- We continue to detect for gold in a heavily detected area in the Goldfields in Western Australia. There are detector holes everywhere and the signals are few and far between, however we’re still getting obvious target signals and digging good gold nuggets out of the ground.
We travel and live off grid full time in Outback Australia to metal detect for gold nuggets in a modern day gold rush.

A definite sign of a good detectorist, after many others have hit a spot you are still able to pull gold out of it. Love your channel and love that your clips are longer than most. Now if you could get Mark to yell, he has got to be the quietest Aussie I have ever heard.

I really enjoy your videos! You two consistently show how important it is to know your detector, how it reacts to different conditions and targets and how to interpret what information it's giving you. Throwing money at a machine is not how you find nuggets in places other people have hunted, knowing what your machine is telling you is how it's done. Keep up the great work!

Knowing my machine and always learning what it is trying to tell me has made me successful where others fail. My motto is "listen to what your machine is telling you, don't tell your machine what you want to hear."

Excellent device hip stick,I can see how you can maintain your swing smoothly by adjusting the bungee allow‘s you to stay close to the ground. Coil protective cover very important. Very good VID ..!

You can get a starter one for as cheap as $70 through most large retailers (Costco) in the USA, but probably some comparables in other countries, good luck out there

When I first started MDing the first thing that was told me by others was"Nobody finds it all" and that includes you.I went to a local school play ground and went over it numerous times and found good targets like coins and silver and gold rings every time. Tihis was back mid '70's.I went out with the Minelab equinox 800 to a hammered park and found a 1957 silver dime the first time out with it.
Its a hard mindset to conquer Paul. Once you start finding in hammered areas though you realize how important your technique and mindset are💛 Happy hunting 🍀⛏

Picked up 14 grams and what I believe is a small meteorite.

I like the hipstick and bungee set up. inquired to them if they ship to the USA.
I wore out my shoulder a couple of years back. Cut my detecting time out, in half.
Wanna get back into the swing again.
The minelab pro swing 45 harness is another great option. It transfers the weight to both sides of the hip. Unfortunately not a great fit for skinny lads like myself and we need to carry a backpack. 💛 Happy hunting nugget hunter 🍀⛏

What permits and permissions do you need to find gold?
In Western Australia you just need to purchase a miners right. $26.50 for a lifetime permit. Permits prospecting on most crown land not under mining tenement. Just advise the pastoralist of your intentions and stay off live tenements.

Comfort is key to many hours swinging, if you dont have good orgonometrics you will miss gold 🤣
