When Doug's movie came out on VHS, I pleaded with my mother to buy it so that I could see it at last. Then when I got home, the tape was blank-- snow static from tape end to tape end. I was disappointed. Only four years later was I able to find a copy at the library. Low and behold, I discovered that I missed out on absolutely nothing. I couldn't even recall a single thing about the movie six months after I watched it.
The Oscar nominees are: 1. Leonardo DiCaprio 1. Leonardo DiCaprio and 1. Leonardo DiCaprio. And the winner is.... Odd Femmy Robot from Doug's First Movie!

I actually started to attend college courses for my senior year and the immediate difference that I noticed was how much nicer and more relaxed the people are. I think the fact that a lot of high school girls are bullied and commit suicide each day should tell you that it's less of a stereotype.

I think this show's main problem was the animation style. With the warped anatomy and jelly bean skin tones, you expect something far more whimsical than what you get. This movie is just too nastily generic for its colors and weirdness.

This is one of the things that I love about the Nostalgia Critic, he finds things in our childhood that are regarded as masterpieces, simply because we grew up with them, and manages to find flaws that people overlook simply because they love them so much.
I always liked Disney's Doug growing up, and I still do. The Nickelodeon version is cool too, though I never watched it as a kid (I saw it once when Nick had some marathon of old shows in 2007 or so, and I thought to myself "Doug used to be on Nick? I thought it was a Disney original").

My guess as to why they kept saying "Fuckytown" is that they may have been reading their lines too fast (possibly in a rush). My cousin once played a trick on me when I was a kid where he had me sing the first line of the song "Funkytown" over and over, faster each time until he got me to accidentally say "Fuckytown." Or, maybe they just really suck at pronouncing their "N"s, who the fuck knows?

This is the most pointless movie adaptation ever made. Seriously, you can make 3 separate episodes for each event going on, because they literally do not connect whatsoever. 1 - Doug trying to compete with Guy for Patty's heart by participating in the preparation of the Valentine dance. 2 - Doug and Skeeter finding the legendary monster, and hiding this discovery from being exploited by Mr. Bluff. 3 - Roger and his goons creating a robot that turns into the motherly Julia Childs-bot chasing him down. There, 3 episodes for the show. There was no need for this movie other than Disney to make another animated film for one of their franchise
I love how much this shows off the fact that Doug never really watched the show all that much: the fantasy sequences were, like, constant in the show and dangerous. Funnie nearly got killed a few times because of them.

My guess as to why they kept saying "Fuckytown" is that they may have been reading their lines too fast (possibly in a rush). My cousin once played a trick on me when I was a kid where he had me sing the first line of the song "Funkytown" over and over, faster each time until he got me to accidentally say "Fuckytown." Or, maybe they just really suck at pronouncing their "N"s, who the fuck knows?

This is the most pointless movie adaptation ever made. Seriously, you can make 3 separate episodes for each event going on, because they literally do not connect whatsoever.
1 - Doug trying to compete with Guy for Patty's heart by participating in the preparation of the Valentine dance.
2 - Doug and Skeeter finding the legendary monster, and hiding this discovery from being exploited by Mr. Bluff.
3 - Roger and his goons creating a robot that turns into the motherly Julia Childs-bot chasing him down.
There, 3 episodes for the show. There was no need for this movie other than Disney to make another animated film for one of their franchise
Not only did I like Doug, it was my favorite show on Nickelodeon. Disney brought it down.
I love how much this shows off the fact that Doug never really watched the show all that much: the fantasy sequences were, like, constant in the show and dangerous. Funnie nearly got killed a few times because of them.
Lol you know after watching this, i feel like stocking the nostalgia critic and every time some one says his name i'll walk by, tap my phone, and play the doug theme on high volume >:) that should get me in his top 11 (evil laugh)

I remember Doug, well, only for one reason. Me and my cousin had a VHS tape of it, and we just used it to watch the little Nickelodeon opening. When it went to Doug, the smile wiped from our faces, and smashed that rewind button.
I love that intro. It sums up his feelings for the whole franchise perfectly.
