The Fitness Routine of 100 Year Old Runner Mike Fremont | Rich Roll Podcast 697

  • Mike Fremont is a 100-year-old retired engineer turned climate activist who - in addition to being pretty darn with it - holds a slew of age group world records, including the fastest recorded marathon for a 91-year-old, and at 96, he set the American one-mile record for his age group, and at 99 he raced the Canoe National USCA Championships. Now at 100 years old, he has no intention of stopping.
What’s perhaps most remarkable about Mike is that his running career didn’t even kick into high gear until his 60s - which - for context - was 40 years ago. If you may be feeling like it’s too late -that you’ve missed the boat on regaining fitness, take a cue from Mike because it certainly is not.
I loved chatting with him - I consider him a new friend - and I’m proud to share his story with you.

@@TriggaTreDay Did you edit your post because I could of swore I read "try" to get your life together. That's what I was saying shut up towards because you WILL. You can and you will. Trust me, just do it and you got this. Buy sea moss for starters. It changed my life and it will change yours. It helped with depression, my energy levels, brain functioning, joint pain, and I can now breathe out my nose. I used to mouth breathe all night and now my sleep quality is insane. Also take some form of collagen, it's good for healthy skin. You can transform within a few months. Whatever you do, STAY consistent.

Amazing what discipline and hard work can do. My father in law is still alive at 95 but only because he’s been taken care of like a potted plant for half his life. He stopped working 40 years ago and has done nothing but sponge off others, and has been peeing and pooping in diapers for 20 years. And while the man in this video is obviously still clear headed, my father in law is a complete imbecile. Long life is worth having when it's a life like Fremont's, but not if it involves being a hideous, feeble non-person like my father in law.
