    The part that stands out to me is that no matter the film he was speaking about, he always had something good to say about someone else.

      i noticed that too, didn't have anything negative to say about anybody. I'm sure he didn't get along with a few people here and there, but he kept it positive. a true class act

      What was interesting to me was how much he connects the films he worked on with where he was at in his life at the time. More than what the films themselves mean to him or anything like that. A real "working actor" as they say. Such a great guy.

      He never says anything negative about Roseanne Barr either. This despite Barr going extremely bonkers in the last 10 tears after drinking that Fox News Kool-Aid. She wasn't like that back in the days when they did the original series. Unfortunately she watched too much Conservative media and that screwed her up to the point that she's barely rational. Blaming everything on a drug or pill for her insane outbursts.

    He’s the real deal. Was at an awards show taping, they cut back to the host, and I realize I’m in John Goodmans seat. I go to get out, and he whispers in my ear,’ No. That’s no ones seat, but a ladies.’

    These are some of my favorite movies of all time. Raising Arizona, Monster's Inc, O'Brother Where Art Thou, the Big Lebowski. I never get tired of watching them! Thank you Mr Goodman!

    His voice just makes me feel so many emotions. I hear Dan Conner and remember my childhood, I hear Walter Sobchak and want to laugh and then I hear Fred Flinstone and just remember watching that film in the cinema with my siblings. A terrific actor.

      @@jennifersman7990 Yeah roseanne was a little before my time, and im english where it wasn't quite as popular as in the US. But ive watched a few episodes and i thought he was great as Dan. At least he did win the Golden Globe for it.

      Steve Buscemi is another one too. There is a whole bunch of actors who everyone knows, but somehow still don’t get the recognition they deserve (basically, the entire cast of Monsters Inc and almost every Coen Brothers movie)

    Even tho he had a smaller role in Community, it was still a very powerful and convincing character for me. I know it's not in the top list to talk about since he had such a rich career but I loved his role in it.

    First John Goodman movie I’ve ever watched was The Flintstones when I was a kid back in the 90s.. I loved him as Fred.. as I got older I definitely became a fan of him and his craft.. you can recognize his voice anywhere! He was so great in 10 Clover Lane, Flight and Argo! So talented yet a class act!

      Hearing John Goodman was a main character in 10 Cloverfield Lane was an instant sell for me. One of my favorite actors of all time.

    Such a great actor. And I love how he sincerely seemed to love and appreciate the people he worked with like Rick Moranis, Peter O'Toole, John Turturro, Billy Crystal, and Jeff Bridges. I'll watch him in any Coen brothers movie anytime..

    John Goodman is one of those great iconic actors that you’d love to be able to reverse the aging process for just so you could continue to keep him around for your selfish entertainment needs. I still see John Goodman as he appears in early Rosanne episodes but the oh brother and big Labowski roles were truly my favorites what an awesome resume

      I didn’t call him a humble person, I was pointing out the humility shown in this video by giving all the credit to scripts.
      Unless you know the guy personally, you’re not in any position to make judgment calls about his character. That’s part of what’s wrong in the times we live in

      I was under the assumption it was gastric bypass because he lost so much weight. Then I googled it and it turns out he just dieted! Well done - that’s not easy. I’m not used to seeing him thin also but I am glad he did it because now we can likely enjoy many more of his performances.

      @@veloc.raptor9136 peter o'toole passed away, and this is John's way of expressing that he still considers himself Peter's friend. He is implying that Peter has "chosen" to remain dead, as if it were something he can change, which is the sad humor of it, since we know that's not possible.

    I like the way Goodman gives such positive views of his directors and fellow actors. He seems like a really good man.
    One role I always remember him for was The Big Easy.

    Literally blown away. I've seen almost all his movies and acknowledged him as an actor. But as you look back at all the film's, they would not be the success they were without Goodman.

    Man. He’s been in so many movies, there are still so many I wish he’d talked about. Like working with Scorsese in “Bringing Out The Dead.” Or “Trumbo,” “Kong: Skull Island,”. Prolly a dozen more. He’s so iconic. One of the finest, most talented, most original actors in the history of American cinema. Plus all those years on a groundbreaking, #1 TV show. What a master.

    The humble actors are always the most fascinating to listen to. It's always nice to see someone compliment the people they've worked with, since making a movie is after all a team effort.
    I was hoping for him to talk about Storytelling though.

      Look up Jim Broadbent being interviewed. He seems so shy he can almost not get words out, but he's fascinating! I think he really needs acting to be able to have a voice.

    This is the first time I’ve watched one of these and have seen every project talked about in the video. What an awesome career. It’s crazy to me that I’m almost 32 and he’s been in my favorite movies since I was a little girl.
    Although I am bummed that he didn’t cover his brief roll in Community because that remains one of the best surprises I’ve ever had in a tv show.

    I love this man. Always great, always Incredibly believable. He's one of the few actors that for some reason make me tear up just talking about something both as themselves and in a role. The first thing I saw him in him was Coyote Ugly and I still go back repeatedly just to let him steal my heart away again and again.

    I wish he would have talked about his character on the West Wing. I thought he hit a great balance of outwardly playing the stereotype of a callous self-important politician while subtly showing signs that he really cared about his country and its people.
    He played that part with more depth than I think the audience expected.

    john goodman is one of my favorite actors ever, i love him so much. I've only ever cried about 2 celebrities passing away (steve irwin and robin williams) but i know i'm gonna be a mess when john goodman passes. he almost feels like family because he's been around my whole life and has played so many important characters to me

    I recognized his incredible talent as a child, growing up on Roseanne. His acting was so realistic. I fell in love with him. Just an incredible actor. When I saw 'The Big Lebowski', I was roaring! To this day, Walter Sobcheck one of my favorite characters of all time!
