About Sheepdog Response:
Sheepdog Response was founded by Green Beret, Special Forces, Sniper, and former top 5 UFC Middleweight, Tim Kennedy. Tim was also the co-star of Hunting Hitler on the History Channel, and more recently, Hard To Kill, on the Discovery Channel.
People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success.
The answer is not more laws. The wolves don’t follow them. We must give the good guys the tools they need to effectively respond to violence. The more Sheepdogs we can train to be truly ready to respond to a mass shooting, terrorist attack, violent mugging or home invasion, the better the chances are that the bad guys will get what they deserve and the good guys will survive. Most people sign up for martial arts or weapons training expecting to learn realistic self-defense, and few get it…
We have developed a curriculum that addresses the skills you need to successfully respond to threats
Have you considered the importance of distance?
Why the fuck does youtube keep recommending these cheesy ass videos with tim Kennedy? Nobody cares that you're TIM KENNEDY 🖕👎
always!!
especially when sparring with wrestlers...lol
takedown city
@genio Cristo have some respect
@genio Cristo u sound bitter as hell lol. U would never say tht to his face
Always
Bjj black belt, judo black belt and trained in boxing. Size matters. Support your second amendment!
You need a gun?
5ft 98 pounds. Mighty mouse but yet still just a mouse.
@@1x1HealthyEnergybyAndrew not the bill of needs. bill of rights.
@@Homelander___ Yeah, but because of the Bill of Rights, you need to train for weapon attacks. Noone seems to get that. The Bill of Rights gives aggressors the right to carry weapons, and then you guys feel safer for it? Baffles me.
@@tobiaskenway5992 Psssssssst. Bad guy will have them regardless. He doesn't care about our rules buckaroo.
Now its time to wake up from lala land. You'll be late for school.
Thanks Tim for all you do to make concerned citizens capable citizens.
This is a brilliant demonstration of how reach works. Somehow it seems obvious, but i've never been able to articulate and demonstrate so concisely. Will remember.
I took ju-jitsu when I was 14 , it saved me three times in real life. Everyone should take a class and get some kind of training experience. Life happens in an instant. Go to as many instructors as you can. You need a big library.
What did you do to save yourself?
I don’t know what you mean by library, but if you mean skills learned, it’s best to keep it simple. Small toolbox, but be good with the tools you have.
Where’d you take it ?
I like how Tim always takes time to breakdown what he needs people to understand and the importance of why we are doing these skills or techniques the way we are.
Signs of a good teacher
Amen! Distance management. We're dealing with a situation where mentioning Jūjutsu means inducing opinions of a grappling sport that focuses on the ground. Tim, you do a terrific work of explaning the difference between self-defense and the sport of grappling.
I love how Kennedy always brings things back to financial accounting.
Thanks Tim and all sheepdog team ! Respect and greetings from Portugal.
Tim’s the best. IMO street boxing and wrestling are all you need.
Mayweather is especially good at range on women
very true, but also on other professional boxers.
stfu atleast hes livin it up in a mansion with his girlfriends
Fuck Mayweather
Hahaha much love from Az bro
HAHAHA!!
Thanks for these short videos on pieces of the puzzle. Gonna be showing these to my troops 🤙
Great explanation!
5’6” dude that wrestled in highschool and has very light MMA training. 125lbs... yeah size does honestly make a difference. I can’t wrestle 300lbs but I can out maneuver 300lbs. I can’t strike much harder than the average person (I will not knock you out) but I can land fifty of those hits in very quick succession to places all around your body.
But the greatest thing I have at my disposal is my words, drunk angry man wants to brawl just because I’m tiny... well guess what buddy I’m buying you beer and gonna tell you straight up you are gonna kill me I just know it and I’m not pretty to begin with, I don’t need you making it worse...and I got drunk buddy for the evening after that.
Won’t always work, but thank god I have friends that tower over my tiny ass and gladly step the fuck in on my behalf.
You can always talk your way out of a fight, the greatest skill anybody can have
Joseph Colunga heat of the moment. It doesn’t not always work... and I’m not proud to admit but a few times it’s been me they were throwing words at.
I try to use words because honestly I don’t want my ass beat, I will fight if I have to. But I mean, have you ever taken a fist to the face. Shit hurts man.
Than after you go into the bathroom with him and suck him off? Jk but really you don’t need to even say anything nice. Just walk away and don’t pay any attention to said guy
Wise words
You can't buy them a beer if they want your money or break in your house, this is not about bar fights
Great way to teach movement/position.
Shorter people have numerous advantages if they use them correctly.
Mike Tysons was about 5’9” and destroyed all taller opponents.
Uh, except for Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis, Williams, and even McBride.
James Mccorkle yep. Drugs and alcohol in his later career over came his genetic gifts and his training.
Need to be built like him and have his power for that
Tyson also had an obsessive dedication to training in his prime
He was 5 foot eleven.
What I find best facing a larger opponent if need be, is to bottleneck your surroundings to limit a larger threats field of motion, thus giving you a slight advantage to dictate how and where a confrontation happens.
If you're ever attacked by baseball bats lets say, get in a hallway or close doors to limit their motion. THIS IS NOT A WIN ALL SOLUTION BUT SOMETHING TO CONSIDER.
How cool it would be to put some grappling work in with Tim Kennedy.
