We've been scammed like that for at least 8 years. I dare to say that theres not a single bubble wrap seller on ebay and amazon who will give you what you've paid for.
Contact weights & measures, if any item is a lesser quantity than the advertised amount it is breaking the Weights and Measures Act 1985 and the amount advertised should be the exact or the minimum ammount you should receive.
You were 40% short on your order and they only gave you 20% off you have been done, I worked in the stationery industry and the machines that measure that roll are only one or two centimeters out when they are cut. Those rolls were cut that length.
I wasn’t too bothered. I fully expected them to tell me to return the item which obviously I couldn’t. This was more about making the video and raising awareness than getting an extra £2 back.
I am however thinking of ordering on eBay from now on and just INADing every roll that is under, that way they will need to pay for return shipping and get a ding on eBay account. If it starts hitting them in the pocket they may change
This is sad as genuine selling companies cannot compete if the true value of 100m is more than what these companies are charging as they may always provide less material meaning they can have better rates on eBay. Honest companies cannot compete if these companies are undercutting materials that majority will not check with seriously low prices. The message response is ridiculous if they're machines that can miscut (BS) this information should be stated Approx rather than a official number i.e. 100m with information provided of this so called issue. 40% less material with a 20% partial refund offer is crazy yet they will continue till taken down officially.
I bought my last lot of bubble wrap from Kite Packaging 100m x 50 cm x 3 rolls. The roll I measured after watching Married2Reselling videos was around 97 metres so not too bad.
Kite are a big company not these back street sellers. We have had things from Kite and are spot on. The quality of bubble wrap is also better than the generic cheap stuff. So you may pay slightly more but you are receiving the correct quantity and quality.
The chances of being found out times greed factor equals misselling. As M2 have said, this scam is worth many thousands of £'s.Its obliviously industry wide.
Haha why didnt you just fold it and run it back and forth ? I've just bought one too but didnt measure it because it did look a lot bigger than yours though when I got it. Probably ripped me off too 😊 we have a governing body in this country called "weights & measures but they dont seem to be doing their job properly.. you should contact them and report your bubble wrap and company details to them. 😊The National Measurement Office (previously known as the National Weights & Measures Laboratory) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills with responsibility for ensuring that all trade measurements are accurate, legal, and fair to buyer and seller.
"Refund is fine"... But you let them off with only a 20% refund after being scammed by 40%. I'd get back on to them and point out that you have just realised they still owe another 20% (of the original price). I've had this alot with "chip shop" paoer I buy in 10KG packs. It's only ever 9 kgs. These companies are using us to ensure they make profit while 'racing to the bottom' to secure dumb customers like us all. Top vid as usual 👍🏻
It’s not about the extra £2 this time it’s the awareness and making the video. I’ve left negative feedback and hopefully if just one person less buys from them then that will hurt them more than that.
checked mine ......payed 8.99 for a 500 mm x 100 m......different supplier . i also got a 20 percent refund it had 65 m at best , amazon i find better but double the price , also double the amount ! best tape ive ever had was from lidl the parkside range not often in proper thick and u dont need much as one run sticks anything
Chris I am just wondering if they are using the measurement of the plastic base before they inject air in to make the bubbles as it does seem to be a consistent thing re short measures There is a bubble wrap company in Dorset that manufactures bubble wrap so I think I will call them to find out their take on it.
When i saw you were getting 2 for 13.95 i thought that was cheap, ill start using them but then i saw the size of the rolls and instantly thiught they were half the size of mine. This is pretty wild! I always assumed you were getting 100m. I buy mainly brown paper by 200m but i wonder if thats ehst im getting now!
@@CookieTheHaydens very true lol. I have had the exact same message from that company last week when I noticed 2 black wrap rolls were half the thickness of the remaining 4.

If you went to Tesco and bought a 1kg bag of chicken breast and you got home and weighed it and it was 600g would you be ok with that, considering you buy that bag of chicken every week?
Haha it’s absolutely no different. 61m out of 100m is 1535 inches that’s a tad more than a couple of inches. 39 meters could help me package 30-50 parcels.
Ye I’m aware, I was expecting them to tell me to return it which obviously I couldn’t. Plus they say that there can be 10/20m difference. I wasn’t too bothered about arguing the toss over £2 this was more about raising the awareness for the video. Trading Standards will sink them. Simple. Just need to report them!

Pretty sure I popped it up at some point in the video
