going through the emergency exit that can usually be accessed via jumping on that large pipeline before the ship lands. I go in, and SURPRISE! A flippin’ mine!
Plus the game seems to have an incredible inherent sense of of comedic timing. All the enemies and actions that can occur in a map all feel *just* perfectly timed out to maximize the humour of any given moment.
i dont know if you remember but 6 years ago on facebook you did those random pokemon drawing tutorials and i would always comment about drawing weedle and eventually you rolled weedle on the random wheel and i was so excited and i randomly remembered it and decided to check how you were doing and im happy to see how big your channel has become :D

One of the funniest things to me is how you just cut out when you die. No notification like most games. It can be funny, but also terrifying -- and I love messing with people I play with by going quiet, but only sometimes. It makes them question juuuust a little bit if they're actually alone.
Your comments about more loot leading to more weight on return just made me realize that Lethal company is the spiritual successor to Octopus from Game and Watch Gallery 4. Great video, bracken neck snaps are peak comedy.
The perfect balance of comedy and horror. You start scared, learn how to survive, git good, and then get humbled and scared again. That's lethal company.
"revolutionary VoIP" Arma modders who've had those features since 2016, as a mod to a game made in 2013, muffled because someone put a bag over their head while they were in the arsenal: am I a joke to you
The skinwalker mod changed the genre of the game from “whatever the hell you and three other idiots want it to be” into a horror movie The skinwalker mod takes voice clips of players randomly and will randomly select someone to imitate for each player. This means that all players will hear one of their crew mates where they shouldn’t be. There’s also add-ons for this mod that allow the masked player monsters to mimic the appearance of other crew members by removing their mask and zombie arms. I have seen what this mod combo is capable of and it is nothing short of absolute pandemonium. Imagine hearing your best friend from a direction, and then seeing him in a completely other direction speaking in an off tone. I hope more is added to this mod, like the ai for the voice recordings is smarter so if you ask a question, it’ll answer with the persons voice and attempt to kill whoever it’s imitating so that they effectively become them.

Allot of pc games used to be like this, early modded counterstrike servers and sandbox mmo's were amazingly fun and games can be amazing fun when they are designed to be fun and not "competitive" or focused on "content loops" and microtransactions.
Just give players a social environment. They will make the fun themselves
Yes! I had a ton of fun on CS Source mod servers with flying levels. Just a ton of people hanging out trying to figure out how to ‘fly/skate/wall ride’ down these near endless levels. Was pretty relaxing. A nice break from the boom headshot grind.
These game analyses videos are the cream of the crop. As an aspiring developer seeing and learning all of these techniques to use in this video (as well as what not to use from other videos) is incredibly eye opening!
Thank you so much Circle, for making your UA-cam videos informative, entertaining, and of the highest quality
3:14 They guy getting shot by a turret never felt more relatable.
3:29 I didn't even know you COULD hear an airhorn through a walkie talkie😂
Between this and Palworld, it really goes to show a game will always do its best when the creator absolutely loves their creation
Don't forget ULTRAKILL
Lethal Company is so popular because it does one major thing different from a lot of AAA games. To put it simply, it's just fun to play, like a game should be.
The comment of the players making lethal company what it is is so true. I’ve had several moments with my buddies that we just couldn’t stop talking about and started to become part of the group’s “lore” in a way.
Like one time one of my friends rushed into the building first, and when I entered right behind him, I found out that the game had randomly generated a mine right at the foot of the entrance, so he got instantly killed. One of the funniest moments of my entire experience
I've never watched a full ad sponser before this video- that's how amazing this was!!
7:52 You don't even need to ring the bell; it answers to sound/noise.
the way voice chat works in this game is amazing. the fact that you can locate someone's position just by it's voice is awesome
9:14
NO BRO NOT LETHAL VIBRATIONS💀💀💀
💀💀💀
Wtf
I hope lethal Company doesn't fall into the "popular game" pit where people will start hating it in a few months for absolutely no reason
Same here it's a fun game to play with my friends and it would be a shame if it got the among us treatment
I was about to type "thats impossible" and then I saw the horror of skibidi company
To be fair, when I first saw the jester I immediately thought of skibidi toilet
People already hate it for dumb reasons
I mean what does it matter if people start hating it? The creator already made tons of money and other studios might emulate the good qualities of it.
Love seeing people break down what makes certain games so fun! Literally just made a video about Lethal Company talking about why I think it works so well with friends, so it's cool to see a creator I really respect being on the same wavelength for stuff like proximity chat and the games virality factoring in to it's success
Banger video as usual. Love your perspective on the game and really showcases what makes it special!
"Oh Bracken, what are we doing?"
AYOOO WHAAAT?!? 😂
The game is just the perfect blend of horror and hilarity! So many horror comedy shenanigans that ensues from both players and the RNG of monsters/traps
One of my favourite things in Lethal Company was when we were playing with the VR mod and found out that you can totally do shadow puppets with the flaslights.
I don't know anything about lethal company so this is my first introduction
Oh you'll have fun exploring
I did not expect to find a vintage image of Country Bear Jamboree's Big Al being used as a shield in the middle of a sponsorship in the middle of an animated essay about a co-op horror-comedy game today.
I was hoping someone would notice Big Al! I've put a Country Bear reference in every video I've boarded for Circle so far, haha
@@charliemacsart Hahaha this is my first video of Circle but it was a delight to see Big Al. I adore Country Bear Jamboree, so I love the reference! :D
3:15 So true! It doesn't matter what situation you're in, it's ALWAYS funny! 😂
i like when you go full animation and as youre doing it constantly i can assume youre enjoying it keep up the good content
8:31 DougDoug cameo
Poob
8:54 added note if you have an item like a horn or in my case a modded yippee, it can make a silent crewmate absolutely hilarious especially when they are frantically trying to lead a crewmate with a snare flea to the exit so they don’t die.
1:11 that poor bastard...
6:22!!!!
BRO IS SO CHILL ABOUT THIS!!! He's smiling at their fate of being thrust out by airlock!!! Like he smiling bro!! Like why?!?! 🤣🤣🤣
Bro the 5:20 canvas is a sick detail
0:46 made me laugh so hard! I love your videos so much!❤
Dude this is the best and most entertaining video that I can send to people who don't play this game that actually gives an accurate description of the gameplay
0:46 The Brackens here do get a bit quirky at night
😂
Ouch 0:48
i dont know if you remember but 6 years ago on facebook you did those random pokemon drawing tutorials and i would always comment about drawing weedle and eventually you rolled weedle on the random wheel and i was so excited and i randomly remembered it and decided to check how you were doing and im happy to see how big your channel has become :D
A game about "fucking around and founding out". Honestly it pretty much is the game! Hot damn
7:01 FYI You can type "view monitor" into the terminal to show the monitor on the terminal so you don't have to go back and forth.
This Proves Indie Games Can Sometimes Overthrow Most Greedy Triple A Game Companies.
More like it proves that content creators/streamers have way too much influence on their audience and the vast majority of them are trend-chasers who just want to be part of their online in-groups.
@@ForeverLaxx Keep huffing that copeium, because as long as said content creators are just here to have fun with a well done game that undercuts all the bull, you're in the minority on this one, pal.
@@ForeverLaxxman if you can't understand the fun of Lethal Company, you need better friends.

