Alibre | Part configurations- What They Are, How to Use Them

- Part configurations, also known as design configurations, are available on the Expert license and allow you to create multiple variants of parts or assemblies and control those variants on-demand from within a single part or assembly file. They are especially useful if you have part families that share similar geometry, or wish to design the same part across different manufacturing processes.

This is great to know. Im always designing different versions of the same part and saving them as v1, v2, v3 etc
Fantastic. Thanks. Jim
Really powerful stuff. This, the library, and the save feature tool (don't quite remember the name) really makes Alibre stand out from other famous subscription software. I'm not naming names. I don't want to start a chain reaction. Either Fission or the other kind...
Better yet, it's not a subscription software. You pay once for what you want and then you keep it unless we are talking upgrades, some special licensing, and maintenance.
I have been using Alibre since version 11. I can't believe I haven't seen this channel until now. I have even searched for videos on YT about Alibre. I have been trying to figure our how to get a black and white image of my avatar logo into Alibre so I can extrude portions for 3D printing. I would love to see a video on that. If it's possible to do with Alibra Pro
Tune in tomorrow and I'll cover that!
Any chance that future versions are going to get toolbars added to have mold making commands simplified in one area, similar to SolidWorks?
What would be the most important mold making tools to have included in that for your needs?
