After exploring many other beginner pilates workouts on youtube, I still find that yours are the only ones that are ACTUALLY at a beginner level- as in, someone can keep up with most of it if they were previously totally out of shape (like me). I appreciate the lack of talk about "toning" this and that, or about weight loss, etc, and that the focus is kept on listening to your body and finding the line where you are challenging yourself but not too much. Working on my core strength through these even just over a couple weeks has helped me feel so much better in my body! Thank you so much for these! And congratulations on your new baby!
I literally just pulled this video back up on my phone to make the same comment! I'm a bit overweight due to medical issues & do workouts at home so I can comfortably move at my own pace. The first time I actually tried beginners pilates a few years ago, I actually up immediately because it was absurdly difficult! Not to mention how gross I feel about all the weight loss & toning comments that I'm already accustomed to hearing when someone who looks like me tries to talk about exercise. My priority is finding comfort in my body & improving my overall wellbeing. It's nice to hear Isa echo that sentiment.

This is an excellent beginning Pilates series. I’m 48, recovering from a workplace injury, and these workouts are bringing me back. One of the things I appreciate is how well Isa explains safe technique as you go. Great modifications, too.
Ok due to being overweight you lost me when you got on your knees. I ran out of steam. I'll keep doing this daily until I can get through the ENTIRE session. Small steps. Thanks this is GREAT!

This was my first time trying pilates as an adult. I did it a few times as a teen, but did not like it at the time. However, I've been doing yoga for a few years now and while I love yoga, I find that it is not working me in the way that I would like to be worked. I've been using resistance bands for a while, but my doctor told me to try pilates for bone heath given my personal health history. Like others, this is the first beginners/first Pilates video I've done and I love it. I love the way you talk to the people doing the class, Isa, with such respect and care. I've also tried a couple other of your videos, but find myself coming back to this one. I also really love your 45 minute beginners video. That one is a real workout. I can feel it afterward. Thank you so much for making all these videos and putting them online for free, Isa! I've always had such a poor relationship with gyms & exercise. Every time I've tried to better my health since I was a teen, there's always been this atmosphere of shame. As if me simply taking care of myself meant I was opening myself up to allow body shaming & vanity. Even when it wasn't outwardly stated, it often feels implied in a lot of gym classes & workout videos where the teachers make it excessively difficult for out-of-shape beginners & talk about things like toning & weight loss. I've tried a handful of other channels who make beginner pilates videos, but yours are my favorite. They provide me just enough challenge to keep up with, but I don't feel any sense of shame in taking the shortcuts you provide when I cannot do what you can. I love how you focus on teaching us to nurture our understanding & relationship with our bodies. I also love when you hum & sing during repetitions! It always makes me smile. I have a deep appreciation for how you've paced the lesson and individual steps. Often times I find that I'm being instructed at such a fast pace that I miss steps or don't properly engage specific muscles because the instructor is going too fast or asking for too many things at once. Thank you ;)

This was one of the first times trying pilates. After taking a few months away from exercise, I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that my body and what it is capable of doing has changed. The speed and the way you talked through the exercises were very calming as a beginner. I find that other "beginner" pilates videos go way too fast. I finished this beginning to end, which is not something I can say about a lot of beginner pilates videos

After not exercising for a good year now I found this workout was so challenging but so refreshing at the same time☺️ absolutely loved the energy! I can't wait to progressively gain my strength back🥰 thanks a lot for your wonderful work!

An actual beginner pilates workout. Great job but i did have to stop midway cause i want something a lil more challenging, but this is perfect. Will come back to this

The speed and the way you talked through the exercises were very calming as a beginner. I find that other "beginner" pilates videos go way too fast. I finished this beginning to end, which is not something I can say about a lot of beginner pilates videos
