    Hi I have this little machine for 24 months now and at least 1000L of mist coat went through ( I am using just for misting big projects like big barn conversions ) it earned thousands of £££ and still going strong ! Wagner 517 tip and I am flying with it.
    Don’t get me wrong i know it’s Erbauer but I am well surprised how good the pump is as it’s still pumping 👀
    £220 2 years ago I am laughing now 😂

      Some of these units just work. Mist coats are abit easier for it aswel as its thinner but ye hood warranty on it aswel as theyre not really repairable they'd probably just give you a new one

    Your video convinced me to try this cracking piece of kit. My Wagner was off being serviced and a last minute job came in of a 4 x new build houses. The previous decorator just didn’t turn up.
    Picked this beauty up from Screwfix first thing in the morning and was completely masked up and painting by mid afternoon. Managed to do them all without issues, apart from a tiny amount of pulsing with the thicker eggshell for the trim, and a very occasional tip blockage which I’d put down to being about 50% less powerful than my Wagner which I cleared quickly. It’s now being kept as my back up in case I ever need it again, which I’m sure I will! Thanks for this!

    OMG! I'm excited, just bought one of these this weekend. I'm a novice at spraying and want to try it before I decide to invest on a pro system & any training. This week, I have a large bedroom to paint, walls & ceiling same colour and I plan to spray. Empty house so I can practice like crazy. I might even try it on the woodwork!

    Nice one, great vids, you've convinced me, I'm just starting at spraying and going with your recommendation for internal walls, I've ordered 210 and a 310 along with the Erbauer.

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  3 місяці тому

      @sib3073 210 and 310 are woodwork tips generally. The 517 ot comes with will be fine for walls and ceilings. But you need the graco rac x guard for the graco blue or green tips.
      You could get a 517LP graco tip which possibly get the pressure down on the machine. Again graco tips do need the graco guard

  • @WheresMyPencilUK

    Your video couldn’t be better timing I’ve just bought one of these and giving it a go at weekend.
    Have few questions if you are able to help?
    1. Have bought a Wagner 30cm extension to do high ceilings, will it be ok?
    2. Someone on the Screwfix reviews said get a graco rac x tip so I’ve got one. Was going to use with a graco rac x 517 for mist coat (Screwfix bare plaster paint) and top emulsion coat (Dulux supermatt) will this be ok, any tips for what pressure?
    3. Got some FFLP 414 and 210 tips for woodwork which is 6” skirting and 3” architrave (undercoat and water based satin) would they be ok with this?
    Sorry for all the questions, loving the channel! 👍🏼

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the support. So the threads on the gun are size 7/8" so if your extension is a 7/8" it will be fine. then the new graco guard should screw straight onto that. you can us a 517LP to bring the pressure down also. but the standard blue tips are nice and fine for mist coats. The bare plaster paint still needs diluting wih water for the msit coat. also id add about 10 to 15% water for the top coat aswell to make it flow nicer. the thicker the paint the more it can struggle. (even my big units i dilute final coats about 10%.
      your aiming to be about 10 to 12 inch away from the surface. if youre doing ceilins and its gettting foggy you may be too far away from the surface. but mist coating can also fog up as its watered down.
      414 i wouldnt really use, maybe small areas for emulsion , it will through a lot of paint out, a 310 would be a better shout. the 210 is a nice tip (gives a 4inch fan).
      pressures dont really matter, just start low and build up, keep testing the fan to make sure its even and away you go

    • @WheresMyPencilUK
      @WheresMyPencilUK 2 роки тому +1

      @@sprayaholic great thanks so much for your help I’ll do what you say and dilute the plaster paint and supermatt down. The supermatt is ridiculously thick so was thinking I’d have to. Will take the 414 back and get a 310. Might make a video of my endeavours, will let you know! 👍🏼😎

    Hi mate, I’ve been decorating for 16 years but a complete novice when it comes to spraying. I bought this machine to use on a job with acres of woodwork. First time using it was today. Using a graco guard and a 310 fflp tip, spraying about 12 inches away from the surface and really struggling with far too much paint on the surface it was awful. Help!? Lol I noticed you held the gun pretty close to the panels to be fair. Would really appreciate your feedback. Cheers 👍

