  • Kidney failure is different than kidney infection. The infection causes pain. Kidney failure has no symptoms. You don't feel a thing. Rarely do kidneys fail because of infection. They fail one cell at a time from chronic diseases of inflammation.
    Instead, kidneys slowly fail from high blood pressure, high blood sugars, and chronic toxins filtering through your kidneys. Two decades of borderline blood pressure killed my dad's kidneys. Don't let that happen.
    Failing kidneys only show up in your labs.
    Check your URINE MICRO=ALBUMIN to CREATININE RATIO. The protein MICRO-ALBUMIN should never be present in your urine. Do not accept "a minor" problem It predicts danger ahead.

      Who knows what grades your Dr had in school. Could be a c student or a student. Majority of society takes the easy way out. Either prescribe pills or shuffle you on because patients are stacked 3 high for each appointment. My doctor gave up prescribing meds. Told him I want a natural solution not just treat symptoms. I worked on nutrition and diet. He was surprised when my help improved. Said he has never had a patient improve their help on their own before. Followed a low carb plan not keto. Weight came down as well as an improvement in blood work. Ended up with a mutually respectful relationship. Now when I have problems he believes me there is something wrong and tries to find out why.

    It's very sad to hear doctor Bosworth talking about her regrets for not having done more for her dad.
    However, there's a small consolation - and it's only a small one. And that is, she's saving droves of lives with her channel. The numbers of souls saved will never be known exactly, but mark my word, people are making life-saving changes on the back of these videos!

    (7 months ago my kidneys were performing at 61%, or Stage 2.)
    5 weeks ago, they showed further decline, down to 53%, dropping into Stage 3.
    At that time I was referred to an Oncologist for possible Multiple Myeloma, calcium levels very high, etc. He suspected other issues at play…referred to Nephrologist.
    At that time I restarted Keto, and added 3-4 liters of water a day. Moderate to high range of Ketosis, average blood glucose mid 80’s.
    Saw my Nephrologist yesterday, he called this morning with the latest test results:
    I am now at 91%. Back into Stage 1.
    The word "miracle" is not an overstatement. God is good!

    I feel the same way about what I’ve learned in the last 3 years about eating, sugar and fasting and how I wish I could have taught my parents (who passed about 20 years ago now) how to live healthier. They might have actually made it into their 70s. I believe the food, pharma, insurance and medical industries have really failed the public for the past 50 years.

    Excellent, Dr. Boz. I had uncontrolled Diabetes for years, which is a leading cause of kidney failure. The standard diabetic treatment did not work. The metformin made my kidneys worse. I have been Keto for over two years and my diabetes is reversed, blood pressure is normal and I have lost over 50 lbs. My kidney numbers have stabilized. In other words, it has not gotten worse.

    Very interesting video about kidney disease. My wife had an autoimmune disorder years ago (2007) called microscopic polyangiitis which severely damaged her kidneys, her GFR was under 30, but it came back up to over 50. The family doctor recently put her on statins for her cholesterol and it seemed to make her sick and may have caused her to have kidney problems again. The kidney doctor told her to stop the statins because her potassium is now too high. The family doctor suggested she take baking soda tablets to help improve kidney function? She is 68 and I am worried about her long term kidney health. We are a lot more careful with her diet now. I discovered that avocados are one of the worst foods you can eat for kidney problems due to the potassium. It is interesting how the kidney doctor and family physician have different ideas on treatments.

Since last year I have dropped taking Metoprolol as my blood pressure is 127 over 68. That is without the meto but still taking lisenopril twice per day. I exercise walk my large dog 3,800 steps, three kilometers twice per day and if still taking meto it would be very difficult. Am presently water fasting and am starting at 198.2lbs. Last year before fasting I was 230 for many years. Keto works for me.

      Eating chips and a soda is healthier? Because I know people who eat that for a meal.

    • @VoIPPortland
      @VoIPPortland 4 роки тому +5

      @@Edu_Kate The negativity is that KETO wipes away $$$ billions of profits for the Pharms, the 'Diet' industry, etc. Always about $$$, not your health. Poor health of the masses benefits government. Or in other words, Julian Michaels has soda fizz pop to sell. From the top to the bottom, if 90% of the meds you would see at even an over the counter drug store were deemed useless due to KETO there is no way an industry of profiteers are going to let low carb, high fat, mod protein be the new guidelines. Yes eggs, meat, avocados, vegetables. Olive oils and butter and so on. It was just important to make sure I didn't let the protein side get too far ahead of me. What's kidney disease it is important to make sure you keep the amount of protein in check.. Carbs were low 10 to 20 a day protein usually no more than about 50 60 G and then whatever fat I took in on top of them. And I based it all on a 1700 calorie a day

    Just diagnosed with CKD 3A by new Dr. from my past labs. Told to go on plant based diet. eGFR was 54 on last labs with other Dr.(He retired, but never said a word about low kidney function... "your labs are good.") . My labs improved this last visit (first with new Dr. my eGFR went up to 58. Controlled BP with meds, and diabetes managed with Metformin. but do have elevated Microalbumin of 50. Told me must go plant based, low sodium, low protein, no grains. But I still watch your videos to learn. Will see how my labs are on next appt. Plant based is hard going from an "average American diet for 60 yrs., except for limiting sodium and sugar for 4 yrs.,

    I felt my kidneys when I started keto - ultimately I feel it was from eating nuts and dark chocolate. My sense is that it derived from oxalates. Cant say for sure, however cutting out the nuts and greatly reducing the chocolate had meant I no longer feel my kidneys anymore. I haven’t taken another kidney blood test to confirm but feel much better. Basically meat based now

    I agree with so much of this! I do have 2 questions & I hope you can answer them. How do failing kidneys handle the moderate protein of a keto diet? Is there an upper limit that's allowed? Also I've recently heard that K2 can, by removing calcium in the arteries, destabilize coronary plaque turning it from "hard plaque" to "soft plaque" which is supposedly more of a danger. I've scoured the internet & can't get an answer for this plaque question. Bless you and your family.

    • @Malcolm-Achtman
      @Malcolm-Achtman 4 роки тому +4

      I follow experts like cardiologist Dr. William Davis. The idea that vitamin K2 would destabilize coronary plaque or turn "hard plaque" into the more dangerous "soft plaque" is, in a word, false.

      It certainly would be interesting to hear if anyone has used the diet as part of a treatment modality. I can't really imagine why keto would not at least help some. One problem in that regard is that the cause in some cases could be a DNA flaw or decoding error. In that case, the ketogenic diet may improve how the person feels and maybe even functions but would not do anything to correct the root cause.
