Critic's rant about high school girls was spot-on. In my experience, girls in high school (and middle school) are constantly at each others' throats. It makes me glad that I'm not a girl.
Well being of a certain gender wouldn't prevent you from getting at someone's throat. Hell, in my middle school and highschool time the guys would always pointlessly shove each other and fight in the halls. Everybody was(and still is) involved with some stupid drama, too.
Goshi Yeah, I know. It's just, the drama I've heard goin' on with one of my younger sisters, pretty much summarizes the point of the Critic's rant, so it kinda hits close to home (you would not believe some of the things one of her so-called "friends" said about her). But yeah, I see your point. Looking back, the main reason I didn't have as much drama as a kid might have had less to do with my gender and more to do with the fact that I was Autistic.
When I saw the title of this video I actually thought "Doug's First Movie" meant the first movie that Doug Walker remembers loving or something. This was a lot funnier though.
4:05 Seriously. When I was still in school, we had maybe 5 people who gave a shit about the dance. The others either went because there was nothing better to do, or (the overwhelming majority) said "Fuck that noise" and stayed home playing videogames.
BvousBrainSystems mine had a hydrolic cutter, didn't have time to attatch a nuclear warhead so i did the next best thing and rigged it with a giant set of military grade speakers.
When Doug's movie came out on VHS, I pleaded with my mother to buy it so that I could see it at last. Then when I got home, the tape was blank-- snow static from tape end to tape end. I was disappointed. Only four years later was I able to find a copy at the library. Low and behold, I discovered that I missed out on absolutely nothing. I couldn't even recall a single thing about the movie six months after I watched it.
***** Well to be fair, the way he put it was pretty stereotype based and seemed like he knew just as little of what he was talking about as the creators of this shitfest did.
+Goshi Not "general knowledge" it's a sum of their experience with high school girls. As someone who's still in high school, I can assure you that they are fucking horrible. I actually started to attend college courses for my senior year and the immediate difference that I noticed was how much nicer and more relaxed the people are. I think the fact that a lot of high school girls are bullied and commit suicide each day should tell you that it's less of a stereotype.
The Oscar nominees are: 1. Leonardo DiCaprio 1. Leonardo DiCaprio and 1. Leonardo DiCaprio. And the winner is.... Odd Femmy Robot from Doug's First Movie!
Disney logic: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride had to go straight to video, and yet Doug's First Movie is more worthy of a theatrical release... okay...?
Brickmaster4496 It's because due to the success of The Rugrats Movie from Nickelodeon that Disney; having bought the series after Nick's version ended, thought by releasing Doug's 1st movie theatrically as opposed to straight-to-video which was their original plan. One thing that Doug doesn't touch on that I can't stand in this movie. The voices are SO annoying. Half the characters (Roger, half the girls, Skeeter, Guy) sound squeaky, like they swallowed a helium tank.
My guess as to why they kept saying "Fuckytown" is that they may have been reading their lines too fast (possibly in a rush). My cousin once played a trick on me when I was a kid where he had me sing the first line of the song "Funkytown" over and over, faster each time until he got me to accidentally say "Fuckytown." Or, maybe they just really suck at pronouncing their "N"s, who the fuck knows?
I think this show's main problem was the animation style. With the warped anatomy and jelly bean skin tones, you expect something far more whimsical than what you get. This movie is just too nastily generic for its colors and weirdness.
the peeing all over the old theme is right up there withe the gonad friendly spyglasses from Nostalgia critic the magic voyage these crack me up everytime X""D
What about my name? Probably 1/3 of the people in my school have made an underwear manufacturing joke, while the other 2/3 have invariably stated "Where's Hobbes?"!
I feel most pity for the Jew named Kyle. If I had been born a generation earlier I would have herd a multitude of highlander jokes, my last name being Mccloud. The most I've herd is one star fox remark, I got lucky. My dad, however, was not lucky :P
This is one of the things that I love about the Nostalgia Critic, he finds things in our childhood that are regarded as masterpieces, simply because we grew up with them, and manages to find flaws that people overlook simply because they love them so much.
This is the most pointless movie adaptation ever made. Seriously, you can make 3 separate episodes for each event going on, because they literally do not connect whatsoever. 1 - Doug trying to compete with Guy for Patty's heart by participating in the preparation of the Valentine dance. 2 - Doug and Skeeter finding the legendary monster, and hiding this discovery from being exploited by Mr. Bluff. 3 - Roger and his goons creating a robot that turns into the motherly Julia Childs-bot chasing him down. There, 3 episodes for the show. There was no need for this movie other than Disney to make another animated film for one of their franchise
+frankie myers My brother in law went had a college roommate named Guy. Okay, that's not so bad. But get this; his last name was Nexdorr. His parents were evil; they named their son Guy Nexdorr.