the dog in the ship always brings the most fun or terror... depending if you are on the top of the ship or nor
I do love how the game makes you feel like you are one of the employees with the proximity chat.
0:40 Pikmin 2 but horror
You are so right
Letal Company, Pizza Tower and Undertale Yellow are the trio that made 2023 a great year for gamers
what's a pizza tower
@@nicktheguy_ it's a tower (which if you don't know it's a really tall building which objective it's to be able to have an advtange point) made out of pizza (which if you don't know it's a traditional italian dish, being also the most popular food in the world)
@@ChronologicalGamer ah, thank you!
@@nicktheguy_ It's also one of the best games of 2023 - it's a 2d speed platformer with a unique aesthetic and absolute top tier music

Circle you always not only make me laugh but also have me considering so many things about games that I don’t really think about. Thank you :)
Bro, I can't believe one person made this game, this is inspiring me to make my own game
YOOOO it's a Magma clip! At 8:32, I used to watch him all the time, just watch the stuff he would build, get new ideas, learn some tricks, so glad to see him again.
One time me and my friends went to a foggy planet, we didn't even make it to the facility
the cut screams are always funny. the audio has always been one of my favorite aspects of lethal company.
5:40 that track hits so hard 😂❤
Almost as hard as the ice cream truck song that plays when there's a delivery.
One of the funniest things to me is how you just cut out when you die. No notification like most games. It can be funny, but also terrifying -- and I love messing with people I play with by going quiet, but only sometimes. It makes them question juuuust a little bit if they're actually alone.
You know you MADE IIT if CircleToons makes a full lenght video about it.
The guy being teleported back, yet cut in half aged well with the new Barber entity!
Your comments about more loot leading to more weight on return just made me realize that Lethal company is the spiritual successor to Octopus from Game and Watch Gallery 4.
Great video, bracken neck snaps are peak comedy.
The sudden turret surprise is always my favourite moment when watching Lethal Company
0:28 so the company's lethal 🤯
The perfect balance of comedy and horror. You start scared, learn how to survive, git good, and then get humbled and scared again. That's lethal company.
8:00-8:08 Okay okay, can we talk about how clean that animation was?

Arma modders who've had those features since 2016, as a mod to a game made in 2013, muffled because someone put a bag over their head while they were in the arsenal: am I a joke to you
I really laughed at 3:20 joke
The skinwalker mod changed the genre of the game from “whatever the hell you and three other idiots want it to be” into a horror movie
The skinwalker mod takes voice clips of players randomly and will randomly select someone to imitate for each player.
