A lot of folks don't understand the sense of necessity and good fortune of harvesting a moose.. They don't see that you only took the one that suited your needs..they don't see that it's a renewable resource..and they will never see because they're incomprehensible eyes and narrow minds won't allow them to.
I'm sure that little bull was some dandy eatin', good on ya Jeff..!!!

    Thanks for joining us Tim
you know the thing with the bulls is they get their funk later in the season here in Alaska the early part of the season meaning late August to the second week in September the bulls are still eating and fat I will take a large bull then as they are hog fat and not tough at all.
by the third week in September they are walking a lot and rounding up cows and rolling in the wallows that were urinated in so they are not only tough they have that funky smell and quit eating and lose their fat fast so if I have not gotten meat by then I limit myself to very small bulls or cows for the best eating most hunters only make the mistake of shooting that late season monster bull once some are slow learners though :)

Thanks glad you liked it and yes I would rather a cow late in the season the horns are only good for stirring the soup :)
and the music was my lame attempt on my guitar still need to work on that. :)

I agree on killing Cows if you are meat hunting... Bulls taste funky, I hunted Moose in Vt a couple times and the group i hunted w/ someone got drawn for a tag almost yearly... I have eaten a lot of bulls they shot and liked the cow that my Hunting partner shot on my tag the first night of are hunt the best... Greetings from NC tim