      Hey, dont go for coverage in one go. You can really pile it on quick. So just need to move faster. Im usually around 10ish inches away but its best to go back over it than bit it heavy and then wait for it to dry or sket runs etc

      appreciate the support. I mainly use sandtex trade from crown. Thin it about 30% if its un painted. and about 10 to 15 for top coat.
      i would spray the first coat and will help stick some loose pebbles to the wall. The second coat spray and drop a roller over the area as it pushed the paint into all the small holes. sprayers used as a speed of application. you could probably just spray it, but you use a lot of paint compared to spray a section and drop a roller over it in my opinion

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  Рік тому

      Is it waterbased? You could use a smaller tip size. Obviously the pressure control on a unit like this isnt as effective as a proper model. But you could do it fast for sure. Throw a sheet or somethinb behind the fence if its an open joint one. Often youd need to back brush it into rough sawn timber as it wont get in all the gaps with just spraying. You could roll it? Or spray then drop a brish down it. I made a few videos spraying decking on my channel which i then back brush. That might give you an idea

    Sorry couple more questions. Will then leave u alone 😀 Did u filter paint between 410 and 514 tip?
    Is the paint filtering why did not block for 514 or can wider tips handle less filtered paint better than narrow tips.
    Paint used was durable Matt, is that imulsion paint? Wld it be suitable for interior doors? Do you add any finish such as lacquer. Have around 13 doors and staircase to paint.
    Thanks again....

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  2 роки тому +2

      hi, no i didnt touch the paint, just changed the tip. so yes adding a larger tip size doesnt make it block as easily. depends how much or how solid the crap in the paint it.
      the bigger the tip size the more comes out so the faster you need to move.
      durable matt is mainly for walls, it does mark quite easy but its scrub able. id usually use a satin woodwork paint for doors etc. but this was what the client wanted. you could add a clear matt varnish over but it wasnt requested.

      Hey thanks for watching. That issue happens with all sprayers. Just means the tips blocked. So an easier way to sort it is. Turn machine off and flick it onto prime. That releases pressure in the line and you should be able to to reverse the tip.

    Thanks for your very useful video. I’m a spraying novice and only want one to make painting my fences easier. Do you think some of the thicker fence paints would work with this machine and I done really understand the different nozzle descriptions.

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  7 місяців тому +1

      Appreciate the support. Yes it would work. You can always thin the paints down with the Appropriate product. Waterbased- water. Oil - white spirits. Check the label though for what is says on cleaning instructions.
      Basically the first number x 2 is the width in inches. So a 517. The 5 x 2 is 10. So roughly a 10inch spray fan. The last 2 numbers are the size of the hole in the tip. The bigger the number the more material comes out or allows thicker material.
      So a 517 would be good for emulsion and spraying walls.
      A 619 would be a 12 inch fan and let more paint out than a 517 so good for production and spraying large areas. A 721 again bigger and a 14inch fan and lets even more paint out.
      A 210 on the other hand, good for woodwork as its a 4 inch fan and lets a finer mist out so is more controlled and lets less out. A 310 is 6inch and may be better to spray wider skirting boards etc.
      Anything from a 312 to 515 would work for a fence. Again depends how wide you want the fine. The bigger the more chance of overspray. The smaller is more controlled. Its difficult to say which tip os best as usually youd have a few to use and see which is best on the day. Hope that helps

    Hello. I have a few questions about the generator. Is it enough to just pump water through the entire system for cleaning, or if it is not used for a longer period of time, should it be poured with some liquid, and if so, which one? Does the filter need to be cleaned inside? If so, where is it? One more thing, today I used it for the first time and even though I mixed the paint, the strainer on the hose that sucks the paint often got clogged. What could be wrong. Sorry for the mistakes, I don't write English well and I used a translator.

      Hey, I appreciate the comment. I'm sorry to hear about the other tradesman. This using could easily spray mdf units. It's basically just a small lower powered disposable version of the professional units. A 310 would give it a 6-inch wide fan a 410 would be an 8-inch fan. So, bear that in mind. Depending what paint they used, you could potentially just give it a quick sand with like 320g sandpaper and spray on. But if you go too heavy you may get runs. Always best to apply less and do more pass3s than go for gold in 1 coat. Ive had the farrow and ball colour mixed into several different paints from crown and johnstones decorating centres
      The hvlp units are alot more controlled. Take a look at this video here.