It's a bad movie, but to be fair, it wasn't initially supposed to be in theaters. However, after The Rugrats Movie made a lot of money, Disney figured it could make some fast cash on this, but they didn't bother to change any of the scenes or tone to make it "big movie"-like, causing critics and viewers to say it was just an overly long episode of the show, and a bad one at that.

That is what I would say to the FOX employees.
I went into this thinking; "Wow! The Nostalgia Critic made a movie?!"
I went out of this thinking; "You fucking people..."
Oh... Oh... I just realized...
... The nostalgia critic's name is Doug Walker.
When I saw the title of this video I actually thought "Doug's First Movie" meant the first movie that Doug Walker remembers loving or something. This was a lot funnier though.
It was, it was!
14:39 - 15:47 One of Nostalgia Critic's funniest moments.

+Gabe Jones That entire rant still kills me!
Absolutely!

They sold tickets to our dance (which I assume everyone does but ot the point) they had so few people buy them it was called off
We use to take the money our parants gave us and smoked weed in the limo the whole time.
Wait so people DON'T normally make giant bipedal nuclear equipped robots in school?
Thank god I thought I was the only one
TheDiego908 I know! for a second i was questioning professor ocelot's teaching but now i know he really did want us to get the best grades possible :D

Oh yeah, I remember cinderella 4. That's when she gets busted for royal tax evasion and in prison she has an encounter with Wesley Snipes.
I'd give it a 6 out of 10
Only good direct to video Disney sequel aside from Lion King 1 1/2 (That is a real movie actually, it's pretty funny)
Evanthecinemaguy wasn't 1 1/2 a theatrical
Themoviegamingguy No, it was direct to video
Another direct to video Disney movie I liked was The Three Musketeers with Mickey, Donald and Goofy. I wish it was more well known
I thought this video was about the first movie Doug watched
so did I, but don't blame the NC for the confusing title blame disney
yeah me too :P
actually Doug's 1st movie was originally released to video but due to the success of the Rugrats Movie it was then release theatrically instead!
15:33 Feminists listening to Doug's high school rant: WHAT!? GIRLS being mean to each other!? Impossible! MISOGYST, RAPIST, SEXIST! Fire up Tumblr!
***** Well to be fair, the way he put it was pretty stereotype based and seemed like he knew just as little of what he was talking about as the creators of this shitfest did.
Goshi stereotypes aside though, as a girl that was in highschool not that long ago, I can definitely say they're pretty petty and vicious.
Roxanne Maxwell That's more based off of general knowledge in that case.
Goshi
yeah, I guess that's true. There is a variety of girls everywhere.

