Hi mate is there any chance you sell micro chips with all this info on it that will marry up to my hx1 as I am just no good at all this computer downloading .
The HX1 uses Hema Off Road Navigation as it's primary Mapping Software, whereas the HN7 used OziExplorer. The conversion of Google Earth tracks and waypoints can be achieved using GPS Babel. GPX files can be created for your HX1. I offer a NAV file conversion service on my website.. you can see it here www.eurekaprospecting.com.au/116/navigation-gps-file-conversion. How do you use google earth offline? I mean its a very large file if you could download western australia to be viewed on a smartphone or laptop! Can you use Nokia Heremaps with Minedex? Here maps is built for offline use.
+Kenneth Bothen G'day, If you are using a laptop, once you open Google Earth and zoom down to the location you need to look at, your laptop will automatically cache that information and resolution. For instance, whilst I could access Wifi or phone service with my mobile broadband, I would spend about half an hour zooming down to every location I was planning to go to, until I had the desired resolution. I would then hibernate my laptop with Google Earth still open ( not shut it down ) and then when I got to my location, usually in a completely non-service area, I could then still get the high res for the areas I wanted. I understand that some Tablets have an built in GPS, and coupled with Google Earth, can be used real--time to navigate. As long as the app version of Google Earth supports Kml, It is conceivable to use this platform to view all the Tenements. There are quite a few UA-cam vids out there that show you how to open Kml files on Android devices, so I am guessing there would be some about Apple devices. Regarding Nokia Heremaps. I understand that it uses GPX file format, so theoretically, you could use GPS Babel to convert the Tenement download, or the parts that you want, to GPX. Send the converted file/s as an attachment in an email to your smartphone, then try to open it. If your phone does not recognise the file format, it should give you a message asking you which application to use to open it. From there use Heremaps to open it, and hopefully, you should be in business. Hope that helps. Regards Aussie.
