This video is Legit. After talking with you today watching your videos paying attention to everything you talk about you truly are someone who I look at as my go to raptor guy. I am looking forward to having you build my 700 R. I will be bringing my quad down to have you build it and dyno tune it put the big 3 on it and I really appreciate your honesty. Good looking out on everything bro.
Daniel we really miss your services down here in the southwest. Hope all is well - your recent Dumont vids show how far you've come since your Hesperia days, well done! -
I loved my 778 CR/HDD. I ran it thru the trails, and 300’ I loved that quad. It was an absolute beast everywhere I put it. Mud, sand, snow, pavement, hills, flats, wherever I put it.
Great video, I learned a lot. Love the turbo in my old truck for hauling loads but doubt I would ever put one on my quad, especially for trail riding in the sticks. That being said I would still have loved to see some guy run across the back of the screen yelling BOOST IS LIFE halfway through the vid X-D
Good vid. I keep wishing Honda would've taken the 400EX and simply doubled the cyl to an 800cc twin with a 6-speed + reverse. I think it would have been dope. Not stupid fast but no slug either.
Good vid, sounds to me that you get what you pay for,and quality and consistency are both substantial factors.I wont be going with turbo anytime soon, In my unlicensed opinion I believe the best engine is built from the inside out, And I agree 100% with the trail machines to, I don't need an extra amount of weight to distribute across my suspension I'm fat enough, lol I still have 10-15lbs before the season, I enjoy catching air in the sandpits and riding the mx track and the trails. I find with mods in a general sense require more maintaining, Although I do enjoy turning wrenches I preferably like to do it off the trail. I never understood the point in taking it too far, all them horses need space to gallop, If your not willing to give it to them then what's the point right ..
Hm it seems like forced induction in these single cylinder engines is still in it's infancy... Compared to something like modern forced induction 4 cylinders; Reliability is hardly an issue anymore. There's many engines that make less than 250hp from the factory but with a simple fuel system upgrade and/or direct bolt on turbo upgrade can make north of 500whp reliably..... At the end of the day I think it's the light weight
Please bro I have a turbo Raptor and it makes 125hp and it's a trail bike, going on for 9 years, just say you don't know about turbo but don't knock it
So Basically, short race N/A makes sense. Long race and top speed Definitely Turbo. Absolute Maximum power once again turbo. My opinion, Short Race N/A + a Nice Simple ,Big progressive shot of Nitrous since the Engine has already been Beefed up!"
My d7 racing setup was HANDS down my favorite quad i ever had. That bike was super reliable as well. Tuning was nowhere near as erratic as your claiming. That bike was also my favorite bike i ever rode on the trails. It was the only bike i ever had that would/could do it all. Dunes, hill climbs, trails.. it kicked ass everywhere. You sir have clearly never rode a decent turbo setup raptor, and if you did, your lieing to yourself and others.
08yfz450buck I have ridden and worked on just about every brand kit as well as a few custom ones, have had many on the dyno and have worked with many customers thru their long term aggravations . So as a single person dealing with a single bike, your spectrum of view is very limited.
MrCuervoRacing i know your a reputable builder and have seen and RACED against more then a couple of your builds over the yrs. (not with my turbo raptor that was a play bike)Im not here to talk shit but it baffles me how you claim how unreliable these turbo builds are. Can they be? Sure! But so can n/a build. Ive personally seen more then two of your motors you built throw cranks out the block. So.... does that mean your a shitty builder? NO NOT AT ALL!, that just means ALL parts can and will fail especially when you start really throwing compression or boost at them. I personally feel a high strung n/a motor is WAY more prone to failure then a boosted motor. My view point may be a bit broader then you realize.
08yfz450buck just because it has a sticker on it does not mean we built it... and yes all parts are prone to failure... thus the rational statement I said in the Video, the more parts involved with a turbo kit the more potential for failure. If you have had sucesswith your turbo bike then that is great!
@@08yfz450buck oh yeah I remember you now, you’re the one that was racing that redline 4mm cub, I saw your video. That raptor was running good, looked like a reliable setup.

TrailBlogger yeah for sure. We got to get together for a ride or something more on the Video stuff. Hit me up .
MrCuervoRacing no way id put a turbo on my raptor, i would rather stay N/A and go 734 kit
Well said. Interested in your thoughts on 2 strokes vs 4 strokes in general. I think i know your answer 😂

yeah dude, you are a legend in your own mind...

I made my own turbo kit, sbss custom piston, 87hp all day on 93pump, for 6 years....but thank you for your info
Any videos of that beast?
Well said, N/A life! Much more impressive having a big N/A bike. After seeing Herrons raptor yall built I don't think anyone could argue with you
mrtaterman his bike is Mean on that spray! That's my choice for power adder but a bit tough to control sometimes
MrCuervoRacing well he still needs to beat that triple banshee!

I have a big question ? Can you contact me soon as possible please
What do you think of using smog pumps for superchargers? (Please reply)
HpuRacing that's not a viable solution to make any pressure

You should make a Nitrous video negative/positive
Very well put and i see no error in your logic.
Dave Moore thanks .
Turbo ftw.
I agree, got yourself a new subscriber!
How much power would i make with, a 734 kit, stage 2 hotcam, monster exhaust, ported head, fci intake with pc5.
Steven Gardner about 48-52 at the ground on.
Turbo is unnecessary, extra weigh and stuff to break. How much more power does one need for the trails?!
If it's too much weight, you must be 300lbs lol.
sorrrry i fell asleep, zzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz,, just got go watch sum paint dry
You might want to read some books, so you learn the difference between some and sum.
Just ride a 2 stroke;)
