I got my GBC Purple as a gift as a kid. Many hours of gaming on that baby! Pokemon Silver, Harry Potter, Batman Beyond and so much more! The SP was the next gameboy i got which was amazing as well. Gameboys maybe not "cool" today but man I love them so much. First Time Viewer! Earned you a sub for sure!
I just ordered D-Fuzed for Gameboy Color. It looks fun but was a bit expensive. Can't wait to get it. Powa! looks good too. I play mostly on the Retroad 5 Plus with the GB/GBC Extension Converter from Ali-Express. I try to buy ROMS when I can and put them on my Everdrive GB X7. Indestructo Tank and Pine Creek were cheap as dirt on Itch io, $3.99 a piece. The Retroad 5 Plus has HDMI out and different aspect ratios. I use my 8bitdo SNES dongle and NES/SNES Online controllers with mine even though it came with two wireless controllers.
I totally understand that I used to trade in my old games for the new ones as well and now that I'm older I rather just work and save to get new games.
I came here straight from your Le Pliage vid and wasn't disappointed with either video. Love your gb/a collection, especially the pink SP. If you want to back up your cartridge saves, there are devices like the Epilogue GB Operator (or similar that are much less pretty and a little less user-friendly for cheaper). If you do get the Operator, they usually do preorders and fulfill way later. Unfortunately, most of my Pokemon saves didn't make the wait time, but I was able to back up my old Blue version save. Banjo Kazooie debuted on N64 :)
Awesome video, I really enjoyed it. I too started collecting during covid lol. Back in October 2020 I was playing Pokemon Go and it really had me thinking about my old Pokemon games. I began collecting all the old games I use to have as well as some of the consoles I had never owned but always wanted as a kid.
I don't have the other games for the Nintendo Game Boy, but I do want to grab Alleyway, DuckTales, Dr. Mario, RoboCop, The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers, Double Dragon, Double Dragon 3: The Arcade Game, Paperboy, Paperboy 2, Kung-Fu Master, R-Type, Super R.C. Pro-Am, Bo Jackson: 2 Games in One - Baseball & Football, the Mega Man games (Mega Man in: Dr. Wily‘s Revenge, Mega Man II, Mega Man III, Mega Man IV, and Mega Man V), Beetlejuice, Q*bert for Game Boy, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends, The Ren & Stimpy Show: Space Cadet Adventures, Yoshi‘s Cookie, Joe & Mac, Kirby‘s Pinball Land, Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Montana‘s Movie Madness, Batman: The Animated Series, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Contra: The Alien Wars, the Donkey Kong Land games (Donkey Kong Land, Donkey Kong Land 2, and Donkey Kong Land III), Street Fighter II, Killer Instinct, The Getaway: High Speed II, Iron Man/X-O Manowar in: Heavy Metal, Casper, Mole Mania, Hercules, The Fidgetts, Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition, Turok: Battle of the Bionosaurs, James Bond 007, Wario Land II, Brain Drain, The Smurfs, Frogger, Small Soldiers, The Rugrats Movie, and Super Breakout (Majesco version), as well as several black-colored Game Boy Color games like Special Color Editions of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, the Game Boy Color versions of Frogger, and The Rugrats Movie, Men in Black: The Series, and R-Type DX on the Nintendo Game Boy.
With new ips screen kits there is no reason to play in the dark. I did dmg style GBA and Gameboy Color kits and they rock. Ali-Express had all the parts for the most part.

Loved Pokémon yellow and Pokémon gold
I just took Pocket Monster and made it the English patched Pokemon Green for Gameboy. I will have to put it on the Everdrive GB X7 and check it out.