"YOU ARE FIRED FROM BREATHING! PLEASE, PACK UP YOUR DESK AND KINDLY LEAVE LIFE!!" that line just cracks me up every time.
When he said "Cinderella 4: Filing Royal Taxes", I almost dropped my damn computer I was laughing so hard. The Nostalgia Critic is the best.
When I first saw the review, I thought by "filing taxes" he meant actually issuing them, since Cindy and Charming are... you know, royalty.
Why do you go where I can't follow?
I always suspected Skeeter had a bit of a crush on Doug...
*****
That's the idea ;P

I never got that either.
It's probably this current generation. You've probably seen how they are.
You...are on...METH!!!!
I'm sorry, but did Critic just urinate on the ghost of the old theme of Doug? That's got to be the oddest sentence I've ever said...
growing up in the 90s in elementary school every kid made fun one boy who names was doug because of the show
"How is it in a cast of characters this big and literally this colorful, the only one I feel any amount of emotion for is the lifeless robot?"
So, Friendship is Witchcraft?
"You are fired from breathing! Please pack up your desk and kindly leave LIFE!"
I am keeping this insult for a particularly epic moment.
If I ever met nostalgia critic I would play the theme to this on loop
What you just said was more sadistic than the character you use as your profile picture.
If you do that put Simpson at the end of your name oj
Lol.
I would show him my Bat Credit Card
One thing that Doug doesn't touch on that I can't stand in this movie.
The voices are SO annoying. Half the characters (Roger, half the girls, Skeeter, Guy) sound squeaky, like they swallowed a helium tank.

Try being a Jew named Kyle in a school that watches 90% South Park.
Try being named Gilbert where the only characters you see on tv are one goofy, nerdy or pretty much considered losers. -_-'
I feel most pity for the Jew named Kyle. If I had been born a generation earlier I would have herd a multitude of highlander jokes, my last name being Mccloud. The most I've herd is one star fox remark, I got lucky. My dad, however, was not lucky :P
Try being named Jacob in a town where Twilight was actually a hit
How about a guy named Michelangelo? I ALWAYS get referenced to the Ninja Turtle and almost NEVER the famous painter...
I kinda want to see Cinderella 4 now.
Well there's that Cinderella remake
Jay Smith Perhaps, but I'd actually like to see her filing royal taxes. XD
Azbayzia me too
I've got to admit it; Cinderella actually turned me on a bit with those glasses. Guilty pleasure.
gooooooood