Tim knows what hes talking about period
@RPG 808 how is he wrong? Do you have any idea what he teaches? Because if you did you wouldnt say this 🤣
@RPG 808 you understand he's teaching it and explaining simply in this small clip? In many cases grappling a person gets you massive control over them and is a very necessary skill for law enforcement, self defense etc. Most of being taught to fight on the ground is for when you have no choice and are forced to it, you need to be taught the right entries and controlling techniques.
@RPG 808 I've literally been assaulted on the street and my grappling experience was the winning factor, how does it never happen on the street? If you fight multiple opponents in any case you could get "stabbed in the back" even with your superb "blind and finish" super skills.. lmao
@RPG 808 you're arguing some strange things. Grappling is not just ground fighting. You talk in absolutes, which makes me think you are a liar. No one actually experienced will talk in absolutes when it comes to fighting. You've moved your goalposts yet again to be specifically ground fighting, but learning to fight on the ground is not because we want to be there, it's insurance if you go there, you know what to do. Tim has mentioned this aswell, but I'm sure you lied about following his videos too (as you continue to argue against points he never made) yes, call me a child and run away, you've made no legitimate points you just talk broadly like "yes yes everyone knows this and I just blind people and finish them" you're living in a fantasy land when it comes to actual fighting.
@RPG 808 why does where I train matter? Either you can refute my point, or you can't. It seems, you can't
Tim do you allow individuals who use a wheelchair on a daily to attend your classes. I’m sorry it probably sounds like a stupid question but we’re targets. I’m a paralyzed veteran, got jacked up jumping into a night JFEX on Sicily DZ on Bragg.
Buy a gun .no one will miss with yoou .
@@thexmen9435 good point...if unarmed combat is not the best option.
@@kYA00h when there is a threat you mean
@Rvg
Of course I concealed carry🙄 I got jacked up in the military, there’s no handbook or techniques for people in chairs or veterans who use prosthetics. I’m trying to change that. And develop a class for veterans who have gave up parts of themselves the last two decades. As well as citizens that want to defend themselves, you only shoot when you absolutely have to. Sorry if your idea of just having a gun and using it all the time just isn’t practical.
Thanks for answering my question tho bro and getting me absolutely no where.
Sense buddy, Sense. 🇺🇸
Have some sense sir.
Christopher Skoczylas thanks for your service 🇺🇸 Brother.
My confidence level became higher now 👍
This is a great drill! would love to try this out
Tim Kennedy is a fucking legend. Nuff said
Tim is such an awesome dangerous dude!
range level hug it out...
i'm tracking
0:01 that girl gives a good look up and down at our teacher.
So.
Should she be wearing s blindfold?
Only one problem... in an actual street fight the guy your up against is not going to hold his arm out straight and leave it there why you figure out your range and angle !
This ability comes naturally after extreme amounts of training and sparring not a few days of instruction lined up in a mat room.
Being a good shooter is timing.235 to 255 class
If height made all that much of a difference, why is it the tallest fighters in each division are not the champions?
Real fighters don't like giving Mayweather credit; they respect his talent, but not his person. Salute.
@dmanc dmanc Is there an echo in here?
Namesi don’t be a dickhead
can you make that baseball sound again please
❤
I don’t think mike Tyson had a reach or height advantage on anyone.
ya but there is also only 1 mike tyson in the history of the human race lol.
Unless you are Mike .....
Stfu and listen to the navy seal.
Craig Farnam Green Beret*
no but he had hella slips and angles
Greta Thunberg looks to be taking some classes
This is a reach
HOW DARE YOU😂
@@adamschneider868 hahaha... nice
gotta beat up the oil tycoons yk
3:30 *why do you "HATE to compliment Mayweather (Jr)??*
I was asking myself the same thing.
Because of the woman beating, I imagine
Never seen an instructor of some sort on a BJJ mat wearing a polo shirt and jeans lol.
Tucked in polo 🤣🤣🤣
@ 2:47 on the left side of the screen, I spy Dan Fry's kid =)
Yep! :-)
😎
I dont see this working vs Yoel Romero
Beach Samurai no stool gate on the streets homie
@@ACactusHealingRhino excuses, excuses
@@BeachSamuraiStudios not really an excuse. It's a valid point, there are no rounds in a street scenario.
Something he never used in he's ufc career
Tim Kennedy is a great American male.
This is a year old but Tim looks ten years younger
If size matters then your technique is not good enough
That one looks tough as hell....the guy standing next to her does too.😜
This is why you don't get any pussy 😂
@@Kamingo170 lmao
Great video
3:31 why would Tim Kennedy "hate to compliment Mayweather"?
Because Mayweathers an asshole
Everyone’s an asshole to someone.
husmandaddy and floyd is everyone’s asshole
husmandaddy But make no mistake, floyd is perhaps the best boxer ever, asshole or not.
His character , and hitting women lots of people don't over look it
Distance equals reaction time.
mike perry doesnt use those 3 tangibles (level, range, distance)....
and look how little he gets hit
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mauy Boran . And Ledrit all the way
Tim will you fight jake paul
Only 3 comments, what the hell? Nice shory video tho!
You might have used this advice when fighting Gastelum.
But you didn't.
Not useful anymore, we need to maintain social distancing.
Social distancing is a hoax
The last place I want to be is on the ground I don’t care how good you are the other person might not be alone
#violenceadvisor
I had no clue tim kennedy was a homosexual.
Obviously 6ft 🙄 Corona’s Everywhere 😷
