I could not explain it any better. there is one thing id like to say, that is: punk was not born, it was built. slowly the rebellion movement started in the 50's and was building itself up through the 60's. and in the 70's it exploded!
Bravo. I was unfortunate enough to meet many of the band members in L.A. Zolar X had a way, as did Rock Bottom, whose band name I forget. In 1974 Iggy would come to my door for doobies (cannabis) and David Bowie came to the old deco building and kidnapped the Igster and took him to U.C.L.A. Medical to wean him from heroin. The first line was a joke, btw. Effin' bravo on the sculptures.
Punk is movement that speaks about the way it should be and not to suppress your true self and rock is about how loud you can get it but punk and rock are classed as the Same genre but while rock went silent punk was still screaming to be heard
@@cornwellclose5476 man rock makes me sad because it Was great, and is not being made anymore with the exception being some old guys slowly dieing off. Eddie just died. Whose next? Probably some other cool old guy.
The only thing I dislike about this is how they talk about "Punk" and then "Girl's Punk" haha, like, it was as important as the males, why not put em together?
The last statement is wrong. just listening wont cut it. you have to have lived it. punk is an out cry from those oppressed by their government and society. if your a true punk, anarchy mean something different to you then what society defines it as.
so were a zillion other bands. Death had a cool single, but barely an lp's worth of rage. a cool story, but the band didnt do enough. try electric eels, rocket from the tombs...make yer own video.
Death is a death-thrash band. Not punk. I still dont know what punk music is because this video literally says: ”oh you wanna know what defines punk music? Go listen to it”

this is like how a volcano erupts, it slowly builds up until BAM! I will now call punk a volcano from now on.
"If you really want to know punk, just have to listen" damned! you nailed it
wrong, anyone can listen and not understand. if you lived it then you already know the message.
Punk ain't a fashion or music, it's a mentality. What this video shows is one form of "punk".