does anyone else notice that the robot looks like ED-209 from robocop?
7:44-7:56 My favorite part of the review. I don't know why.
I hated this show as a kid too. I never understood why anyone would watch this when they could be watching giant robots battling or a barbarian fighting a skull headed wizard. An elite combat unit thwarting a terrorist organization.
COBRAAAAA!
Some people like slice-of-life shows. Personally, I always found action shows boring when I was a kid, I preferred comedies.
I always liked Disney's Doug growing up, and I still do. The Nickelodeon version is cool too, though I never watched it as a kid (I saw it once when Nick had some marathon of old shows in 2007 or so, and I thought to myself "Doug used to be on Nick? I thought it was a Disney original").
8:12
Did he cough the word "Elvis?"
ChickenPika He coughed "doofus"
+ChickenPika I feel like their actors just did a lot of these.
NC's review of Doug's First Movie is probably one of my favorite episodes of the NC series
Am I the only one who doesn't remember Roger being rich on the show?
CowboyCaliburYT That explains it. I didn't really watch the show after Disney took over (except reruns).
***** I liked her hair cut D: and maybe it just me but was Judy seen less and less in Disney version? I started seeing her less and less in the Disney version.
What? I can't see what your saying.
***** Sorry couldn't see your comment I my messages but I as I think about it she's kind of the less pushy and preachy version of Jessie from saved my the bell .
That's a better reference, the other person I was thinking was the angsty whiney redhead girl from 8 simple rules god I have weird references.
18:20 Watch the hand of the mayor. It doesn't match her skin color at all. How could that have missed something like that?
It looks like she's wearing brown gloves.
I don't know...
...
...
...
Ok, maybe she is X|
Seriously though, it looked like it at first.
13:00 Let's just ignore the ED-209 in the room.
All we're missing is RoboCop.
Also, when they mentioned it first at that meeting it looked alot like that meeting on robocop too.
This has to be one of the best of the NC reviews.
You think the name Doug is rough?
My name is Diego. That fuckubg joke, man.
Ohhh... I think that may be worse than Dora. I never knew any Doras, but I always felt bad for girls with that name.
One day, someone asked me where Dora was.
I told them that I left that bitch and her monkey to die with only the illusion that her map and backpack were talking to her to keep her even mildly sane was the firm, cold grasp of the unholy Underworld slowly took her peverted soul to the bowels of Hades. I...may have oversold it.
now that i think of it 15:11 some high school women do look that ugly lol so who knows
6:56 Oh god! Please don't let that ever happen!
Doug's 1 ST movie
Budget $5 million
Box office $19.4 million
"Fucky town!"
For food, fucks, and fun!
"STOP SAYING THAT!" XD
"Jelly bean colored Simpsons rejects." Lol I was laughing for a good 5 mins on that line
ACK! Can't stand Roger's voice in this movie. Not the voice we're used to from the tv show.
It's like if Equestria Girls was raped by a bad episode of The Simpsons, creating a horrible love child.
So the simpsons now.
@@jimlovejes pretty much, yeah. (totally forgot I commented this, lmao. It’s been so long)
Wait! Wait, wait, wait. Doug's friend in the animated series is called Skeeter? Girls must dig this nickname. You know. At least the dude is known for pulling out in time.
I don't know why, but I laugh my ass off every time at, "Why do you go where I can't follow?"
Not only did I like Doug, it was my favorite show on Nickelodeon. Disney brought it down.
The Pokemon movies were epic!
+Jaceblue04 I like to think that him having to review Doug's 1st movie as punishment for his blatant bias review of Mewtwo's Strikes Back.
***** That's because he came into it knowing nothing about it.
***** That's because the movie was made for people who already know and saw the show because that's who will watch the movie.
Tmnt movie from the 1990s movie are epic
They were my childhood
11:08, Who is that a picture of. To me, it looks like the guy from the Room. Tommy Wisseau or something.
I watch this episode just for the Blues Brothers joke.
+Tareltonlives I enjoyed that joke, too.
11:07 C'mon Critic, you know Wiseau belongs there.
In the last scene, the robot's lines and the way they're delivered sound like something out of Bioshock.
Sounds like a female handyman's dying words
Hey Arnold! was definitely a more entertaining show than Doug.
+BowserandLover1 Ain't that the truth. I bet "Hey, Arnold!" took 'some' inspiration from Doug once Doug moved over to Disney and made it better.
(Puts nerd glasses on) Aaaaaactualy Pokemon the first movie was originally called The Pokemon Movie. The changed a few laters to change the title to make it easier.
hey my school talked about our prom so much it almost drove me up a wall
Thank god that I live in Britain none of this happen at my school but only sometimes 😅
***** actually a dance is multiple times throughout a year, prom is once a year
this movie is basically Diary of a Wimpy Kid: third wheel but with the monster Side Story.
"Doug I miss you when you do this..."
I burst out laughing at the sequence, partially from wondering the same friggin' thing myself and mostly due to just how it's done.
I mean your videos do make me regularly laugh but wow, that was just hilarious.
the movie ends with a fart? Groundbreaking!
Well, Ben 10 was around when I was younger.....do you think anyone chanting "Ben Ten, Ben Ten!" at someone with the same name would be funny.....
I have the same name too. :P Man we have alot in common, SMG4 Mario: maybe they're... MARRIED!!! DUN!!! DUN!! DUN!!!
*cricket noises*
Now I do have some affection for the Disney version of "Doug" because I used to watch it as a kid. But after seeing this...wow, the movie was REALLY missing a LOT.
I wonder if Doug Walker was really mocked at school for having that name.
***** Hmmm...that's a question that needs answering.
*****
Well in his review of Nicktoons, he said it was horrible and gave a scenario saying he was mocked because of the show, and also because it was about a wimpy dork that had the same name.
Jake Worsham True.

My reaction to people who post "Darude - Sandstorm" into the comments in a nutshell.
Darude - Sandstorm
