LOVE THIS BRO! We did some similar things at my Germany Seminar. Simple entries, as you demonstrate, are the best, they are efficient, and leave little room for error. I picked up some great options here, will work it in my dojo with my guys later....thank. Great stuff man, talk to you soon! Happy New year once again.

Can these be applicable to Muay Thai?

Not really, in mma because of takedowns/grappling and the cage the distance in striking is a lot further than Thai where 99% of the match would be at kicking range therefore there’s not really a need to close distance like in mma.

Great Fan of your stuff, sadly I hoped for something new. But there arent that many ways to close the distance and establish the clinch. It boils down to: Head inside/outside position.
One muay thai entry drill I really enjoy, is parrying, stuffing, k illing both straights, so the oponent can only attack with hooks and close the distance on the hooks.
You play with the frustration of your oponent, that really works reliable.
Or like the last two techniques, just walk you oponent down with a long guard and let him close the distance and cross collar tie to knee him when he wants to slip your lead hand.
I can make a video if you are intrested.

Hey! Thanks for the insights! For us, there are a variety of entries, but they all follow similar principles, just different tools for the job.
      Sure! Send me a video!

@@tritacacademy Yeaah I really love doing Mixed Martial Arts, and the clinch is the "most-mma-situation" for me.
But after nearly 20years, I feel kind of disappointed, that there are not that many efficient way to enter the clinch.
Like you said, it all follows similar prinicples.
I really use your channel to cross check if I am on the right track.
Its intersting, how peope come up with the same stuff independently.
But I dont believe in No-Gi Osotogaris as much as you. ;)

For the first tactic do we need to worry about the other arm?remember that our opponents have two fists

It puts the opponent in a bad position to effectively punch with the rear hand. 1)He’s pushing the opponent off balance from the right hand pushing into his neck 2) his left elbow and forearm is in front of the opponents shoulder so that he’d have to punch around 3) if those fail he’s at an angle where their opposite shoulder are aligned so the opponent would have to punch across his body. Ion like this particular technique, I’d rather use a collar tie
